Chapter 13 Lava ruin tournament round 1 part 1

Willow looked over her opponents, the ants were an ice blue color. For the life of her Willow

did not understand the star part in their name. Willow dashed forward, while crouching, her

knife in her hand. As Willow got closer to one of the ants, she slide under it. Willow lifted

the knife, and attempted to thrust it into the ants abdomen. The area around the ants legs

started to fade into a more pale color, and as it did Willow felt the temperature beneath

her grow colder. There was now ice under Willow, which appeared to be in the form of

a surfboard. The ant kick the ice under its feet behind itself. The ice and Willow went

Sliding quickly towards one of the lava pools, that were surrounding the stadium.

Willow jumped off the board, just barely in time. “That was close.” Willow told herself.

It was time for a different approach. Willow covered her hand in shadow flame, and

crouched down like before. Dashing forward, this time Willow attacked the feet with

her shadow flame. “So far so good.” Willow’s word holding a tone of optimism.

While the ant’s foot was on fire Willow attacked its neck with her knife. “I did

it I one my first round.” Willow was starting to gloat, but then she clued in.

(Wait x 5, where are the other ants.)

Just after Willow finished that train of thought, she felt the ground under her feet start

to shake. Holes frosted over at the edges, started to appear. Willow was in the center

of these holes. All the frost star ants poked their heads out out once. Instead of the

air getting colder like before, the temperature started to rise rapidly. Willow felt the

air growing denser, and then the blinding light. Willow could see her Life force and

hp falling quickly. Her aura was now zero, this was partly from her use of shadow

flame earlier. Just as she thought she was about to lose, Raid stepped out of her

shadow and dragged her to safety.

Now that Willow was out of harms way, Raid would hold off the frost star ants, until

Willow recovered enough health. Raid had watched Willow preform her shadow flame

magic a lot, and could now use shadow magic himself. Raid created a shadow spike

barrier. This barrier prevented any of the frost star ants from getting out.

Willow looked at the scene unfolded in front of her. (When did Raid learn shadow magic?)

Aside from that thought another one was crossing her mind, which related to the ants

attack that hit her. (That was not any of the known elemental magic. Does that mean

there are more, or maybe that more could be created.) Willow breathed in deep slow

Breaths to help her recover more quickly. (Now how am I going to defend against that

  attack.)

Raid was doing well. Whenever the ants would attack using the star element, as he

understood it. Raid would hide in his shadows. Raid bit down on their front legs.

This slowed them down, but doing so allowed them to counter slightly with their

ice on their feet. The first time Raid was shocked by the tactic, but now he had

started to form a slight tolerance to their attack. Raid could feel his shadow

  barrier starting to fade.

Willow could see that Raid’s barrier would not hold much longer, but her health

was now fully recovered. Willow placed her knife in her mouth and bit down hard.

Willow was now at the barrier, it dropped. “Raid over her quickly!” Willow shouted.

Raid moved as fast as he could to Willow’s direction.

Once Raid was close enough to her, Willow jumped onto his back. Raid felt discomfort,

but he trusted her. “Okay Raid, head to the lava pool over their.” Raid followed Willow’s

Directions. Once at the lava pool Willow stuck the tip of her knife into it. “Raid, head

back to the ants as fast as you can. Listening to Willow Raid swiftly dashed to the colony

of ants. Willow flung the lava from the knife onto the antennas of each ant. Now the ants

would not be able to find her.

“Good job Raid.” Raid chattered his teeth to the complement. The ants started to fire

off spheres of stars in front of themselves, this only ended in them hitting one another.

The ants started to panic, and froze one another solid. This was Willow and Raid’s

chance to finish them off. Raid bit their center, as Willow used her knife to detach

their heads. “And the winner of this round is Willow Birth.” Willow heard their host

  announce to all the spectators.

Wave assess the area and the thunder bees in the sky. “Well, when will they make their

move?” Wave’s question is being asked to nothing but the air surrounding himself.

A stinger on one of the bees seems to glowing at its end. Wave can now see the stinger

being washed in that glow, that was forming at the tip. The stinger is now released

from the bee’s body. The stinger is about to hit Wave so he leaps back to avoid it,

only to find out that it is following him. What Wave has yet to find out is that

the stinger is attracted to his magical energy signature, the one known as

basic and advance lightning. Wave is basically a lightning rod.

As the stinger gets closer to Wave, the glow surrounding the stinger grows brighter

and brighter. The hair on Wave’s arms start to stand up straight, as well as some

of the hair on his head. Wave can hear a low humming sound, like the sound

you may sometimes hear from a fridge. When Wave is about to sidestep the

stinger, it lets out a discharge of electrical energy. Wave is sent flying the

opposite way of where he had tried to sidestep. Wave ends up hitting into

the wall of the stadium, and it is just by luck that he did not fall into the lava pool,

which is inches in front of him.

Wave glances over his stats, his health has been cut by a third. Thinking to himself.

(That was likely a warning shot.) Wave looks to see where all the bees are. “Okay,

so their is a small delay before they release those stingers of theirs.” Wave is talking

to himself trying to figure out what he can do next.

