She whirled, her movement a blur, and five heads slid down with wet thumps. Soon the men to whom the five heads belonged dropped down dead. The ends of the scarlet scarf draped around her head came to a halt a few heartbeats after she stopped moving and covered one side of her face. The lone moon in the night sky and the burning torches around them illuminated the other side of her face revealing one blue eye staring intently at the man who still stood, behind the five dead men. Her feet were wide apart, the right in front of the left. Her two hands held two long swords dripping with blood.
She smelled burning flesh. The Mancer and his minions must be near. I must hurry!
She charged, brushing aside some falling dry leaves kicked up by the wind but the falling leaves froze mid-air. The flames on the torches stopped their dance.
