The Return of the Princes

The elderly man’s eyes filled with tears as he looked from the Su Tao Jue mantra seal to Mo Yan, and then to Yu Sui. A profound, glorious pride shimmered in his gaze. Mo Yan and Yu Sui had come only to verify the seal, but the elder’s reaction surpassed all their expectations.

The elder rose from his seat, and seeing this, Mo Yan and Yu Sui stood as well. With deep respect, the elder folded his hands and bowed low before them.

"Welcome back, Prince Mo Yan and Prince Yu Sui. I cannot express the immense honor I feel to stand before you today."

A smile touched their lips, and a spark lit their eyes. The elder then hurried out of the shop and began to shout a proclamation throughout the entire market town. His voice reached every ear, and every head turned in his direction.

"The son of Queen Guzuie! The heir to this realm! Prince Mo Yan and the son of Princess Wan Yi, Prince Yu Sui, have returned!"

The people were well-acquainted with these legendary names. Every face lit up with a mixture of shock and joy, for Queen Guzuie and Princess Wan Yi had been figures of greatness. Eyes widened in disbelief, and the astonishment only grew when Mo Yan and Yu Sui emerged from the shop, walking shoulder to shoulder.

For a few moments, the town held its breath. A stunned silence fell over the crowd as they stared at the two figures. But then, a sudden roar of jubilation erupted. The crowd broke into a frantic celebration; it was as if a long-lost treasure had suddenly reappeared before their eyes.

Spontaneously, the crowd parted, clearing a long path that led directly toward the grand academy of the Xuemo Sect Tao Hua Chuan. A glow of pride was visible on the faces of the two princes. The elder bowed once more and said:

"Princes, Shiyan Lee Li and Lady Wang Ayi are awaiting you."

Hearing that their family was still in this world, Mo Yan and Yu Sui’s eyes grew misty. They looked at each other and stepped forward. Their steps were no longer heavy with the burdens of the past; they were fueled by a desperate longing.

As they walked through the corridor formed by the crowd, they left a river of celebration behind them.

Inside the Tao Hua Chuan Academy, the world felt frozen in discipline.Shiyan Lee and Lady Wang Ayi sat in the hall, watching the disciples study in perfect order. Outside, near a tree, Duie was playing with a small kitten.

Suddenly, several followers came running toward the academy gates. Gasping for air, they reached Duie. They tried to speak, but their breath was so labored that they simply collapsed nearby, pointing toward the main entrance. Sensing danger, Duie instinctively drew his sword.

But before he could act, he froze. The sword slipped from his grip, clattering onto the ground. His eyes filled with tears as two figures approached through the gates, walking side by side with a captivating grace.

It was Yu Sui and Mo Yan.

As Yu Sui came to a halt before him, Duie was in a state of shock. The boy who once couldn't even bother to tie his hair now stood before him in perfect harmony, dressed in disciplined, regal robes. Before he could utter a word, Shiyan Lee and Lady Wang Ayi came rushing out of the hall.

Shiyan Lee ran straight to Yu Sui and pulled him into a fierce embrace. Her eyes closed with a deep, maternal satisfaction, while tears flowed like raindrops. Simultaneously, Lady Wang Ayi reached Mo Yan. Seeing him safe and sound, her soul felt a peace it hadn't known in years. She, too, pulled him into a warm embrace.

Duie stood there, still dazed. Yu Sui stepped toward him, placed a hand on his shoulder, and teased playfully:

"So, how have you been, brother? Where on earth did you disappear to? Huh!"

Snapping back to his senses, Duie’s face twisted into a mock-annoyed expression:

"Where was I!!? I should be the one asking you where did you go!"
