Chapter 4: The Show Is On

Why does she have to destroy the world plot anyway?

It is a test to keep her character free from her demeaning fate. Like Song Cha Hua, her first character in fiction. System Wu came from a different Earth, let us say a parallel universe where they are a millennium ahead of the 21st century where Hong Cha came from. From that different Earth, systems were created and sent to every 51 Earths where they can find capable hosts. Not those with live bodies but those that had died.

Hong Cha was not offered a second life again in exchange for transmigrating. Instead, she will regain her memories and decide whether to be a professional transmigrator or not. Once she finishes her trials and reaches the standards of a professional transmigrator, she will live on Earth 1, where System Wu came from. However, she has to enter an artificial body to live there. Systems from Earth 1 have to find women with strong spirits and have experienced traumas they have overcome.

She can't remember anything aside from her name, so Hong Cha can't tell what trauma she experienced that a system chose to develop her character. System Wu said Earth 1 is in dire need of professional transmigrators because some worlds are being destroyed and transmigrators are experiencing insanity due to the male gods they are dealing with. Male gods are like male leads in simple terms. But they are far more terrifying. Like a villainous male lead, to be exact.

Because of this, Earth 1 needs more female souls to rely on and stop world destruction. The trials Hong Cha has to pass have standards. She must learn to alternate the fate of her host. If she can't, then once she enters a real host, she might end up in a pitiful ending. Another is manipulation. The world she has to enter will no longer be a fiction where trials and errors are exempted. Furthermore, male gods are a terrifying existence. If she can't scheme against a male god, then she will die or even become crazy.

The third standard is scheming abilities. It is necessary in life. Then there is also masking emotions and mental and emotional adaptation. Because in some worlds, some can drive a transmigrator mad. Hong Cha has to enhance these abilities by destroying a world plot. She must not fall in love with any of the characters or she will utterly fail. Because a male god can have anything he asks. Name it, women or power. Some transmigrators were unwilling to part with the male god who manipulated them and made them love him. That is how dangerous the real transmigration is.

The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

"I wonder what the creep is planning." Hong Cha thought and took a stroll by the Yangtze River. Nian Xiaoyuan said they should meet here, and she should walk around if he hadn't arrived yet. She rotated the umbrella she held to keep the sunlight from her. Hong Cha looked back to the wide farmlands nearby. The Yangtze River is a fertile land. The best place to grow crops, but it is also violent if a flood comes. She stopped upon seeing a certain person.

Lin Xingjin was giving commands to the prefect and representatives. Farmers followed behind him as they listened to his ideas. The path where he walked was where Hong Cha stopped. Soon, he raised his head upon bringing down the scroll. Lin Xingjin paused to see her ahead. Her pretty hazel eyes were filled with loneliness. Hong Cha turned her back after knowing what Nian Xiaoyuan's plan was.

He wants her to take this chance and seduce the seventh prince! But where did Nian Xiaoyuan go? Why is the female lead not here as well? Isn't this the part where the female lead showed tricks on how to build a proper irrigation plan?

"Cha Hua!" out of her expectations, Lin Xingjin called for her. Hong Cha turned to him. Hoh, the male lead is smiling. Wasn't he a cold dude? Why is smiling at her?

"Your Highness, it's embarrassing for telling my name loudly." she spoke after performing a bow.

"Cha Hua, don't be that distant." he leaned down a bit with his hands on his knees. Lin Xingjin used his curled hand to lift the umbrella covering her. He came to see her round little white face and met her enchanting hazel eyes. This made him dazed a bit. Those eyes are somehow familiar to him. Where had he seen it before?

"Is Prince Brother not busy?" she moved her eyes to the people behind him. Lin Xingjin looked away and faced the civilians.

"Prefect, this prince wishes to speak with an acquaintance in private." Lin Xingjin emphasized. The prefect understood and left with the farmers. "Cha Hua, what made you come here?"

"Uhm, actually..." Hong Cha looked around until she saw Nian Xiaoyuan far from them. He is leaning on a tree with a sly smile. "Prince Brother, do not tell Father I went here."

"Hm? Why? Cha Hua, are you hiding something?" Lin Xingjin frowned. The Song Cha Hua, in his memories,, had never kept a secret from him. He is sure she will say it.

"I am supposed to meet someone here. But, he did not show up." she carefully said. Lin Xingjin took a good look at her. She doesn't look flustered or shy, then who is this 'he' she mentioned?

  "Who?" he inquired.

Hong Cha peeked behind him. Nian Xiaoyuan placed his hand on his chest where his heart lies before pressing his index finger on his lips. She immediately understood what he meant.

"S-someone special. I can't tell." her little white face turned pink as she nervously rotated the umbrella's handle.

"Cha Hua, you can tell me." Lin Xingjin huffed. He pinched her cheek lightly. "Come on. Tell me. I will not spill it to Master."

"Uhm..." she looked back at Nian Xiaoyuan again. To her shock, Zhao Xue arrived next to him. He pointed in their direction. Zhao Xue looked at them and Hong Cha quickly turned to Lin Xingjin. "Prince Brother, I will get in trouble if Father knows this."

Pearly tears suddenly fell down. Lin Xingjin was taken aback. She let go of the umbrella as it fell so she could wipe her tears. The young man took pity and rubbed her head.
