CASE: 206 – THE UNTOLD TRUTHPastCHAPTER 01: THE CALL
11:00 AM, Nightvill Police Station
Everyone was busy with their work—helping victims and taking care of people in need. The air was filled with tension and felt heavy. In the middle of all this, a phone rang on one of the constable’s desks.
“Hello, constable speaking from Nightvill—”Before the constable could finish, a soft voice, full of fear, spoke from the other end.
“D-D-D-B… DEAD BODY, UNCLE!”
The constable froze in his seat. The cup of coffee in his hand fell to the floor. A cold chill ran down his spine.
“Huh? What?” he asked, not sure what he had just heard.
“He after me too… a deady boby… nails… blood, uncle. HELP ME!”
The little girl’s words made the constable feel sick. Even though he was a trained cop, he bent over and threw up.
While he was vomiting, the head officer, Steven Muttins, came in after hearing the noise.
“Who’s throwing up in here!?” he said.“Pick him up and move him!”
He sat on the chair and noticed the phone was still connected. He picked it up.
“Hello, kid? Are you there?” he asked in a calm voice.
“Mama body dead! Not moving…” she cried.
“Is there anyone with you, dear? Any grown-ups?”
“N-No, uncle… me alone…”
“It’s okay, dear. Don’t panic. Can you tell me where you are and what’s happening?”
Steven looked at one of the constables and told him to track the call. The constable nodded and got to work. Steven continued on the phone.
“Dear, are you okay?”
“Me is okay… but mama not… not fine… not moving… and and red water coming out her lips…”Her voice was full of fear, and she spoke in broken English.
Steven tried to calm the girl down, but she kept crying. Nothing seemed to help.
Soon, the constable returned with the location. It was somewhere on the highway.
“Why didn’t Officer Mica come today?” Steven asked.
“She’s on sick leave for two weeks, sir,” the constable replied.
“Call her and ask her to come. This case is serious, and it involves a child. We need her.”
The constable nodded and made the call.
Steven, his close friend (also an officer), and five constables left for the highway. This highway was known for its strange and creepy feeling. People avoided it at night—and sometimes even during the day.
When they arrived, they saw a car rolled over. A woman’s body was hanging out of it. As they walked closer, the horrible scene became clearer.
The body was covered in blood and deep scratches. Her head was partly open and bleeding. Ten rge nails were stuck in her legs, forehead, and hands. Her clothes were torn, and blood covered her skin. Her flesh was clearly visible. Her eyes were missing. Her fingers and toes were gone. Her head had been chopped into four pieces and thrown a little away from her body.
Everyone was shocked. Some officers even threw up in the corner. It was something not even animals would do. Even they would feel sick seeing this.
The team began checking the crime scene, looking for clues—and for the little girl who had called. But she was nowhere to be seen.
Suddenly, something grabbed one constable’s leg…
A creepy, almost ghost-like voice whispered:
“You came”
