It was a normal sunny day of the midsummer.

  Frankie was cooking but he looked more focused, alert and anxious. He has worked in this tavern for 2 years. Ronan knows he's a cheerful person that's why he's a bit shocked by the blank expression on his friend's face.

  Ronan : Are you alright man?

  Frankie : Yeah I'm fine

  Ronan : I'll prepare the food you get the ale

  Frankie : Okay

  Ale was kept in the back room of the tavern. Frankie went in the room and closed the door.

  He took out a tiny glass bottle from his pocket

  and poured three drops in the bottle of ale.

  He then walked out of the room and gave that bottle to Ronan.

  Ronan : Hey sam take this food and this bottle and give it to the big guy in the black armour.

  Sam : You mean give it to the "merciless bear"?

  Ronan : Don't worry the food is good, he probably won't kill you.

  Sam : No, please I'm begging you. He killed Erin last week because the food tasted bad.

  Ronan : Give him the food or you're fired.

  Sam whimpered a little but then he stopped and picked up the plate and the bottle of ale and started walking towards a table. On that table sat a brawny brute who was around 7 feet tall. His teeth were black due to regular consumption of tobacco. He was a bald man with a scar on his face. Sam was just a 12 year old boy and he was frightened of the "merciless bear" just like everyone else. With trembling fingers he kept the plate and bottle on the table then he bowed his head and left.

  After 15 minutes Frankie heard someone coughing very loudly and suddenly the people started screaming with fear. He walked out of the kitchen with Ronan and saw the "merciless bear"

  This was the best day of Frankie's life, finally he had taken his revenge yet he didn't feel satisfied at all. He felt agony and sadness in his heart because he was reminded of a horrible night.

  Frankie was having dinner with his twin sister and his father. His father was a famous knight just like the "merciless bear". His father was known as "the bolt of lightning". His real name was Baron. He was the fastest knight in the whole kingdom. Frankie's family was very rich because his father was the right hand of the king and he was the leader of the nine shadows. The nine shadows were King's personal bodyguards. Ivan was a servant boy who worked in Frankie's house and he used to live with the family. Frankie's sister's name was Eva. His mother had died on the birthing bed.

  Frankie : You promised you would teach me.

  Baron : The king had to give a speech in front of the commoners. So, he needed me today. You know son duty comes first but i promise you i will teach you swordsmanship tomorrow.

  Frankie : You're never home. You never spend time with us. Do you even love us?

  Suddenly a gaurd rushed into the dinning hall.

  Soldier: Forgive me for the intrusion royal commander. There are riders incoming.

  Baron : How many? What flags are they carrying?

  Soldier : Around 200 riders. They are carrying black coloured flags with vultures on them.

  Baron: That's the flag of the rebellions. We only have 25 gaurds. Here take this bag of gold and escape with my children through the secret tunnel.

  Soldier: As you command royal commander.

  Baron walks out of the house and starts giving commands to his 24 gaurds but the rebels had already breached in. The 24 gaurds ignored Baron's commands and made a circular formation around Baron in order to save him.

  They were surrounded by 200 armoured men with sheilds and spears. The leader of the rebels was a young man around 7 feet tall. He took 20 rebels with him and charged into the house. Frankie and Eva knew where the secret tunnel was but it was too late. They were hiding in empty barrels of wine.

  The skilled soldier who was given the task to protect them charged at the 20 soldiers.

  A 7 foot tall man entered the room. He started looking for both the children.

  He opened the wardrobe and pulled Ivan out.

  He swinged his sword and chopped Ivan's head off. He looked under the bed, behind the curtains

  and then he started walking towards the barrels. He opened a barrel, grabbed Eva's hair and lifted her up. Eva was crying and screaming in terror.

  The man laughed and then beheaded her. Then he left the room.

  Frankie was terrified, he promised himself that he will never forget that person's face and he will take revenge.

  All the young 24 soldiers and Baron were massacred and their cold dead bodies were lying outside the house. Only 100 rebels remained out of 200.

  "The merciless bear" their 7 foot tall leader ordered the rebels to burn the house down. Frankie jumped out of the barrel and ran towards the secret tunnel. After an hour of constant running he made it out of the tunnel. He saw a city filled with filth and strangers.
