Kaiden Lawson a 17-year-old boy with jet black hair and red colored eyes, these were not normal features for an individual especially for a teenager to have but there was nothing normal about the world he lived on too which had two stars that brightened the sky for every day and asteroid ring that surrounded the planet making the night sky beautiful to gaze upon. Kaiden was a boy with no title and lacked experience of outside interaction since his life was nothing but training and the oasis.
Kaiden would be meditating on top of a boulder next to a large lake that was surrounded by green grass and tall bushy trees that that howled in the wind. Across from Kaiden was Master Kilo who was on the boulder with him, observing Kaiden as he was blocking the light from the stars with his head making a shadow over Kaiden. Both the old man and Kaiden were shirtless, showing a red line pattern that reached across their muscular bodies, leading to a large circle on their chest. The difference was that Master Kilo was old and showed many scars all over his body with his patterns somehow intact.
Kaiden had his eyes closed tightly, trying to concentrate on the peacefulness of the oasis but is having trouble to do so as he felt his masters gaze burning through him.
“Master Kilo… I don’t think I can concentrate if you’re staring at me so intensely.”
Master Kilo glared at Kaiden and lets out a sigh, shaking his head.
“Kaiden, don't give me a sorry excuse and just do it like I've showed you countless of times!”
Master Kilo would crouch right in front of Kaiden and grabs him by his hair, throwing him aggressively off the boulder towards the lake with such force that made Kaiden bounce off the water and smash into a nearby tree. Kaiden would let out a painful groan and slowly gets up and looked across the lake towards Master Kilo who was standing on the boulder.
“What the hell was that for you old bastard!”
He shouted out towards Master Kilo from across the lake in anger but in a flash, Master Kilo would fly towards Kaiden right over the lake without leaving a stream of water and land in front of Kaiden a few feet away.
“Old bastard? Seems like you need another beating to teach you some respect boy.”
Master Kilo said with a threatening aura that poured out and flared around his body. Kaiden would sweat and stiffen like a board, changing his tone towards Master Kilo.
“N-No need Master Kilo! I m-meant master not bastard, Haha.”
Kaiden would stutter and gulped nervously. Master Kilo would put his hands behind his back and close his eyes as his aura slowly seeped back into his body.
“Hmph. That is punishment for wasting both of our time… Next time do it properly like I’ve always showed you and you better show improvements!”
Master Kilo looked up towards the twin stars then back at Kaiden with a fierce look.
“Hm, let us move on to what is next since there is still time left. Meet me in the pit within 10 minutes, if you are late, I’ll bury you alive.”
Master Kilo would vanish at high speeds.
"Damn that old man..."
Kaiden would let out a deep sigh and didn’t waste any time, channeling his inner power throughout his body and vanishing as well at high speeds. The pit was a wide and deep hole outside the large oasis that Master Kilo made Kaiden dig up in the blue sand desert, the pit was 10 miles west from the oasis but not far for Master Kilo, he could make it to the pit within 5 minutes. Master Kilo would be inside of the pit standing with his arms crossed waiting for Kaiden.
“Knowing that boy, he should take at least 25 minutes to get here… My threat should be enough to motivate him to get here faster and to focus more on his training once he realizes how slow he is.”
Master Kilo would say to himself while waiting and grin thinking how great of a master he was. 8 minutes would pass and Kaiden would finally make it to the pit, breathing heavily and sweating profusely, being exhausted from flying full speed.
“Oh, shit that run nearly killed me… running 10 miles to the pit isn’t fun anymore master!”
Kaiden would be out of breath but didn't want to waste time recovering, jumping down into the pit and looked towards Master Kilo who smiled at him.
“Took you 13 minutes to get here but I’ll let it slide since you actually showed some improvements of time.”
Master Kilo would clap his hands together which made an echo inside the pit.
“Now that you finally made it, we could get started on our spar!”

Master Kilo would smirk and got into his stance with his legs apart and fist forward. Kaiden would look surprised because he would rarely spar with Master Kilo and every time he did it was always his loss.
“Alright! I’ve been itching to knock you down, Haha!”
Kaiden would be excited and quickly getting into the same stance as his masters.
“You really show your true colors whenever you get a chance to lay a hand on your master?”
