“What” I and two other people say when Emily says we are dating.
“Yep, Nyx is my partner” She said, with absolute confidence.
Calder looked back and forth between the two of us. And then spoke up. “But you're both girls?”
“Two girls can be in a retionship” Emily shot back.
“But if you have a girlfriend” the A css girl says.
“What about it? I have a girlfriend” she says.
“What about Rowan?” the A css girl brings up.
But that is the st part of the conversation I hear. My mind was rushing. I didn’t understand what she was saying.
We never started dating, so I had no clue where she was coming from.
I didn’t know what to do. In my past life, I had no dating experience.
And I think this coming up brought back some of my agoraphobia. My breathing was geting ragged.
Not really sure what to do, I ran away while everyone was focused on Emily saying we were dating.
∴
“What about Rowan? What do you mean?” Emily said.
“I mean, he’s in love with you” Elena says.
“And I care why. I think it's clear that I am not interested in him, I have a girlfriend” Emily brought up.
“Well, well, well. Who has a what now?” a new member of the conversation says.
The group of 4 people turn to see who it was, only to find three new people.
“Micheal” Emily says.
“Why hello, Sister” he says to her. He was followed by two girls, both of whom were rumored to be dating him.
“What are you doing here?”
“I'm guessing the same as you, Hunting” he said to her. “Now what is this I hear about you having a girlfriend”.
“None of your business”
“Now, now, just who is this girl”
And this st sentence gets the group to finally notice that two people had left.
“Shit” Emily said, running from the group.

“Who might you be” the women's whose house I just knocked on the door of asked me.
“I’m an adventurer. I hear that you make a special coat?” I tell them.
“Hmm, come in. You hear right” they say, welcoming me into their home.
Inside, there was a number of things telling me that this women used to be a seamstress. Old manikins, designs for clothes and fabrics all other the pce.
“So, what coat is it that you want? Not that many people come to me anymore” the women says.
“The bunny hood” I tell them.
“Oh, an interesting choice. By far, the least popur of my items.”
This woman was a hidden merchant inside of the capital. There was no indicator of her shop, meaning the only way to find it was by following small hints in dialogue or guessing.
She offered a bunch of high grade items for retively cheap.
“And I'm guessing you need to know the price?” she asked me.
“No, I think I should have enough,” I told her in response.
‘Really, my price is quite unusual. I need you to procure 25 rabbits horns”
“I already have them” I say, opening my bag.
“Well, lets get started.”
From there, she asked me to get onto a tailors stand and started to measure me. She is quite fast at it.
From there, she grabs the items and heads into a back room.
As she works, she expins how the items she makes work. When a monster item is ground down and added to string, the items made with that string become magically infused with the item.
For low css monsters, this is a retively small boost in either strength or defense. But this is the basis of how dragon items work, they just infuse dragon scales into them, not horns from a rabbit.
The bunny hood she is making is actually one of the strongest items in the game, and even comes from such a weak monster.
Rabbit horns are pretty worthless, only selling for 5g each. And they are not an ingredient in any potion, or any crafting item.
But this women can use them to make this one item.
“All finished” she said after about an hour. She then came and handed me a coat. It was white in color. The hood part had two floppy bunny ears on it. It was a long coat that would go down to around my mid-calf. And around where my tailbone would be was a ball, simuting the tail.
It was undeniably adorable.
When I grabbed it from here, I received a message.
*Hidden Quest - Retired Seamstress*
*Completed*
*Reward - Bunny Hood x1*
*New Game Plus Bonus*
*You Gained 100 Points*
“Thank you” I tell the woman and leave her house.
“Come again” she says as I walk away.
I put the coat on as I made my way back to the school. I wasn’t sure what I was going to do for the rest of the day, but hunting more seemed like a good idea.
The reason this cloak was one of the best items in the game was the bonus it gave. It was a 300% increase in the speed stat.
Scaling items were not very strange, but items that boosted speed were quite rare. After a certain point, all the items you would be using were scaling items. But speed was the one pce you would always fall behind. There was no other scaling item for speed. Outside of this, you could get items that gave maybe +100 speed, but even those were rare.
So this item is a must have for speed builds. But it had a few problems. It could hold only 2 upgrades and took up the main armor piece.
The way upgrades worked was based on things called componentes. They were items that gave extra bonuses to armor or weapons. Like an extra +50 defense. There were some strong ones, but only having two slots, when three was the bare minimum for real post game items was a drawback.
Putting the coat on, I can feel my body get lighter, like I can move much faster. The speed stat affects both reaction time and movement speed. It was still only around noon, so there were a lot of people in the capital streets.
Making my decisions quickly, I head back into the school and back to the adventures guild. Using the teleporter, I head back to Valethrone.
There were a number of other items I could get while I was here, so I just started working on those.
First things first would be a sword.
The best one avaible to me currently was dawnbringer.
It was in one of the caves by the first mountain, guarded by a dragon.
It's a lesser dragon, meaning it should only be graded for someone level 25. I wasn’t there yet, so this wasn’t a great option.
My next best would be to gather money to get a better sword while leveling up.
This changes my goal to getting money.
The best way to grind in this area is goblin camps. Goblins have 2 drops, being goblin teeth and lucid shards. The teeth sell for around 10 gold, but the lucid shard sells for around 50g each.
Goblin camps spawn with 10 goblins each, so that is at least one lucid shard per den, since it has a 10% drop chance.
There is a 5% chance that a hobgoblin spawns in the camp. They have a higher chance of dropping the shard, at 25% instead.
My sword was a +5 str and I wanted at least a +25 before fighting the dragon. Those go for around 10,000 gold.
Once I got a few more levels, I could switch to a better location to grind money. But I would need to be around level 10 for that.
∴
I move pretty quickly through the forces as I look for goblin camps. They were deeper into the forest then the rabbits I was hunting earlier. The deeper you get into the forest the stronger the monsters get.
At the very end of the forest, you hit full camps of hobgoblins and other such monsters. After that is the point where you start getting into the mountain range, where the monsters change.
My sword was sheathed on my belt. I needed to get some practice with magic for the day.
It ended up taking me around 10 minutes to find the first camp.
It seemed just like a human camp. Logs and seating pced around a camp fire. Stroon around the camp were clubs and other makeshift weapons.
The 10 total goblins were seated all around the fire.
I decide to stop right at the tree line, so they don’t see me.
I cast a single fire arrow right at one of the goblins, killing it instantly. This was because goblins are weak to magic.
*You Killed a goblin*
*You gained 16 XP*
*You gained 37 Fire magic XP*
Seeing the friend die, the rest of the goblins get up, but I quickly fire at all of them, killing each in one shot.

