Chapter 269: Sending the God-Kings to Reincarnation

Chapter 269: Sending the God-Kings to Reincarnation

"Normally, after becoming a god, one can remain on the Douluo Continent for a maximum of seven years," Qin Xiao expined. "After seven years, ascending to the God Realm is mandatory."

"Of course, this is under normal circumstances. If you wish to stay longer, you may, as long as you refrain from using powers that exceed the Douluo Continent's capacity."

In the grand hall, Qin Xiao was expining some basic knowledge to the newly ascended gods. Their inheritance of godhood had been hasty, and many had yet to fully integrate their inherited memories.

"But isn’t the God Realm filled with intricate power struggles? Each God-King has their own faction. Won’t this cause trouble for you, given that you’ve just become a God-King and taken over the God Realm?" Ning Fengzhi asked, clearly concerned.

Qin Xiao waved his hand dismissively. "Don’t worry. Once I return to the God Realm, the two remaining God-Kings, the God of Kindness and the God of Evil, will enter reincarnation. By then, there will only be one faction in the God Realm."

  The room fell silent.

Everyone was left in shock, their minds bnk aside from overwhelming disbelief.

They understood exactly what Qin Xiao meant.

He was essentially saying, "The God Realm is mine. I’ll do as I please. No need for formalities; you’re all family here."

Zhao Wuji opened his mouth, thought for a long while, and finally muttered, "Impressive."

Indeed, this was the only sentiment that could capture Qin Xiao’s domineering aura.

"Will you stay on the Douluo Continent for a few years?" Qian Daoliu asked.

"No," Qin Xiao replied, shaking his head. "As I mentioned earlier, those two God-Kings are waiting for me to send them on their way. I’m very busy and will leave tomorrow."

Qin Xiao spread his hands in mock helplessness.

The others, however, were more helpless than him.

  "Sending God-Kings on their way…"

Only Qin Xiao could say something so absurd without raising an eyebrow. Anyone else would have been dismissed as insane and thrown out of the hall.

"Well, that’s all I needed to say."

"Xixi, Xue’er, Zhuqing, Erlong, Yiran…" Qin Xiao called, turning to leave the hall. "Let’s go. Your powers have increased drastically, and I need to guide you properly so you can adapt to your new strength."

To others, Qin Xiao’s words seemed perfectly reasonable. Zhao Wuji even envied those receiving personal instruction from a God-King.

However, Zhu Zhuqing, Meng Yiran, and the others knew better. They were certain Qin Xiao wasn’t pnning to guide them at all.

Instead, he was up to no good.

And this time, he had gathered all of them. Wasn’t this going a bit too far?

For them, the st night on the Douluo Continent would undoubtedly be unforgettable.

  The Next Morning

A miraculous scene unfolded above Thunder City.

  The gods ascended.

Upon returning to the God Realm, Qin Xiao headed straight for the Temple of Destruction.

Using lightning, he reforged the temple.

The once oppressive and pitch-bck temple underwent a stunning transformation. After enduring countless lightning strikes, every brick and tile sparkled with a crystalline sheen, radiating a faint purple hue that exuded a sense of majesty.

"You may enter the temple and rest. Do not come out without my summons," Qin Xiao said, standing before the revitalized temple with his back to the group.

"And you, husband?" Bo Saixi couldn’t help but ask.

"I need to receive some guests. What happens next depends on their choices," Qin Xiao replied, turning to smile at them. "Don’t worry about me. Besides, I have her with me."

He gestured toward Gu Yuena, who stood nearby, watching coldly.

Gu Yuena turned her head away, clearly unwilling to engage with Qin Xiao.

"Hmph, this fickle man, already courting others after just a few days," Gu Yuena thought to herself, grumbling internally.

Still, she stayed close, knowing full well her responsibilities in the situation.

"Very well, we won’t disturb you," the others said, entering the temple.

Though they were now gods, their strength was limited. They had only recently ascended, their power equivalent to that of third-css gods. Should Qin Xiao truly face a conflict with other gods, their presence would only be a hindrance.

"You in the open, me in the shadows. That way, we leave no room for failure," Gu Yuena said before her form shimmered and vanished into the void.

