Dear Risa,
We are now on our way to Innsnose, dropping off mail as we go.
Aaaaand I called it! Maki and Echo are A Thing now! Which is good, because I was about to hit my brother over the head and tell him to admit he likes the girl. By the time you read this you’ll have met her, so I’m sure you’ll see just how perfect she is for him.
Although there is something… off. You know how I said that when she first joined us, she was fine flirting, but Maki was reserved due to previous psycho girlfriend issues? Well, that’s switched. Maki is completely in love, and Echo is now worried about something. I don't know what. I’ll have to ask her at some point when we’re alone.
But hey, at least they’re in agreement about being in love. Now I get to tease them about it!
In other news, earthquakes are getting stronger. When we drop off mail, people are asking if we’ve got word about how strong and frequent these things are going to get. All we can say is that they’re going to get very strong, and probably super frequent. I asked the Goddess about it, and she said a group in Raddish is coming up with a scale and numbering system. As soon as they have it all figured out, she’ll give the system and measuring thingy to churches, and more information will be available there.

Luke absolutely hates that our official answer to those questions is “trust in the Goddess, and the answer will be revealed in time”, but, well, that’s what she told us to say.
I can’t help but feel like it’s a very good thing he was chosen to represent her. Because otherwise some of the things he says might get him exiled or something.
Oh, Cali is very distracted this week. She keeps looking off into the distance and forgetting what she’s saying. Which is mildly alarming. I asked her what’s up, and she said there's a lot of fights going on.
We’re currently in the middle of absolutely nowhere. I assume she means there’s animals fighting, what with her being a Beastmaster. I don't see any animals in our general vicinity other than the horses, so I wonder where the fights are.
And yeah, tonight we’re sleeping on the side of the road. The last town we passed was like an hour ago, and according to the map, the next one is another hour and a half away.
Now that we have proper camping stuff, I really kinda like sleeping on the side of the road. We all have our jobs and places to sleep, and it’s nice and comfy.
I will say: if you ever go camping, it’s very handy to have at least one person with fire magic and one person with water magic in the group. Sure, there are runestones and whatnot that can start campfires and make water for washing dishes, but then you’d have to argue about whose job it is. In our group, we all know it’s Luke’s job to wash the dishes because he makes the water.
So yeah, we’ve got it all figured out. We are Professional Travelers.
Professional Regards,
Maeve Zee
