Chapter 60

In the Divine Plane, Lawrence steps out of his residence like any other day. The unusual thing is that he rarely leaves home after finishing his work. Perhaps going out to eat or drink at a bar would be the exceptions to the rule.

That his level has increased since his registration at the Unquenchable Fire Brothel suggests he has been hunting demonic beasts, though they have not witnessed it since they began monitoring him. Is today the day?

One man looks to another and says: “Tsk, he’s heading to a portal. Prepare the money to follow him.”

Lawrence goes through the portal, and seconds later, so do they.

  Then the problem arises.

  “Where is he?!”

There are many suspicious people, all concealing their identities. Reluctantly, they separate and follow each of them. Being pursued is not something anyone desires, so they all perform evasive maneuvers to lose sight of their pursuers.

Perhaps one of them was Lawrence, but it's too late now.

Only one was caught. It wasn’t him.

  White Utopia City.

Lawrence looks in all directions, after having traveled extensively and teleported through two different cities, he’s sure he lost his followers.

He heads to the main street and after a few detours, opens a door and enters.

  “You can come out.”

After creating a Dimensional Rift, three beautiful women emerge from it the next second. Serene Will, Sky Petal, and Coldness Divine. It is the latter who had the greatest reaction upon observing the landscape through the windows, this is the Divine Plane, the place where everything will begin anew.

“Sky Petal, take care of them. One is getting used to this plane and the other feels nothing has changed.”

  “Haha, I’ll try.”

Somewhat awkwardly, Sky Petal accepts the responsibility.

He looks at the others and says: “From a week from now, make sure to be home by this hour. I can’t guarantee it’ll be exactly seven days. Until then, goodbye.”

Though he’d like to see the conflicts between wife one and three, he can’t risk staying with them. He’s already taking a risk just by bringing them here, while White Utopia City is the safest and most righteous, it would be different if he himself draws attention to this place.

Lawrence leaves the house, concealing his identity with a hood. After walking a few seconds, he stops and looks back with a smile.

“Will Coldness Divine suffer withdrawal once she’s apart from me?”

It happened with Serene Will, and the probability that the same will happen with her is not small. His training to tame these women was exhaustive, they may not want to accept it, but they need him to keep their lustful bodies in check.

“Ha! What a pity I won’t be there to see it.”

He again conceals his face and continues moving away. White Utopia City is one of the most prosperous level 500 cities, the beauty of its streets and architecture is unmatched, they won’t lack entertainment here.

Lawrence regrets that he himself can’t live here. He’s slowly getting tired of the meat and alcohol offered in Agares City, if not for his job, he would leave there.

After crossing a portal, he appears in a city he has never set foot in all his life. Heaven’s Fortress City, the capital of the Heavenly Path Kingdom.

The capital is a floating island the size of a country. The three major sects, Lunar Cascade Sect, Sacred Rock Sect, and Eternal Wind Sect, have their roots in this city, this is the main branch of all their branches located in different cities.

To have a good life in this place, a level 700 is required, here, any dog and cat possesses that level. Of course, this is only considering the interior of the city, outside, demonic beasts run rampant with their high levels.

From level 650 to 800, that's the threat posed by the demonic beasts.

Everywhere he looks, the city is beautiful. White Utopia City is nothing in comparison, but still, Lawrence does not feel comfortable. All the passersby have higher levels than him, he fears that brushing shoulders with someone could cost him his little life.

From his storage ring, he takes out a map with a special mark on it.

  “Violet Twilight Auction House…”

It has been days since the fertility pill has been in his hands, he prepared each of his moves in the capital with the sole purpose of auctioning it.

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.

If he does not secure a good position in the auction today, his pill will sell like third-rate beans! With luck, he will recover what he invested in its refinement! This would be the worst outcome, reluctantly he would have to settle for selling the Mediterranean Sap herb if no one can recognize the value of this pill.

  “Good morning sir.”

At the reception, a beautiful woman speaks to him.

“If you are looking for tickets for the next auction, I’m sorry to say that they are all sold out.”

In the eyes of the receptionist, Lawrence must be a servant coming to buy a ticket for his master. Otherwise, what would a mere level 500 hunter be doing in this respected place?

“You are mistaken, I have come to auction an item.”

The receptionist looks at Lawrence from head to toe and then openly sighs.

“The Violet Twilight Auction House only accepts goods of the highest quality, if your master wishes to auction an item below level 600 I recommend you go to…”

While she speaks in a respectful tone, the disdain can be noticed. She, although a receptionist, is level 700. She is being generous enough to speak to a mere level 500 servant, but no more. The man in front of her is not a potential client, but someone who overestimates himself.

Despite her internal thoughts, she kindly gives directions about another possible auction house that accepts lower quality goods.

Lawrence knows his place, so he does not interfere despite her mistake. He is in a prestigious auction house, he must not make a scene. Only when the receptionist finishes speaking, does he correct her.