The bees start to fly in a circle, kind of like how birds of prey do before attacking.

Three of the bees stingers begin to glow at the tip, all at once. Wave feels the ground

beneath himself, the heat from the lava has made the sand into mud. Wave stands

perfectly still and lets the stingers come towards him. Once the stingers are close

enough to discharge, Wave digs his feet deep into the mud. The mud grounds

Wave, so that the electric shock wave does minimal damage.

In the distance Wave notices that the wall he had hit earlier, had sent a piece

of the wooden railing, which the spectators normally lean on flying, and

was now in the center of the arena. Wave went to the piece of wood, taking

out his iron bear claws, Wave started to use them to carve the wood into a

  boomerang.

Wave switches from the iron bear claws to his wooden boomerang.

Taking the wooden boomerang into his hand Wave moves his arm forwards, getting a feeling

for both the weight of the boomerang, and the angle he wants to throw it. On Wave’s first

attempt he manages get it at the right angle, but he did not throw it with enough force, this

meant that the boomerang did not go high enough to hit any of the bees. Wave did end up

throwing the boomerang the proper way, so it did end up returning to him, although his

catching could use a little more work. Wave looked at the cuts and scratches on his

hands, which were caused by barley catching his new boomerang.

“Now with a little more force, I should be able to hit the bees.” Wave’s word were

like an affirmation, although there was also a sense of egotistical pride in them.

Lifting the boomerang once more, Wave tosses it with more force, hitting one of

the bees and knocking to the ground. Wave takes this chance and repeatedly uses

basic kick, while rotting, not just between feet, but also his whole body. This is

his first victory against the thunder bees.

Wave takes out his new boomerang once more, throwing it into the air, he hopes

to hit three of the bees at once. Wave did not notice however that the bees were

on the verge of releasing a skill of their own. All three stingers now lit up, and

lightning was cast from the tips. The lightning created pressure, which caused

the boomerang to go off course and land onto the ground. As Wave ran to retrieve

the boomerang, he dug his feet into the ground, this was due to the fact that he

was getting ever closer to the lightning.

Upon picking up the boomerang, Wave decided to try out the skill he unlocked for it throwing the boomerang way above the bees, it unleashed a current of air underneath,

which was like the force of gravity, leaving the three bees temporally stunned.

Wave attacked two of the bees with basic kick rotation volley. On the second bee

Wave realized that he could not only kick in a circle, but also at different heights,

  and angels as well.

Wave was deep in thought as he headed towards the last bee, of the three.

(Why are they called thunder bees, and not lightning bees.) It was almost like

the bee had read his thoughts. The bee turned its head towards Wave, then

made a loud clicking sound, followed by a loud crashing sound. Wave was

sent flying backwards. While still in mid air, Wave quickly throw his

boomerang just a little distance behind himself. Once under the boomerang,

Wave unleashed the Air pressure skill. This both stopped him from going

any farther backwards, but it also made him hit the ground with a bit of force,

mind you, it did not do as much damage as he was going to take.

The bees that were left, regrouped, and were now in a mad furry. The thunder

bees started to fly rapidly in a circle, while charging up their lightning stinger

attack, but this was not all they were doing. Wave could hear the clicking sound

he had heard before in the distance. A chill started to run down Wave’s spine.

As the bees circled one another, the vibrations from their sonic boom started

to shake the earth below. The bees sonic boom did not cause any problems

for the bees themselves, this was due to the fact that their bodies were made

to resist vibrations. The temperature started to lower as the sonic boom, and

the lightning from the thunder bees stingers collide. What the bees had down

was create a thunder cloud, which was approaching Wave with a swift pace.

Wave felt a could droplet of water fall on his head. (What the, why would their

be water in an underground lava cavern?) Wave pondered. Just then Wave was

drenched in a downpour of water. Looking above Wave saw where the water had

originated from. “Well that is just great! Wait, it is not just water!” Wave shouted

to himself. Wave could see the cloud, which now had a yellow tint. Wave once

more dug into the ground, but this time he knew he would be taking damage.

Wave could feel the water his was soaked in drawing the electrical current to him.

Wave’s health was now getting to critical levels. Wave tossed the boomerang into

the clouds, he then used the air pressure skill to break apart the thunder cloud.

Wave then used the same skill again, but this time he used it to create a wall

of air between himself and the bees. Wave needed to come up with a plan

and the faster the better. Knowing he could not keep up the air wall forever,

Wave charged towards the bees. Wave could see small pieces of wood on the

ground from when he carved the boomerang. Taking out the iron bear claws

once more Wave reached for the nine small pieces of wood. Wave quickly

started to carve each of them into a cylinder shape, but then him made sharp

  points at the end.

Wave took his new darts into his hands.

Wave throw the darts at the thunder bees, three per bee.

Now that all three bee had three wooden darts in them, Wave used the

dart shatter skill. All at once the bees fell to the ground, and died soon

after. Wave could hear the announcer’s loud voice. “And the winner

of this match is Wave Droplet.
