3 – Whoops

  Re-Estize Kingdom, Bleakrock Vilge - 4 days ter(Bellriver/Bell)

  "Um...Hey"

The silence was deafening, as well as awkward. The human and abomination stared at each other for a minute before the human snapped out of his stupor, raising his hand, which held a foldable crossbow.

"D-Demon" were the only words the priest could choke out.

Bellriver attempted to de-escate the situation, raising all four arms and replying, "Hey priest, I don't want any trouble. I'm just..lost and need directions."

Hearing this, the priest tensed up and started to back away from Bell, stepping back out of the doorway. Bell watched as the terrified priest tripped and fell over himself, scrambled to get back up, and ran out of his line of sight. However, he could still sense the priest. If that made any sense, Bell could feel the priest's flesh, which acted as a radar for him. The [Flesh Abomination] didn't notice it until now, but when he focused on that sense, he could tell that there were at least 20 more creatures in the area around him. He assumed that it was one of his race's [Racial Traits], intrinsic traits that every race in YGGDRASIL had, some harmful and some beneficial.

He wished Momonga was here. That guy memorized everything in the game; he was a walking encyclopedia. Snapping out of his thoughts, his [Flesh Sense], which was the name of the ability if he remembered correctly, sensed that multiple humans or what looked like humans were surrounding the building he was in.

  (Priest guy/ Dano)

Dano tripped as he ran from the unholy abomination of flesh and bone. He saw the creature looking at him through the doorway, almost as if mocking him. He scrambled to get back up and returned to the rest of his unit, one of the Sne Theocracy's prestigious scriptures, the Clearwater Scripture.

'This was supposed to be an easy mission.' He cursed the Sorcerer Kingdom, its undead king, and the Re-Estize Kingdom's incompetence. As he entered the square, the men guarding it stopped him and held the panicking man at bay.

"Whoa, soldier, calm down, calm down," one of the men said as he grabbed the panicked soldier.

  "What's wrong," another said.

"D-DEMON!" Dano screamed. All the other men in his unit suddenly stiffened up, "There was some abomination in that shed." he said, pointing toward where he had just come from.

The other members of Clearwater Scripture began to panic. What if this was one of the Demon King, Jaldebeoth's subordinates? They would be obliterated in an instant.

"CALM DOWN, MEN!" an authoritative voice called out, dissipating the mounting panic. The soldiers clustered around Dano immediately turned to the sound of their commanding officer. As Corporal Berelius exited one of the towns' houses, he turned and looked towards Dano. "Report! What did you find again?"

"S-s-SIR, I saw what appears to be a demon on the local Baron's property." Dano managed to choke out before snapping to attention. Corporal Berelius was known among the Theocracy as a legend. He was rumored to have been a choice to join the Theocracy's elite Bck Scripture and has even met with the Pontefus himself.

"Then we must strike fast and cleanse this world of the demonic abomination. Men rally up! Strike formation, Kofu!" the Corporal said as he moved past his men. As the soldiers of the Clearwater Scripture formed around where the "demon" was, the wall to the shed suddenly burst in a shower of wood.

  (Pov Bellriver/Bell)

'Fuck it' were the [Flesh Abomination]'s st thoughts before deciding to unch out of the shed toward his new "friends." As the dust and coughing of the men subsided, Bellriver realized one crucial detail that he had forgotten - He hadn't had a pn for this. As a matter of fact, it was borderline suicidal. What if his assaints were able to injure him? Or, worse, HIGH-LEVEL PLAYERS? He snapped out of his thoughts and entered a state of [Battle Focus], a skill his character had. He felt like his senses were sharpened, to the point of things being in semi-slow motion, so when a spell suddenly hurled towards him, he dodged, almost out of instinct. It moved as if he had practiced this many times before.

"Foul demon," words ced with disgust came from his left; as Bell turned, he took in the potential threats before him.

There were about 20 of those priest-looking guys. By how they stood, he could tell they were either soldiers or mercenaries. He noticed that all of them were fanned out in a semicircle formation around him. He wasn't a military guy, but he did pick up some tidbits from his interactions with Punnet Moe.

"Abomination of the Nine Hells, why are you here?" The voice that previously antagonized him could be pinpointed to a young man in his twenties. It seemed that he was just one of these warrior priests, but Bellriveer noticed slight differences in his uniform and some of the priests standing in a defensive formation around him. He assumed that the young man was either their leader or an officer in their organization.

'Definitely need to not kill that guy,' the [Flesh Abomination] mused to himself before turning his attention back to the man, who was now monologing.

"- hing like you had to have been summoned, so who did it? The vilgers? I highly doubt it. Or was it Jaldaboth? Maybe you are one of the Sorcerer King's servants. Tell me, and I will purify you quickly so you can return to Shurshana's realm." the man finished with a shit-eating smirk.

Bellriver hated arrogance; he saw those who were consumed by their pride as idiots who were satisfied with stagnation.

"Well, before things get violent, let's get introductions out of the way! I would rather us not be in conflict with one another; my name is Bellriver, and you are..." Bell attempted to de-escate the situation. He did gain some important information regarding some of the world's major pyers from the young man's monologue, but the information he got wasn't enough to form a complete picture of this world's strength level.

"You must think me a fool for giving you my name..." Bellriver was absolutely dumbfounded by this. He was trying to be friendly! Snapping out of his stupor, he heard, "...every child in the Theocracy knows that giving one's name to a demon is to give it your soul. I feel sorry for you for now; you will face the might of the Clearwater Scripture. Men vanquish this demon!" he finished with a pose that would impress the rolepyers from his guild.
