She jolts awake and starts running with her tiny ant legs toward the forming portal, swirling in golden and purple spirals.
The sand portal opens...

The portal closes behind her.
On the other side, Laien finds herself in a dark… strange room…
Shapes of ant faces appear on the walls like shadows. She gulps.

The monster appears: a shadowy ant, larger than any Laien has ever seen, with black eyes and a dark magical aura swirling around it.

Laien is caught off guard but barely manages to dodge.

The monster snarls and tries to strike her…
But the new ant dodges and blocks with perfect timing!

Her tiny sword sparkles, flies back to her, and lands in her lap.
She gets up with difficulty.
The new ant still holds the monster back with her defensive magic…
But as she looks at Laien… she hesitates.
The monster takes the chance and strikes with a brutal physical charge!
She’s slammed into the wall, coughing blood.
— N-no…
Laien watches in shock.
Something pulses in her little ant heart.
With surprising speed, she dashes forward with sword in hand!
A flash of purple…
And then—!
SFX: SHLAK!
She pierces the monster through the chest.
It coughs blood… and dies.

The new ant collapses, still wounded, but smiling.
— Th-thank you…
Laien runs to her, worried.
— Are you okay?
— Y-yeah...

A purple box appears, opens...
And from within emerges a green Healing Potion.
The new ant stares at the item, trembling and confused.
— W-what… is that…?
Without hesitation, Laien gently opens her mouth and pours the potion in.
She swallows. A green aura envelops her, rapidly healing her wounds.
— Th-this is… amazing...
She stands up with a soft smile.
Laien blushes.
She doesn’t know why… but her little ant heart races.
The new ant, emotional, hugs Laien warmly.
— Thank you...
Laien, surprised, hugs her back.
— I’m… Laien. Nice to meet you.
— Laien? A female? I’m… Lina.
Laien smiles.
— Lina? Nice to meet you…
Lina stares at her for a moment, thinking:
“I thought she was a male…”
Laien looks at her, confused, but grabs her sword.
The sand portal shines again.
Lina looks at it, determined.
— Let’s go, Laien!
She jumps straight into the portal.
— Huh?! Wait! Linaaa!!
Laien runs and jumps in after her.
Before the portal closes, a monstrous roar echoes from the two doors left behind…
But it’s already too late.
The two ants land right… inside Laien’s little sand house.
Lina looks around, surprised.
— This is your house?
— Y-yeah… if it’s messy… don’t mind it… we’re ants, right?
Lina smiles.
Without a word, she lies down on Laien’s bed.
Laien stares at her, puzzled.
But lets her sword fall and lies beside her…
Tired… sleepy…
Lina blushes deeply.
But closes her eyes.
And so…
The two fall asleep together… in the peace of the sand.
