The Dangers of a Fire 3

Getting off the jet, Gun sighed. It wasn’t a sad or tired sigh; it was the relieved kind. He hated being in the sky, but it was now part of his job, part of his lifestyle. Looking ahead at the car here to pick him up, he smiled. Jason climbed out of the driver’s side.

Rushing up to him, he hugged him tightly. “Thank you for picking me up.”

He groaned, “Okay, okay, enough of the lovey dovey treatment. People might think I’m using you for your money.”

Staring at him, Gun smirked and pulled at the hairs of Jason’s beard that he was growing. “But you are, aren’t you, my sugar baby?”

Swatting his hand away, Jason said, “Come, dad, your other children are waiting.”

Sitting in the back of the car, his legs were shaking. This was the first time that he was driving in the car with Jason since he got his licence. It took him a while because the little bastard was so zy and now with him driving, the fuel cost was high because he just liked driving around. Before he couldn’t because it was a hassle to ask the guards to drive him around.

“So how’s school been?” He asked. Jason could tell that he was nervous.

Smirking, he answered, “School’s been fine. I got detention, though, for the whole month.”

“Right, I heard about that,” Gun mumbled with a raised brow as he read an invitation. Sighing, “They wanted me to come for a meeting to discuss your sudden change of behaviour.” Looking at him through the rearview mirror, he said, “They suspect that one of the influences is this girl you’re dating. So tell me, when can I meet her?”

He frowned. “It’s got nothing to do with her. I got tired of them bullying me for speaking funny.”

“So you showed them you’ll take their teeth out? I’m paying off their medical bills and therapy sessions. Not to mention you got sued for harming them.”

“Why don’t you just pay them off once and for all”

“Because I don’t have the money to feed into your new shitty lifestyle. You still haven’t told me about this girlfriend of yours? Since I know nothing about her and trust me, I tried my best not to look into her family background, so I’m all ears now that we’re alone.”

He smiled. “Want to go for lunch before we go to the family house?”

“You know I don’t eat without the others.”

“What happened to spending time together?” Jason countered.

Defeated, Gun nodded, “Fine, but you’re paying.”

  “Transfer the money then.”

“About her? It’s not serious. Actually, I met her at a party. We pyed truth or dare and I was dared to kiss her. We kissed, and I thought it was the end but turns out the one who dared us was her boyfriend. They broke up a week ter because of his stupid dare. Then I met her sister and I’m with her now.”

“What?” Gun asked with his jaw on the floor.

Jason started ughing. “Nice story, isn’t it?”

“No, just sounds like a bunch of kids messing around.”

“Well, it is. Her sister and I also met at the party. I thought it was her at first, but it’s ter on when she was bitching about her I discovered they were sisters. A year apart, actually.”

“So you and this sister tell me more about her. I need a name and all.”

Drinking his milkshake, he smiled. “Her name is Celia Berge. She’s beautiful, but we’re not serious.”

“Expin not serious child, I don’t see why you’re being mysterious and this sister story,” Gun said, annoyed.

Biting the burger, he chuckled, “Fine, here’s the story. Camilia and I kissed, and it became a joke at the party. I barely have friends and I was only invited because I’m apparently beled, ‘The handsome badboy.’ So now with me hurting the others, I’m apparently cool. But still became the joke of the school. I got tired of them and their games, so I left and went to sit outside. Celia came up to me, literally made herself welcome and sat on me.”

Jason started ughing, wiping his lips. He expined, “I was lying on the beach chair and it was dark. She sat down on me and didn’t even greet, she just kissed me and when she was done she asked, ‘I’m a better kisser than her, right?’ She then asked me if I could take her home after we had a few drinks and got to talking and I got invited in. We had sex…”

Gun groaned. Sighing, he picked up the knife and pointed it at him. “And you call this not being serious?”

He shrugged. “It’s not like she’s pregnant. I admit, I almost forgot to use protection, but she had some ready.”

“She sounds like she’s done it before.” Gun said with a sigh.

“As I said, it’s not serious. Another guy warned me about being with her once we went public. Turns out she likes the lonely boys, although she dates them in the shadows.”

  “And you’re okay with this?”

He shook his head. “It’s fine. I don’t really care.”

“What do you mean, you don’t care? You had sex with someone you don’t love. Your father was my first everything.”

“And that’s why you’re still single?” Jason asked. He wasn’t trying to talk him down more, but to make him aware of his situation.

Gun choked on the feeling of being alone. “I loved your father, Jason.”

“I know you did, but he’s dead and you’re getting old. You look miserable and lonely. Why don’t you just start dating?”

He sighed. “We’re not here to talk about me. This is about you, child.”

“I’m not a child anymore. Yeah, I had sex with someone I don’t love, but I know what I’m doing. I want to be reckless, to experience everything. Or do you want me to find my true love now and ruin something I know nothing about?”

Gun sighed. Resting a hand on his hand as he looked at his son, he asked, “Why do you have to be so harsh? Fine, I won’t say anything, but I don’t want you having a child, especially from a whore.”

“She’s not a whore. I think she’s just looking for attention from someone other than her family. She’s the least liked in her house and her sister rubs it in her face that she and I kissed. I think she feels bitter about that, too.”

“So you’re dating someone with issues?” He asked.

Nodding his head, “Yeah, and stop being mean. Didn’t you always tell me to be nice to people?”

“Is this your definition of being nice?” Gun asked, perplexed.

Jason shook his head. “No. I think I like her, so when you do meet her, just don’t say anything.”

Gun scoffed, “Whatever, child. You deserve all you want and I want the best for you, so experiment all you want, just no drugs and STIs.” Staring at him affectionately he said, “You know I love you, right?”

Jason nodded, “Yeah. I love you too, dad.”
