The towering mountains and beautiful valleys looked as though a master artist had painted the most enchanting masterpiece of his life.
At the boundary of the Fuzi Xion clan, nestled within these valleys, something playful was unfolding. Mo Yan, perched high on a guava tree, was savoring juicy guavas while waiting for Yu Sui. Suddenly, his gaze froze. His hand, holding a half-eaten fruit, stalled in mid-air, and his heart skipped a beat. As always, Yu Sui came running toward him.
Mo Yan, who was almost lost in the sight of him, stumbled slightly but managed to climb down carefully. By then, Yu Sui had already reached him.
A gentle breeze blew, shaking a few leaves from the trees. Yu Sui spoke in a lively, mock-stern voice:
"Well, look who it is. The Guava Thief. Has the Linyan clan forgotten how to grow guavas? Is that why you come here every single day? Huh! Get out of here right now!"
Mo Yan looked at him and said nothing except for a lingering smile. But after a moment, he teased back:
"I will come. I’ll come every single day. Let's see who...?"
Yu Sui widened his eyes and took a step toward him, raising his voice slightly:
"Let’s see what... huh!!?....."
As Yu Sui finished his sentence, Mo Yan also took a step forward, looking directly into his eyes. Driven by an unknown attraction, the two were now standing incredibly close. Mo Yan’s long hair, swaying in the light wind, brushed against Yu Sui’s face. Their expressions wore a mask of fake annoyance, but their eyes refused to miss a single chance to smile. Mo Yan, staring into Yu Sui's eyes, teased:
If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
"I’ll see what you can possibly do to stop me. I will come here every day, and I’ll see who has the power to hold me back."
Before the proximity could force Yu Sui to lose his composure, he gave Mo Yan a light shove, sending him tumbling into a pile of leaves. A gust of wind blew, and fresh yellow leaves fell like golden snow. Mo Yan rose silently and turned to leave. Seeing him go, Yu Sui also prepared to walk away. His feet moved forward, but his heart remained exactly where it was. With a blooming smile, he stole one last look back at Mo Yan’s retreating figure. His face glowed like the morning sun, and his smile reached his ears.
When Yu Sui finally turned back, Mo Yan also looked over his shoulder at him, smiling just as widely, wearing the same morning glow on his face.
Until Mo Yan was out of sight, Yu Sui kept looking back again and again, unable to suppress his laughter. The same was true for Mo Yan. For deep down... their hearts had already chosen each other.
It wasn't the influence of the Su Tao Jue mantra. It was their souls that had made the choice long ago. This was the plant that had taken root ages ago.
As the years passed…
This plant flourished more and more.
But along with it, an unspoken fear also made a home in their hearts. Each was afraid of hurting the other. The fear of losing the other before even getting close spread terror in their minds. He hesitated... fearing he would become the cause of the other's pain.
But on the inside…
They were completely surrendered to that unknown pull. Despite the fear, there was a force that bound them with an invisible thread. It was the Su Tao Jue mantra that gave this tree the protection to flourish. It provided the strength they needed,
Binding them together.
Forever.
They weren't just bound by fate; perhaps it was something more. Something even more powerful than destiny. Something pure and unbreakable.
Flashback Ends.
