Update ONE

  [START]

You know now that I look back the animated series of RWBY was a wild ride. It was this action-packed 3D American anime that was one of the firsts for its time. It set a tone for what internet-based web-series could become.

Not to disregard that it was coming off the heels from the succession of Rooster’s Teeth Red VS Blue series that already was breaking into modern media. The fact that this low budget Machinima cartoon with Halo avatar grew to such heights that they were featured in the actual Halo Series and dispyed in regional stores and Game Stops is insane.

Though I say that, RWBY as a series unfortunately fell ft. Not only due to internal issues with Rooster Teeth’s management of production and animators, but also due to external factors of fans and reviews. And when I mention external conflicts, I truly do mean that online controversies where a main declining factor to the status of RWBY’s production and the trust in credibility that its staff had in handling the show.

I remember I once put my thoughts in paper describing the overall status of RWBY as a series, as crude and as demoralizing as I could I stated that RWBY was a “shit show” and was in need of a rewrite.

Of course, as time passed, I realized the arrogance and downright ego of passing judgement on the series at the time. Regardless of my stance as a longtime fan, the complex nature of writing, serializing, and profiting fromr an Animated American show as a pioneer in the industry is a feat that not many could or would cim of being possible of completing.

But this does make me want to revisit some of my pass notes and review what baseline settings and references RWBY could’ve taken in the running of its series.

The world of Remnant with its Hunters and Huntresses is a remarkable world drafted that I can’t help but mystify and theorized over concepts not fully explored or background elements I would have loved to be delved into more.

  ____________________________________________________________________________________

If I had to say the most frustrating thing about RWBY, it would have to be that the foundation for the way they want to take the show is somewhat absent. I would go as far to say that there is no Justification in the show. By justification I mean that most thing aren’t either earned in the story or established within the overall narrative.

My goal here is to justify my writings and thoughts. More so to add subtle elements that justify RWBY’s current narrative without changing major plots and events that would derail the source. This ‘rewrite’ if you even want to call it that, is more so my personal ideas and thoughts on elements RWBY presented throughout the show. Because in all honesty RWBY’s story and progression so far is amazing. One could argue its merely told in a way that doesn’t highlight its features; not poorly but rather shortcoming.

To justify things, I’ll focus on a few key points I found cking int he series:

Magic AuraSembncesCharacters Retionships Power Scaling Status VilinsShadows Now all these key points won’t be addressed in order, but by importance to how I justify RWBY’s story.
