Hey Diary,
After a day and a half of trying to figure things out, I don't feel like I’m crazy any more. I adjusted what could be adjusted, turned off a bunch of things, and my magic level is now manageable.
It’s still super strong, don't get me wrong, but it’s not… a separate entity. Maybe it’s just cuz it’s been a day and a half, and I’ve gotten used to it, but it feels like it’s mine again. Instead of me belonging to it somehow.
It’s almost lunchtime, and ten minutes ago there was an earthquake. I reached out to the stables and told the horses it was ok, they should just lie down and stay calm, and it worked! I could feel them calm down. Then it was over, I ended the spell, and they were all ok!
I mean, they probably would have been ok anyways, but they don't know that.
So yeah, when we get out of the city I can start really testing things. I don't want to do too much testing here, because there are people around. I might try to target all the animals, and accidentally target a baby or something. I know the difference in their minds, but I’m not sure my magic does. It’s… complicated.
Maki says we’ll be here four more days, then head out east towards the ocean.
Apparently when the person who decides where to send people was trying to see where to send us, he got a divine message saying we had to go east. So that made things easy for him. We don't need to take any more reports anywhere, since everyone pretty much knows the earthquakes are a thing, so for the first part we’ll just be taking mail and lists of recommended precautions to the towns along our route.

I wonder if we’ll be able to take mail into Raddish. Visiting a different country would be pretty cool. Echo is from another country, maybe someday we’ll be able to go see where she grew up.
I wonder why she left. She didn't want to talk about that, but there must have been a good reason. Sure, I left home cuz I felt bored and trapped, but I went with my cousins. I don't think I would have ever been brave enough to leave on my own.
Well, she’s a part of our travel group now, so I bet over the next month I’ll get to know her super well. I might not learn all her secrets, but that’s ok. As long as we end up friends, I’ll be happy.
Signing off,

Bonnie slowly munched on a handful of popcorn.
Cali had used her first spell, and she wasn't evil yet.
That was good.
On the not-good screen, Bonnie watched Athena send out dozens of spies and letters, trying to find Echo. She’d spent quite a while screaming at the sky, demanding an audience with Bonnie, and when it hadn't worked she’d switched to mundane methods.
On the geological screen, there was a little over a month left before the continent split. Earthquakes were becoming stronger, but not more frequent yet. Using a scale from her old world, the strongest so far had been 4.6. Certainly noticeable, but it wouldn't cause any damage.
And on her piety screen, kobolds were praying to her more regularly. They preferred to live or at least work underground, so they saw the possible danger more than any other species.
Bonnie focused on one young kobold from Owonyan, near the border of Bestest. One more Chosen couldn't hurt…
