Chapter 27: Teammates Lend a Hand

Chapter 27: Teammates Lend a Hand

In less than half an hour, that Weibo post shot up to the top of the trending chart. Within minutes, it had garnered tens of thousands of reposts, comments, and likes.

Aside from a few mindless trolls, nearly all the responses were shocked but overwhelmingly positive.

Sure enough, in this face-obsessed world, beauty is justice. Ye Xian didn’t need to do anything—this face alone was enough to draw traffic.

Ye Xian was over the moon with joy. Just as she was about to repost the viral Weibo to confirm that the person in the photo really was her, a ding~ sounded. A notification popped up from Weibo Assistant: Your followed celebrity 'FOR-Lin Yan' has reposted a Weibo and tagged you.

She tapped in to look—Lin Yan had beaten her to it. He reposted the viral post without saying much, simply tagging her directly.

Barely two minutes ter, FOR-Cary also reposted the same post, with the caption:“Which little hater made me look this ugly?! (Ye Xian, was this your doing? Smiling like a scheming fox at the camera!)”

With two FOR members reposting the trending Weibo, it was official: the person in the photo really was Ye Xian. The internet exploded.

The #1 trending topic changed from “Is this Ye Xian???” to “THIS is Ye Xian!!!”

Who would've thought—Lin Yan, who always seemed indifferent to her, and Cary, who acted like he couldn't stand her, both turned out to have her back behind the scenes.

From the moment she hit the trending page, Ye Xian’s Weibo followers had been skyrocketing. In just a few hours, she’d gained hundreds of thousands of new fans. Her inbox and mentions were flooded.

Everyone was enthusiastically asking if the person in the photo was really her. “How can someone be this handsome?!”

Ye Xian was deeply moved. It felt like she was even happier now than back when she was a mega-celebrity with tens of millions of fans.

With her sharp instincts as a once wildly popur actress, she realized this beauty-driven viral moment was her first step toward a full-blown comeback. Sure, her looks had earned her attention for now—but that wouldn’t st forever.

As the saying goes, “Good looks are everywhere; a unique soul is one in a million.”

The entertainment industry is full of beautiful faces. What’s rare are stars who are not only attractive but also talented, charismatic, and capable.

To show people her talent and charm, she would need to film dramas and appear on variety shows.

In short—it all came back to the same issue: resources!

She was in desperate need of opportunities to prove herself. Now that she was trending, this was the perfect time—when she had both traffic and buzz. If she didn’t secure resources now, then when?

Ye Xian quickly dialed her agent Jiang Wen’s number.

At that very moment, Jiang Wen was still staring in disbelief at the Weibo trending list, just like the rest of the internet—completely shocked.

That drop-dead gorgeous guy... was his own “gay fanboy” client, Ye Xian?! Amazing…

“Hello? Wen-ge, did you see the trending post?”

  “I-I saw it.”

“Well? It’s 100% organic traffic—no botting, and over a million discussions! That means I can finally get resources, right?”

  “Well… yes, but…”

Hearing him start to hesitate again, Ye Xian got mad. “Wen-ge, are you seriously messing with me again? When I had no traffic, you said you couldn’t get me anything. Now that I do have it, you’re still saying no? Are you afraid I’m too good-looking and will outshine your favorite golden boy, Jiang Wanze, the 'beloved son' of Starlight Entertainment?!”
