Chapter 7.5: The Architecture of the Void

[Section I: Vocabury of the Deep]

The Overp (Human World vs. World of Gods): Reality is a dual-yered fabric. The Human World is the surface—tangible, linear, and mostly blind. The World of Gods occupies the "Deep Space" of the same coordinates. They exist in the same room but at a different frequency. In the God World, concepts like distance, timelines, and verses are fluid; a god can walk across a city in a single step or witness a century in a heartbeat because they are not bound by the "3D" constraints of humanity.

The Law of Retention: Memory is the currency of the soul.

In Heaven: Souls are stripped of their "Why" and their earthly ties to ensure eternal peace. To be in Heaven is to forget the pain of who you were.

In Hell: The Law enforces total retention. You are forced to remember every sin, every face, and every second of your life with perfect, agonizing crity.

The Hollows (The Waste): This is the "Dead Zone" between the two. When a soul like Leo is marked as "Waste," it means the Machine found no sin worth punishing and no peace worth rewarding. He is a glitch—a soul that has begun to forget everything, not just his "Why," but his very existence.

[Section II: Character Encyclopedia — The Lost]

Leo [The Residual Image]: Because he was shunted to the Hollows, Leo is currently "Status: Null." He is in the process of becoming a bnk ste. Unlike a soul in Heaven who is happy in their ignorance, or a soul in Hell who is drowning in memory, Leo is simply a hollow shell. If Zany hadn't arrived, Leo would have eventually dissolved into pure energy to power the Hall's lights.

The Scribes [The Chroniclers of the Mundane]: These are the entities tasked with monitoring the "Overp." They watch the human world from the God World, recording the lives of mortals. They are terrified of Zany because a Mediator can step between both yers of reality without a permit, disrupting their "Recording."

  [Section III: Artifacts of Authority]

The Obsidian Key [The Manual Override]: The key Hades uses in Chapter 7. It is one of the few objects that can bridge the gap between the God World and the Human World’s reincarnation cycle. Using it is a "Physical Sin"—it forces a soul that the universe has already rejected (Waste) back into the living stream.

The Mediator's "Data Toll": Every time Zany uses his power to affect the God World while standing in the Underworld, he pays with his own "Was." By forgetting his stepmother's name, he provided the "Code" necessary to overwrite the Law's decision on Leo.

  [Section IV: Dimensional Logic]

Non-Linear Space: In the World of Gods, a "cell" in the Hollows isn't just a room. It is a localized point in a dimension where time has stopped. When Zany "folded the distance," he wasn't just moving through space; he was dragging two different dimensions together until they touched. This is why the floor turned to liquid—it was reacting to the friction of two different realities rubbing against each other.
