Sen, still new to Magnus and still new to his powers, went to the arena.
Sen only knows a few of his abilities so far, and with that, he’s standing in front of the arena’s doors. Meanwhile, near the center of the galaxy where an inescapable prison lies—
“Welcome to the inescapable prison, sir. I am the one that will show you around this place,” the guard said as he showed the mysterious man around the prison. The guards do this because they like to show off that their prison is inescapable and is a big tourist spot, since all of the most terrifying beings are inside of it.
“This is where we keep all of the most powerful beings in this galaxy or even this universe. None of them can escape, and since these are the most terrifying, we keep them hung and strapped to the HOLY CHAINS. Heheh, no one and nothing can break them—UUUUH!”
“Thanks for the information. I no longer need your assistance.”
“JUST… WHO ARE YOU?!”
“Ho? You’re still alive after that attack? Well, I shouldn’t be surprised. After all, you’re one of the 50 Supreme Guards.”
“Well then, it’s time for me to hurry this up now… hmmmm. Where are you? There you are, Apakolus.”
Hanging in the center was a being known as Apakolus.
“I’m currently running out of time here, so I will be quick—for Sen has awakened.”
Back to the arena, Sen finds a seat to watch and wait for his turn, and luckily enough, it was his turn. He was kind of surprised; he thought he would at least be near last.
Sen steps on the large plate in the middle of the arena, and his name is called. The audience had no idea who he was, so there was not much cheering. But when Sen’s opponent showed up, he was well known—everyone cheered for him. Sen had no idea who he was.
“The name is Yuzu,” he said confidently. “You must be new around here. Never seen you in this type of tournament. Well, there are a lot of new faces.”
“ROUND ONE!”
“I ain’t going easy on you, ya hear me?”
Sen nodded.
“HERE I GO!”
The round had started, and Yuzu was already in front of Sen. Sen had no reaction—he was just standing there. The first hit was delivered.
“WOW! CLEAN HIT!”
“The name is Yuzu—Yuzu, one of the Head Master Chiefs of the Great Guard of Galex Prison!”
Everyone cheered harder.
“YUZU! YUZU! YUZU!”
Yuzu, with his strong fists, punched Sen across the entire arena, but Sen managed to land on the plate.
“SAFE!” called the announcer.
Yuzu started to get serious over time. With every hit, he became stronger and faster, until he unleashed a special move.
“BARUNING RASHU!”
His fists were like an onslaught of fireballs. With every hit, the arena moved and shook. The arena was breaking with every hit and movement.
The crowd yelled and cheered, “FINISH HIM! FINISH HIM!”
“USE THE FINAL MOVE!”
And so he did.
“This is it for you, Sen. It’s time to end this!”
Everyone was in awe.
“HOLY BALL OF FLAMES, GIGANTO!”
A ball of blue fire arose from behind.
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
“Goodbye, Sen.”
Sen, not being able to move, knew it was going to hit him either way. Yuzu launched a sun-like ball to the ground, and everything was destroyed. Inside the arena, the people were safe because a barrier was there just in case a destructive move were to happen.
Everyone cheered, and when the smoke cleared—
Yuzu was dead.
Standing.
Yuzu realized Sen never attacked back. Looking up to the sky, he smiled as a huge hole in his chest showed itself.
Sen told him as he fell to his knees, “You tried your best. You gave your hardest. But it was clear from the beginning that I won.”
Yuzu started to think back to when the battle first began and realized Sen unleashed an unperceivable attack. Yuzu started to sense his attack when he fell to his knees.
“What was that attack?” he thought to himself. “An attack that cannot be seen. An attack that will hit no matter if I dodge or block it.”
Yuzu looked into Sen’s eyes.
“Does he have any of the 7 Eyes of Asur? It can’t be. Those eyes are rare even to see in a tournament like this one. The only eyes I know that exist are the Eyes of Heaven, the Eyes of Fortune, and the Eyes of Light. But those eyes—I’ve never seen them or heard of them. They look nothing like the legend books say those eyes look like. It fits none of the descriptions.”
“SEN WINS WITH A DEATH FINISH!”
Sen moves on to the next round.
Hana was analyzing the whole thing but could not comprehend what she had just witnessed.
The next round started. Sen found a spot to watch from to see if there could be a true challenge and to test the full extent of the only power he knows how to use.