Qin Xiao could still sense her presence, proof that she had hidden herself nearby and hadn’t left.

The thunderous reforging of the Temple of Destruction sent shockwaves through the God Realm.

The God Realm wasn’t vast, and its inhabitants were extraordinarily powerful. Even the slightest disturbance wouldn’t escape their notice.

For the gods aligned with the Destruction God King, the event was especially arming.

They knew that the one who had returned was even more terrifying than the Destruction God King himself.

To be honest, they all wished they could dig a hole, crawl in, and hide.

  But hiding wasn’t an option.

  Nor could they escape.

Resolving themselves, the gods of the Destruction faction reluctantly made their way to the newly transformed Temple of Destruction.

"We greet the God-King," they said in unison, their expressions a mix of forced smiles and exaggerated deference.

It was as if Qin Xiao had always been their master.

  The scene was unexpectedly harmonious.

As time passed, more and more gods gathered outside the temple. Qin Xiao looked over the crowd and, feeling that everyone who needed to be there had arrived, asked, "Why have you all come to see me?"

The question… left them momentarily speechless.

  This was unexpected.

How should they respond? If they said they were here to pay their respects, wouldn’t that seem overly sycophantic?

While it was true, they still needed to preserve some dignity.

Of course, after a brief moment of awkward silence, one clever individual came up with an answer.

"God-King, I am here to report for duty."

  Ah, yes. Reporting for duty.

"The God of Kindness and the God of Evil had already decreed that you would be taking over the responsibilities of the Destruction God King.

Since you weren’t in the God Realm until now, we came as soon as we heard you had returned."

Heh, a clever one indeed. Qin Xiao’s face showed a satisfied smile.

The other gods secretly breathed a sigh of relief, knowing they had cleared the first hurdle.

Now it was a matter of seeing what Qin Xiao had pnned for them.

Fortunately, Qin Xiao’s next words put them at ease.

"I don’t think we need to make things overly complicated," he said casually. "I’ve just arrived and am not yet familiar with the God Realm’s workings. Everyone can continue performing their duties as they were.

Of course, if you have any issues or concerns, feel free to bring them to me."

Qin Xiao’s gaze swept across the gathered gods as he finished speaking.

However, not a single god dared to meet his eyes.

The atmosphere in the temple grew stiflingly tense.

After a long silence, Qin Xiao finally withdrew his gaze. "It seems everyone is satisfied with their current positions. In that case, I won’t interfere unnecessarily."

With a wave of his hand, he added, "You may all leave."

  "Yes!"

This time, the gods responded loudly and in unison.

Then, without the slightest hesitation, they turned and left the temple as quickly as possible.

Their urgency gave Qin Xiao the impression that they were fleeing for their lives.

"Am I really that terrifying?" Qin Xiao shook his head and ughed after the gods had left.

  "Terrifying? Of course you are."

Gu Yuena’s voice rang out as her graceful figure reappeared before him.

"None of them have the backing of a God-King or even a first-css god anymore.

And let’s not forget—the Killing God, the Evil God, and the Destruction God are all dead at your hands. What’s left is a bunch of spineless opportunists.

They’re not just afraid of you—they’re utterly terrified."

Gu Yuena’s tone was filled with disdain as she gazed into the distance, her expression scornful.

Back then, if the God Realm hadn’t been filled with God-King-level powerhouses, how could these spineless beings have defeated her Dragon God Realm?

"That’s a bit harsh, don’t you think?" Qin Xiao retorted, unwilling to let the criticism stand. "Can’t it simply be that I, Qin Xiao, have won them over with my virtue?"

"Your virtue? Hah!" Gu Yuena gave him a sidelong gnce, her tone dripping with sarcasm. Then, with a single step, she disappeared from sight.

But before she vanished entirely, her voice lingered in the air.

"The one thing you ck most is virtue…"

Who’s she calling cking in virtue?Qin Xiao felt a twinge of irritation.

However, he didn’t pursue her to argue.

He understood well the wisdom of not trying to reason with a woman.

Casting one st gnce at the temple behind him, Qin Xiao turned and walked away.

It was about time to send the God of Kindness and the God of Evil on their way…

  Temple of Kindness

  “You’re here.”

