While Rick and his Goblins were playing sports and living a somewhat peaceful life within the Dark Lands of Mir, things were a lot different for all the Goblins outside of Mir.
It was especially different for all the Goblins living within human lands on the continent.
The reason for that is because the King of Verdan himself issued a kill order on Goblin kind. Within the Verdan Kingdom itself, all adventuring guilds were prioritizing any and all requests relating to Goblins.
Whether it was to kill a known tribe of Goblins, to gather materials, or to find new tribes, everything was being pushed to the forefront. Now it wasn’t like Goblins were living good lives in the forests of Verdan and would’ve likely been killed by anyone who found them and had the strength to do.
But this was different.
The King of Verdan made it clear he wanted all Goblins within his lands to be killed off without fail. So, any and all known tribes were the first ones to be attacked, and before long multiple survey teams departed out in droves to find more.
Even some Knight Orders were dispatched to assist with this endeavor.
Though this Kill Order only applied to the Verdan Kingdom itself. After all, despite the great strength of the King of Verdan, he wasn’t the strongest ruler on the continent so it wasn’t like he could enforce his orders without challenge.
So, another summit was called for, and once again the same forces who attended the Goblin Eradication Summit once again travelled to Verdan, but along with them many representatives from smaller powers and groups were also invited to the Summit.
Eventually all parties were gathered, but before the King could convene the Summit, the Demi-human representative spoke up. This would usually be seen as a rude and likely a punishable act, but when it is was The Lady of the Wood the one speaking, then who would dare call her rude?
“As the representative of Demi-humans at this Summit, let it be known that we will not be participating in any more acts of aggressive action against Goblins of any kind. From this day forth, any aggressive or otherwise criminal acts against Goblins are henceforth banned in all Demi-human lands.
“Let it be known, that should any such acts take place within our lands, it will be punished to the upmost effect of our laws. That is all.”
And with that The Lady of the Wood stood up to leave as her role at this Summit was already accomplished, but of course things wouldn’t be so simple.
The King of Verdan’s face was dark with anger as his displeasure was on display for all to see.
“If you leave this hall without rescinding the words you dared to utter in my lands, then you will leave an enemy. Verdan will not respect you are your nation any longer.”

The Lady of the Wood’s steps paused for just a moment as she said one final thing without even granting the other participants in the room a final look.
“Come then.”
That was it.
That was all.
And then she left without saying another word.
Silence would have been the only response to the departure of the Lady of the Wood’s if not for the air itself cracking with pressure around the King of Verdan.
That went on for a few seconds longer, before he eventually calmed down and the rest of the meeting progressed with an awkward air to it as the smell of another war seemed to be brewing, but mostly without issue.
By the end of it, things while not perfect according to the plans of the King of Verdan were at least acceptable to him. It was mainly because most nations didn’t readily agree to dedicate large state resources to the hunting of Goblins.
But they all at least agreed that they would be posting requests in local guilds to have adventures, and the like handle the hunting of the Goblins. There was a small discussion about what to do about the Demi-humans, though it was shelved by none other than the King of Verdan.
As much as he would’ve liked to beat the drums of war and raid their lands any perceived transgressions, but unlike what his grandfather thought, he wasn’t a fool, at least not completely.
Having a war on two fronts right now wouldn’t be ideal for anyone, not even him.
Either way, the goal of eradicating Goblins out of Human lands was now set in motion, and since majority of Goblins living on the continent had never reached past the Second Tier, there wasn’t much of a fight they could put up.
But Goblins weren’t the only ones experiencing war.
The nation of Dalor was still stuck between a rock and a hard place. With the Orcs to their front, and the ambition of Isla to their back, they were all still fighting and being forced to stay within their lands.
But…the last few years were a lot easier on them when it came to the pressure form the Orcs. While they were not sure at all about what happened in the Iris River Plains, they knew that the Orcs had grown far less aggressive in their attacks and even showed many signs of retreating.
In fact, at some point they stopped attacking altogether and the fearsome Tier Seven Orc was nowhere to be seen.
If the situation was different, then teams would likely have been sent out to investigate the threat at hand, but unfortunately war hadn’t completely left their shores.
Then another change happened.
Minister Franc, otherwise known as the Little Killer, whose renown had even reached the distant lands of Dalor, had shown up in the Kingdom.
The current young King of the Dalor was someone who owed some of his success to the disgraced Minister so we was welcomed into the Kingdom with open arms.
Especially when the Minister made his intentions known about relocating on a permanent basis to Dalor. It didn’t the young King long to grant him a befitting position and title and the man known as Little Finger once again made his prowess known on the battlefield in the war with Isla.
The addition of such a man was not in the plans of Isla, and before long even he had to retreat from Dalorian waters, granting peace to a nation that hadn’t seen such a thing in years.
But at the end of the day, these were happenings that a bunch of Gobbo Ball playing Goblins weren’t really aware of, but how would it all play out once they heard about it all?
Especially Rick? What would his reaction to the Kill Order be?
Needless to say, a stage was set and whether or not Rick wanted it, he would have no choice but to be an actor.
Though what was still up in the air…was how it all would end.
What roles would those in Dalor play? The Demi-humans? One of the strongest people alive and the grandfather of the King of Verdan?
Or would all of them come to know the might of Gang Green when it was all said and done?
Only time will tell.
And Rick…he will tell too.