“Our second contestants are… AKAI from the Hero’s Training Course! And Nebu from the Hero Course as well! Looks like the heroes are gonna fight it out to see who makes it out to the next round!”
“Akai? What’s he doing here? I told that craphead to stay away from this tournament. Geez, him and his crap research on the fallen meteor is really getting to his head.”
Hana was disappointed in Akai.
Akai found Hana and waved at her.
“Just watch me, Hana! I will beat you!”
He yelled so loudly that everyone was looking at Hana as she stood up, with a face full of seriousness.
“Isn’t she one of the strongest Lightning users in the northern galaxies?” people said.
“What’s that dumb kid asking for a fight with one of the elites?”
“Just watch me. I will become stronger,” he told himself.
“ROUND 1! FIGHT!”
“AKAI MAKES THE FIRST MOVE AT BLITZ SPEEDS!”
Akai grinned a little. Akai was skilled but lacked any real power, while Nebu had something called magic. Nebu could command any metal thing and use it, and he could also create metal items to help him.
Akai studied martial arts because he had no power nor magic or anything at all. People would laugh at him because he had nothing, but Akai pushed on and told everyone that he would be the Number One Hero in the universe one day.
Akai delivers a swift attack but is quickly blocked by a metal wall.
“You’re weak, Akai. So let me end you here.”
Akai quickly dodged every attack.
“METAL PRISON!”
Metal rods were planted around the arena and created a wall of metal.
“SHARP SEAL!”
The walls had spikes on them and closed in. There was a roof so no one could escape.
“This is goodbye, Akai.”
The seal shut tight, and when it opened, Akai was bleeding but still awake.
“Did you… believe that you could kill me?”
Nebu was shocked, for no one had survived that attack. One of the dark beasts out in the night survived it once.
Nebu tried it again, but even stronger and thicker.
“I AM SUPREME! YOU CANNOT DEFEAT ME! KNOW YOUR PLACE, SCUM!”
“You call me scum? Then you’re darn right—EEH!”
Akai pushed the walls apart while heavily damaged.
“IMPOSSIBLE! YOU CAN’T EVEN TOUCH MAGIC!”
“EEEAH!”
Akai kept pushing the walls.
“NO! NO!”
“You say impossible—I say you’re darn wrong!”
“METAL SWORDS!”
“HAHAH! THIS MOV—”
“You can summon a bunch of swords and shoot them at me?”
“DON’T YOU MOCK ME, YOU LITTLE—WHAT?!”
“The swords may have stabbed right through me, but it won’t stop me from getting closer.”
Nebu laughed and told Akai to look up.
“RAIN OF SWORDS!”
Akai immediately took the sword he was stabbed with.
“These swords no longer hold magic the moment something is stabbed.”
As the swords rained on him, he used the sword to deflect all the swords and ran straight for his opponent.
“I WILL BECOME THE NUMBER ONE HERO!”
“OH NO YOU DON’T!”
Nebu shot bigger swords from the sides and in front.
Akai’s eyes were glowing with determination—and then it happened.
Akai landed a blow on Nebu, straight through him with a long sword.
“IT’S NOT POSSIBLE!”
“It is possible, Nebu. I know you were on top of the class. I knew you ordered people around. A person like you should not be a hero.”
“CURSE YOU, AKAI!”
“NEBU HAS DIED! AKAI MOVES ON TO THE NEXT ROUND!”
“Hey, Akai. I don’t know how you entered, but hey—I’m counting on you. I look forward to our battle.”
Hana left back to her seat.
Sen looked at Akai and told himself, “There he is—the one to truly challenge me.”
A sinister grin formed on Sen’s face.
Akai was forced to look in Sen’s direction. Akai felt a gust of wind behind him as though he was about to die right there. He could feel the Reaper’s sword behind him.
But Akai snapped out of it and pulled his fist up.
“I ain’t gonna lose!”
It was now Hana’s turn.
Hana the 7th Superior. She is the seventh in her generation, and the name Superior stands for being born with great power. The family tree of the Superiors is a large one; almost none of them know each other if the branch is too far.
In short, the reason why Hana strives to be stronger is to find what happened to her parents and why they never came back. The people of Makomos told her they probably died in the crossfire of the war years ago.
But she never believed that as a kid.
She knew her dad was a Lightning user and her mom was a mage. Hana can use both magic and Lightning.
Though she is strong, she still needs work on her technique.
