Terror of the Black Heaven King

The people aboard the boat were terribly frightened, for what was happening before their eyes was like a nightmare that could not be ignored even if one wished to. Because in the distance, right before their eyes, Yu Sui was walking on the water without stopping, advancing towards them. His blue eyes were etching an unforgettable memory into their minds a memory that instantly evoked the feeling of terror.

All this was happening because everyone on the boat knew that the river they were on was the most sacred river of the Xuemo Sect, which flowed out from here. This was no ordinary river. This river was sealed with holy mantras; every mantra was a divine lock meant to drive away the darkness. Not only could dark forces not enter the middle of this river, but they couldn't even come near its banks. Yet, their eyes refused to believe this sight: a devil walking upon this sacred river.

The boat was just about to reach the shore of the Ming Jing Men Sect when suddenly, Yu Sui, who was walking behind them, vanished. Everyone looked around. Their eyes and ears became instantly alert; their breaths stopped. And then the boat hit the shore, causing a jolt.

As everyone disembarked, one man's gaze suddenly went to the roof of the boat, and what he saw there terrified him out of his wits. Yu Sui was sitting comfortably on the boat's roof, casually twirling his sword in the air. Gradually, everyone's eyes fixed on him.

  Then one man shouted:

"Devil!... He is the Devil! He is the one who did all this. You are a disgusting fiend, you have no place here!"

But this nonsense had no effect on Yu Sui. He merely said calmly:

This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author's work.

"Oh, really!... Then you may as well see what a Devil is!"

With that, Yu Sui placed his hand on the boat, and instantly the boat erupted in flames. Yet, Yu Sui remained seated comfortably amidst the fierce fire. Some people had already fled, while others fainted right there, witnessing the terrifying sight. Yu Sui was amused by their fear. He descended from the boat, smiling, and stood on the ground right in front of the man.

The man saw his black robes and the Xuan Ming Guan Crown on his head, and his breath went cold. His entire body trembled, and he retreated a few steps.

Yu Sui enjoyed seeing his fear immensely. He extended his hand and pushed the man with a fierce black aura, sending the man flying far away, where he fell unconscious. All the others had already fled the scene.

Looking at the main gate of the Ming Jing Men Sect, Yu Sui's eyes welled up for a moment; his heart melted. He took one step forward to go there, but then he retracted his step. And left the spot.

  The Gathering Storm in Taochang

The people who managed to escape ran into the market, shouting: "The Devil has returned, he is killing everyone!"

Running and spreading panic, they rushed into the Taochang Academy, where archery practice was underway. Seeing at least 30 people suddenly storming the academy, everyone was shocked and immediately sprang into action. Just then, sensing the intensity of the situation, Master Shen Jichuan arrived at the scene.

  A little later...

Inside the Taochang Hall. Everything was recounted. Every word, every argument what they saw and what happened. Everyone present, including Master Rong Ke Chang and Shen Jichuan, understood who that Devil was.

Shen Jichuan instructed everyone to remain within the Taochang Academy:

"None of you need to panic. You are in a safe place. You are our responsibility until the situation calms down. Please be assured."

Saying this, Shen Jichuan immediately exited the hall with Rong Ke Chang, and with fiercely angry eyes, he said to Rong Ke Chang:

"The very thing we feared has happened. Summon Mo Yan here immediately. We need to speak with him urgently."

Rong Ke Chang then sent some disciples to fetch Mo Yan. The two disciples rushed away instantly.
