64: Felinu Broken

Right now, this chunk of chaos space is dead silent. Everyone’s freaked out by Oliver’s brutality.

Three giants came in hot, stupidly strong, ready to gang up on Oliver. And the result? Two dead on the spot, one chased and hacked to near collapse, fleeing in a pathetic mess. Now, no deity’s got any doubts about this giant snake’s power.

“Anyone else wanna challenge me? Step up.”

Oliver holds his bloodlight greatsword in front, saying calmly.

His words land, and under his commanding gaze, countless deities lower their heads, not daring to breathe too loud. Even those still hyping the giant clan’s strength don’t dare say a word—after all, the giant clan’s far off in who-knows-what Basin.

But this snake right here? One breath, and all these deities would drop like flies!

Still, in this quiet, a voice nobody expected pipes up.

“Hahaha, Aegir, my dear pal, your dog’s here, meow! Where’s that damn snake? Watch me smack it dead with one paw!”

A dog-headed, human-bodied deity zooms in from the distance, oozing arrogance. This guy’s another of Aegir’s buddies, set to team up with the three giants to take out Oliver.

The three giants didn’t jump into action right away when they got here—partly to scope out Oliver’s strength, but maybe also ‘cause they were waiting for this dog-headed deity.

Oliver glances at this guy’s panel and gets it—another one here to die? But this guy’s kinda interesting. He’s got a dog head, so why’s he meowing like a cat?

The late-arriving Felinu quickly senses something’s off. Why are all these deities looking at him so weirdly… like he’s a dead man, a corpse?

“Huh? Where’re the three giants? Where’s Aegir? What’s with these jerks? Weren’t we all set to take down this snake today? Did those guys show up even later than me, meow?”

Felinu’s totally lost, clueless about what went down.

“Meow, you bunch of jerks, what’s with those looks? Don’t you know how savage I am? Believe it or not, I’ll chomp you all down in one bite, meow!”

Seeing those pitying stares, Felinu’s pissed, lungs practically exploding. Why’s everyone looking at him like he’s about to die?

He unleashes a wild deity aura, like he’s telling the others not to underestimate him. But it’s no use—the deities’ looks just get more pitying, like they’re staring at a fool.

“Oh, you’re looking for them? They’re already dead.”

Right then, Oliver speaks up, his massive slit pupils calmly locking onto Felinu, instantly pinning down his aura.

  “What? Dead?”

Felinu jumps, spooked. It hits him, and he starts trembling all over.

“You… three giants ganged up on you, and you killed them all? No way!”

He still can’t believe it, but the weird looks from the deities around him seem to scream it’s true.

Plus, Felinu’s soul power is pretty strong—higher than giants like Aegir. So he quickly picks up on the terrifying domain blanketing this place.

  “This is… could it be…”

The more Felinu thinks, the more freaked out he gets. If three giants got taken out by this snake…

Then right now, he’s… Felinu shudders, chills running through him. The snake looks untouched, but the three giants are dead? Just how strong is this guy?

“Haha, I was just kidding earlier, meow. I’ve got some stuff to do, so I’ll head out, meow!”

Felinu’s eyes dart, and he tries to bolt.

  Boom!

Before Felinu can move, Oliver strikes, activating his Creation Domain. In an instant, Felinu’s whole body’s locked in place, unable to budge!

“Ah, big snake Stark, what’d you do to me? It’s a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding! Don’t kill me!”

Felinu screams in panic. He feels like the world’s ditched him, his once-raging powers nerfed to a fraction of what they were.

Right now, he truly believes it—with this creepy power, those three giants probably weren’t this snake’s match!

“Damn idiot giants, screwing me over!”

He’s seething with resentment toward the giants, cursing them in his head, scared out of his mind.

This snake’s way too strong—how’s he got such a terrifying ability?

“Big snake Stark, spare me! I messed up, really messed up. I shouldn’t have listened to those dirty giants’ goading to come kill you. I haven’t even made a move! I know I’m wrong now, I’ll never do it again, waaah, meow!”

He begs pathetically. Then, something shocking happens. This dog-headed humanoid kneels, his body morphing. In a blink, his human form’s gone, replaced by a freakish cat-bodied, dog-headed thing.

As a cat-bodied dog-head, he bows like he’s pleading, front paws waving at Oliver, kowtowing!

“Kinda interesting… Wanna live? Fine… but you’ve gotta be my slave. No way I’m sparing someone who came to kill me otherwise.”

  Oliver says flat-out.

  “…Be a slave…”

Felinu’s face twists, clearly not thrilled, but the next second, he thinks of his situation, lets out a “meow,” and grudgingly agrees.

Seeing this, Oliver sends his soul power into Felinu’s mind, syncing with his soul to seal a master-servant contract!

“Thank you, Master, for not killing me! From now on, I’ll be totally loyal to you, never betraying you!”

  Felinu hurries to say.

Oliver nods, lifting the lockdown on him. Feeling his powers flow back, Felinu breathes a sigh of relief, but his resentment toward those damn giants burns even hotter.

“Damn Aegir! If it wasn’t for you, jerk, dragging me into chasing some snake with promises of big rewards, I wouldn’t be someone’s slave now, waaah!”

The surrounding deities, seeing this level 17 powerhouse become Oliver’s slave, are floored.

Felinu’s a big name in nearby Basins, famous for his strength and quirky look. He was super popular with some wild deities. But now? This strong, high-profile guy’s just another of the snake’s minions.

And get this—the snake’s only level 16, a level below Felinu!