  “I’m here.”

  “I knew you would come.”

“Because we agreed,” Qin Xiao replied, his tone calm as he looked at the two God-Kings seated on their thrones. “Do you have any st words you’d like to share?”

The God of Evil’s gaze flickered. “Please take good care of the gods…”

Qin Xiao smirked. “If there’s nothing meaningful to say, you can skip the formalities.”

This old fellow truly amused him.

Even at such a moment, he still cared about the gods. Qin Xiao felt the God of Evil should be more concerned about himself.

  The God of Evil: "…"

He didn’t even know why he had said that. Perhaps it was a habit ingrained from being a God-King for so long, always viewing matters from a broader perspective.

Qin Xiao then turned to the God of Kindness. “And you?”

The God of Kindness looked tenderly at the God of Evil and said, “I just wish to stay by his side.”

Qin Xiao nodded. “No problem. That’s what I promised you both.”

“Since you have nothing else to say, I’ll see you off.”

As he finished speaking, a shimmering curtain of light appeared in the temple, dispying one world after another.

  These weren’t ordinary scenes.

Each image represented a real world.

As a God-King, Qin Xiao could freely connect to these worlds—a power unique to those of his rank.

“Take a look,” Qin Xiao said, gesturing toward the glowing scenes. “See if there’s a world you’d like.”

“I’ve heard the Five Elements Continent is good…”

“I think the Heavenly Pearl Continent could work too…”

  “But how do we choose?”

  “I don’t know…”

The God of Kindness and the God of Evil discussed it briefly but couldn’t reach a decision.

Finally, they both turned to Qin Xiao and said in unison, “Why don’t you decide for us?”

“In that case, I’ll close my eyes and randomly throw you into a world. Wherever you nd will be up to fate.”

“Fair enough,” they agreed, nodding. “There isn’t a better option anyway.”

As their conversation concluded, a cracking sound echoed through the temple.

Qin Xiao looked closely and saw fine cracks spreading across the God of Kindness and the God of Evil’s bodies, like a spiderweb covering porcein.

In the next instant, their bodies shattered completely.

What remained were two palm-sized figures floating in mid-air, one bck and one white, each perched atop glowing orbs.

  These were their divine souls.

Or rather, their true souls, as both had willingly destroyed their divine bodies and relinquished their powers.

The glowing orbs beneath them represented their God-King thrones—the supreme seats of power that had once ruled the gods.

“Come, let me send you off,” Qin Xiao said, extending his hand. The two tiny figures gently floated into his palm.

Wrapping them in divine power, Qin Xiao closed his eyes and sent them into one of the shifting scenes within the light curtain.

  The image froze.

Qin Xiao smiled. “It’s the Five Elements Continent. Not bad.

  “Just remember—don’t drink too much.”

Turning his gaze back to the two vacant God-King thrones, Qin Xiao muttered, “No suitable candidates for now. I’ll hold onto these for ter. They’ll come in handy someday.”

First-css and lower-ranked god seats weren’t particurly valuable to him and could be allocated casually.

But a God-King’s throne? That was an entirely different matter.

In fact, he already had an idea in mind.

He pnned to reserve them for his future children.

Keeping wealth within the family was a principle he wholeheartedly agreed with.

Having finished his work, Qin Xiao’s expression grew serious. With a wave of his hand, he tore open the space, revealing the graceful figure of Bibi Dong.

Unlike her usual regal and icy demeanor, Bibi Dong now had her hair flowing freely down her back, her eyes brimming with curiosity as she surveyed her surroundings.

“So this is the God Realm?”

  “That’s right.”

“The concentration of energy here is extraordinary. It’s truly different from the Douluo Continent,” Bibi Dong said with a hint of awe.

“Well…” Qin Xiao hesitated. “It might also be because you’re standing in the God-King’s temple.”

The Douluo Continent had undergone significant elevation in its essence, and while it still couldn’t match the God Realm, the gap wasn’t as vast as before.

“Oh,” Bibi Dong said, a faint blush coloring her cheeks, feeling slightly embarrassed.

Quickly changing the subject, she added, “Enough talking. Just send me to reincarnation.”
