42 Paradise no more

I wheeze awake and look around. Rubble above me, a pillar keeps the rest of the building from crushing me.

I look down as my breathing comes out as wheezes, rebar’s stuck in my lung, rocks crush against my legs. I slowly close my eyes, I shake lightly, No, got to stay awake.

I got my wish, no more paradise. Because of me, people will die in droves, soldiers will kill every person like me. I have to fix it- I groan as I try moving off the bar. I moan, slide further on as my forehead suddenly rests on the rubble below. My eyes can’t help but close.

I must fix it, bring back paradise.