Master Kilo said, annoyed at Kaiden's response. Silence would fill the air but, in that moment, Master Kilo would dash towards Kaiden and sends a heavy punch to his face which Kaiden barely dodges, grazing his cheek but Master Kilo wasn’t finished following with another attack kicking Kaiden in the face, sending him flying back and crashing deep into the walls of the pit.
“Aghh!”
The crash would cause sand and dirt to smoke the air which Kaiden took advantage of. Kaiden would dash forward through the smoke and strike his fist towards his master, but Master Kilo would easily duck under his punch.
“How slow and predictable you are boy! Use your head!!”
Master Kilo would then uppercut Kaiden on the chin sending him up in the air then flying up and kicking him back down into the ground making Kaiden yell out in pain.
“Damnit!”
Kaiden would groan a breath heavily as he slowly gets up from the rubble, trying to find his balance while Master Kilo lands in front of him.
“Just a couple of hits and you’re already ready to give up? Show me that I didn't waste 11 years training you!"
Master Kilo would dart forward to Kaiden, sending a kick towards his chest.
“Shut up!”
Kaiden shouted and stomps onto the ground causing it to shatter and raise which surprised Master Kilo, making him lose his footing. Kaiden’s red patterns would glow a bright red causing his body to steam heat as he rushes forward, channeling his inner power to his fist and punching Master Kilo into the ground causing it to shatter more and destroying the pit. Kaiden would breathe heavily as his patterns glow slowly dims and fades.
“D-did I get him?”
Kaiden thought to himself but would feel something hard against his knuckles, the sand in the air would settle and show that Master Kilo blocked it completely with his forearm, and in a menacing voice.
“You call that a punch…”
Master Kilo would clench his fist tightly.
“Shit!”
Kaiden would try and throw another heavy punch but was too slow as Master Kilo lands a fast jab to his face knocking him out cold.
“Ah…”
Kaiden would fall onto the floor unconscious ending the spar that lasted for but a moment. Master Kilo felt a slight pain in his forearm noticing a large bruise and a small fracture.
“Hmph… You're one hell of a kid. Lucky shot anyways.”
He smiled softly and picked up Kaiden, taking him back to the Oasis. Master Kilo would leave Kaiden laying on the grass and finally awakens after a few hours, he slowly sits up and notices Master Kilo starting a fire next to him.
“Ugh… I think you gave me brain damage.”
Kaiden would rub his head and groan a little in pain.
“Stop your whining… I didn’t hit you that hard.”
Master Kilo sat down across from Kaiden, wrapping cloth around his damaged forearm. Kaiden would notice the injury on Master Kilo.
“Hey what happened to yo-.”
Master Kilo would flick a max pill into his mouth to shut him up, making him choke and cough a bit.
“Shut up and go to sleep! That max pill should be enough to heal and feed you!”
Master Kilo shouted.
“But I just woke up!”
Kaiden argued back.
“Guess you want to get knocked out again huh!”
Master Kilo threatened and Kaiden quickly laid back down, facing away.
“That’s what I thought.”
After a while Master Kilo would look over to Kaiden to check if he was asleep then looked into the fire, suddenly breathing heavily and groan a bit in pain becoming exhausted.
“I’m running out of time…”
Master Kilo whispered to himself and slowly lays down, quickly falling asleep without noticing Kaiden still being awake. Kaiden slowly sits up.
“Running out of time for what old man…”
Kaiden said towards Master Kilo knowing he couldn’t hear him. Deep into the night Kaiden was going on a walk around the Oasis and went to the large boulder where Master Kilo threw him off, flying to the top and sitting down looking up at the night sky.
"Wonder what he meant about time... seeing someone as strong as him sound so weak isn't much of a relief.”
Kaiden said to himself and laid back, closing his eyes but suddenly a girl’s voice could be heard next to him.
“Hello there!”
Kaiden opened his eyes and looked up, noticing the girl looking down at him. Kaiden jumped up, getting into a defensive stance, surprised since he didn’t even notice the girl at all.
“Who the hell are you?!”
Kaiden never met or interacted with anyone new since the only person he talks to was Master kilo but now here's his chance, he had a good look at the girl, she had silver hair and bright green eyes but no pupil which was strange, wearing a clean blue cloak that covered her entirely.
“I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to scare you.”
She laughed at Kaiden’s reaction and raised her hands up a little.
“My name is Ava Hall and I'm an adventurer from a village called Aston!”
She said excitedly and smiles towards the now confused Kaiden.
