I went back to the room, and strangely… I’d already forgotten why I vomited earlier.

The only thing that mattered now was what had changed.

‘F*ing system… it’s like the best hypnosis. I just forgot everything I felt a minute ago. It’s like it never happened because there’s something new to focus on. Alright, let’s see…’

  ‘System, can I create abilities?’

  ---

  > Ding!

The host can get not create and must upgrade [Decompose] in order to decompose corpses.

  ---

‘How much do I need to upgrade [Decompose]?’

  ---

  > Ding!

  The host requires 2,000,000 energy.

  ---

I stared at the message. My stomach twisted.

  I felt hungry… but I didn’t want to eat.

  Thirty minutes passed.

  ‘It’s time to move.’

  ---

First, I dragged the corpse to the window and tossed it out.

Then I adjusted the desk back into position.

The door opposite mine was locked—couldn’t open it.

I turned to the next one. The hallway was weird.

The doors were arranged in a zigzag—mine was on the right, the opposite one on the left, alternating like a chessboard.

I pushed the desk slowly toward the next room. It was open.

  I stepped inside.

  Bathroom door: shut.

  I knocked three times—

  Tup… Tup… Tup…

  Instant growls. Loud banging.

  I grabbed the knob—unlocked.

I dragged a desk in front of it to block the door and shut the main door behind me.

Gripping my axe, I hacked into the bathroom door—just enough to make a hole at eye level.

  The smell hit me hard.

  I gagged—almost puked—but held it in.

‘F*… I just remembered why I vomited earlier… and I just realized I actually forgot about it.’

  I pulled out a crowbar.

  Heavy… but manageable.

  I waited.

The moment its face popped through the hole—

I shoved the crowbar in, aiming for its eye.

  Crack!

  It filed—then colpsed.

  Same as before—

A strange white light floated through the door—

  —Straight into my forehead.

  Exp +1

  ---

‘Wait… System, didn’t you say it was life force? So it’s EXP now because of the adjustment?’

  ---

  > Ding!

  Host is right.

  ---

  ‘Oh sh*t—’

  Eyes wide.

I forgot to take the crowbar out.

  Great.

  I needed another one—fast.

  I peeked through the hole.

Three zombies inside—two male, one female.

  Took a deep breath.

‘Let’s not think about the possibilities of how this happened…’

  I made a new crowbar.

One by one—I finished them off.

Same fsh of white. Same system message.

I opened the door and gagged again.

The stench was even worse now.

I made a towel. Masked up.

Dragged the bodies to the window.

Touching every thing around the room Activated [Decomposition]—

Stripped the room clean: bed, tub, furniture—everything.

  Moved on.

The next room was the one I fought my first zombie came out.

Position the desk front. No threats.

  I kept going—

Seven rooms total. Cleared each one. Killed five more zombies.

  Calling out the spacific panel

Before moving forward, I reinforced the elevator on this right side of the hallway barricading with multiple desk.

Then, I returned to the room next to mine.

Same drill: hole in the door, wait, one clean strike.

The moment the experience hit me—

A strange warmth washed over my body.

Like I’d just woken up after a full week of sleep.