Looking around the camp in the aftermath, I find 3 teeth and one shard. With only about 10 minutes of work, I got 80g.
I decided to do this for the rest of the day, while thinking about what happened earlier.

Emily spent the rest of her day looking for Nyx. She had no clue where they went.
She could only bme herself.
She didn’t know how Nyx felt about things like that.
BUt she could tell that the guy talking to her liked her.
While looking for them, she killed a few rabbits and gained a level. She thought back to how Nyx was hunting and was amazed at the dedication.
It was unreal. She hunted for 2 straight hours.
IN truth, normal adventures only hunted for around 2 or 3 hours a day, with a lot of stops. If they do any more, the risk exhaustion and possibly colpse in a dangerous area.
Emily expected Nyx to want to head back after hunting all those rabbits, then she would come back out ter to hunt on her own.
BUt Nyx seems to be an anomaly.
Because Emily knew they were still hunting.
Because every now and again, a new message would pop up, telling her that Nyx gained another level, or gained a higher proficiency.
Where most students would come out early and finish by lunch time, Nyx went all day.
It wasn't until te, almost dinner time, that Emily ran into Rose.
“Nyx went home. You should as well” was all the girl said to Emily, then she vanished.
Emily, deciding she was right, headed back to the dorm, hoping to run into Nyx there.
∴
In the end I hunted 12 more camps, killing them all. I leveled up once in each magic, and gained one more level.
I also got 33 total teeth and 13 total shards, totaling 980g, about 10% of my goal.
And when I left the hunting area for the day, I received 2 new messages.
