  When they took Rune to be appraised, I gripped her hand firmly. Realising my worry, she said to me.

  "It's okay. I will be fine. If something ever happens, I will surely run away. We beast people have good agility, you know."(Rune)

  I knew that she was lying because she was surrounded by the black mist. I hate liars - I hate them so much. But Rune lied for me, because she didn't want to make me worried. This is the first time someone lied for my sake. I hate liars, but I didn't hate Rune's lie.

  That's why I made an [Evig Contract] with her. I already planned to make this contract with her to track her down in case she tried to run away from me, but because of sudden circumstance, I created the contract without any preparation.

  Without the preparation, the contract would turn into a curse for the demon contractor.

  This is the reason why demons don't make [Evig Contract] anymore. When you fail, you die. When your preparation is lacking, you will be cursed.

  I don't mind having the curse if it bounds me with Rune forever. If she dies, then I die. To die together, nothing would make me happier than that.

  As my magical bracelet was deactivated, I could feel my mana flowing in my body and my regeneration getting faster. It wouldn't be long until I fully recover.

  I could feel someone is choking Rune as I got choked myself.

  Who? Who dares to hurt her? I won't forgive them.

  After I make sure Rune's condition is fine, I blow up the steel door. I want to go and get Rune back, but those people stand in my way, trying to fight back. So annoying... that I blow them up. Allan's face goes pale when he sees me blowing everything up but I pretend not to see him. I walk to finish every hindrance in my way.

  "Who is it? The person who choked my Rune?"(Kiel)

  I asked every person I passed before I blew them up. After I killed and crushed few of them, someone answered my question.

  "B-boss, boss is the one who choke that beast girl"(slave trader)

  So after I finish cleaning every hindrance in my way, I walk toward their boss's room. The moment I open the door, some of those lowlifes delivered a surprise attack. Are they joking? This kind of attack won't hurt me. Compared to those wyverns I hunted, their attack is like a rain drop to me.

  It won't take long before I crush every single of them. The person who keeps giving order and stand far behind the others must be the boss they're talking about. I will make sure he suffers. I torture him in the same way they tortured me. But then, Rune becomes angry at me. I don't understand why she's angry.

  "I know that they do bad things to you and I hate them for that. But you are not alone anymore. You have me and maybe Allan....and I dislike you for doing something like this."(Rune)

  Rune dislike me? Does that mean she hate me?

  My hands grow cold and my body is shaking. I could feel my eyes going teary suddenly. I don't understand why, but the thought of Rune hating me is frightening. I don't want her to hate me. Should I freeze her now? T-that way she won't say she hates me, and she won't angry with me...

  Then, she explain to me that I act like savage by destroying my surrounding. I could hurt those around me and myself. I don't mind getting hurt, so I don't understand.

  She suddenly takes my hand... her hands are very soft and warm.

  "Kiel, do you hate me?"(Rune)

  She asked in gentle voice.

  "..........no"(Kiel)

  "If I were hurt, would you hate it?"(Rune)

  "!?....I.....I-...."(Kiel)

  'If Rune hurt', thinking about it sent an unpleasant feeling to me and I hate that feeling. I will freeze her if she runs away from me, but as long she stay by me, I want to protect her.

  "Yes, I would hate it. If I can, I don't want to hurt you"(Kiel)

  "But you destroyed this building and I could get hurt because of that. Look at those holes you made. I could accidentally fall and die."(Rune)

  "!?"(Kiel)

  As long Rune choose to stay with me, I will protect her. Yet, I almost kill her because of my actions. Now I understand why I can't go rampage as I please. But, does Rune still hate me? If I'm not fighting, will she stay with me? Will she stay with me forever?

  "Then, you will stay with me if I ask your permission to fight, right?"(Kiel)

  "Um.... you do not exactly need permission from me or anything, but yes, something like that."(Rune)

  "You'll be with me?"(Kiel)

  "Ah, yeah, I will be with you."(Rune)

  "Forever?"(Kiel)

  "...yes?"(Rune)

  There are no lies in every word. She will stay with me forever. I could feel a weight lift from my chest. I'm unspeakably happy.

  "Then, I won't act like this anymore"(Kiel)

  I said as I hug her. If I'm with Rune, I will always be happy. Rune is adorable. Even her angry face is adorable, but I like her smile the most.

  That night, I'm carrying her while flying along with other bird like people, they're Allan's friends and since Rune trusts Allan, then I will trust him too. On our way, Rune keeps hiding her face behind her hands. I could see her cheeks dyed in red. Is she embarrassed? Rune is just as cute as always.

  Rune will forever be with me and when she dies, I will die with her. Just thinking about it makes me smile.