“It is a level 800 item, I would like to continue the topic in a private room. This is not a good place for explanations.”

  “…”

A deadly silence follows. The receptionist frowns and then looks around, quickly realizing that Lawrence is alone, without any company.

“Dear customer, this is not a place where you can lie unscrupulously. If you really brought such an item, your companions should have the same level… I ask you to leave. Tell your master to come personally next time if there is any problem.”

Only then does Lawrence realize there is something wrong with this receptionist.

  “Goodbye, have a nice day.”

She seems to consider the case closed, but Lawrence still has much to say. He observes the other receptionists and they all seem to be afraid of her, they discreetly look this way, but without daring to look her in the eyes.

‘Damn it! This receptionist is troublesome!’

He started with the damn wrong foot, this woman didn’t even give him the benefit of the doubt, directly labeling him as a low-ranking servant. What if he were the servant of a hidden ranker? How does this bitch expect to distinguish between the dragon and the pig?

Lawrence doesn’t want to cause trouble, so he clenches his teeth and heads to another receptionist, one who is quite sincere in addressing her clients.

“Good morning, I would like to auction an item of level--”

His words are interrupted by a hand that interposes between him and the receptionist.

“You can leave, I’ll take care of this.”

  “Y- Yes, excuse me.”

Frightened, the new receptionist apologizes and leaves Lawrence alone with that woman.

“Sir, do you have any other matter to discuss? Otherwise, I will ask you to leave.”

Lawrence clenches his fists and responds as politely as he can.

“Madam, my item really is suitable for level 800 hunters.”

  “I understand…”

With a smile, the receptionist looks at someone. Lawrence follows her gaze and then freezes in place. Among the guards, the lowest level steps forward and heads in this direction.

Level 600, for someone like him, Lawrence poses no threat.

“Sir, accompany me to the exit.”

  “That’s enough…”

  This is the last straw.

“I have come to auction an item, is this how I am received?!”

That he raised his voice attracted the attention of everyone, the guard notices this and clicks his tongue. He didn’t want to use force, but the opponent leaves him no choice.

“This is no place for a servant to raise his voice.”

In an instant, mana gathers in his hand and the next moment his fist is in front of Lawrence. A thunderous noise is heard before he disappears without a trace, then the dust rises in the street and the clients understand what just happened.

Lawrence was sent to the exit by force, he won’t regain consciousness until hours later. That is, if he is not dead.

  “Kuh… Bastard.”

But they are surprised to see that man rising from the ground without a scratch.

  “I am not a servant.”

“How unexpected, a servant of level 500 surviving an attack from a level 600 guard? This man is not simple!”

The guard changes expression at being underestimated by the customers. He isn't simple? Ha! He simply moderated his strength, the superiors do not like to see blood in front of the auction house, that guy just got lucky.

“I hoped that all this would end without bloodshed. Now I see it will be impossible.”

Sparks emanate from his body, then lightning forms around him.

  “You are not welcome here.”

“Ha! You are not the one to welcome me.”

“You will regret it if you take one more step.”

As soon as Lawrence shows the intention to approach, the guard responds without hesitation. Dozens of lightning bolts form a sinister bird, destroying everything in its path.

‘You're still holding back, eh, despite everything you are a good man.’ Lawrence smiles unafraid of the approaching attack.

‘But what a pity! I am not!’

As soon as the bird is about to hit his body, a sacred mantle prevents his lightning from harming him. The guard realizes something is wrong, but it is already too late. A warm beam of light hits his chest, sending him back against one of the walls of the auction house.

His injuries are considerable, he will not regain consciousness until hours later. Their exchanges did not last more than 3 seconds, seconds in which the battle ended.

‘Tsk, if not for the level compression, I would be in his place.’

Lawrence dusts off his clothes and speaks calmly, addressing all those present. “I did not come to cause trouble. I just wish someone would evaluate this--”

  “That is now irrelevant.”

A voice sounds from all directions.

“You have dishonored the Violet Twilight Auction House, no matter what circumstances developed this event, dishonoring its honor is a serious offense.”

A man descends the stairs calmly. Time seems to stop around him, his white hair and blue eyes are not overshadowed even by the mask that conceals his features.

All admire the arrival of this man, until one of the clients manages to recognize his identity.

“Misty Plain? What is he doing here?”

“From his words… Did the Violet Twilight Auction House reach an agreement?”

For Misty Plain, the words of the clients are unimportant. He only has eyes to carry out orders.

“I’ll give you credit for not killing him, but you erred in thinking that would do any good.”

  His level, 764.

“Wait! There is a serious misunderstanding!”

Lawrence is not Serene Will or Coldness Divine, he cannot skip levels and defeat enemies with almost 200 levels of difference. Compression gives him an advantage, but it's useless against opponents like him.

“Your mistake was having met me.”

At some point various types of feathers gather around Lawrence, all of them jet-black. Less than three actions he manages to perform before the landscape turns dark.

The shock wave sends the unfortunate flying.
