God Rivalry – Chapter 13.5: “Raid of Sorcery”
The raid began the moment they arrived.
Without warning, a surge of fire magic erupted from the shadows—an ambush.
Sayaka reacted instantly, raising her Trident of Warman, the golden prongs glowing as she deflected the blast. The energy ricocheted into the distance, shielding both her and Hirauka from the full impact.
Hirauka: “That was close! Some guidance would help, you know!”
Sayaka: “Just dodge and attack! Stay away from the boss—he’s not for your tier yet.”
Hirauka: “Got it!”
Twin divine blades materialized in his hands, faint blue light coursing along the edges. He charged into the chaos, slashing through demonic maces, dark sorcerers, and shadowy wizards.
Every swing was precise—but the enemy fought with equal cunning. Some maces chanted the Spell of Weakening, sapping his strength mid-strike. Hirauka switched to his bow, letting radiant arrows arc across the battlefield, keeping his distance.
Meanwhile, Sayaka scouted ahead, her keen eyes searching for the raid boss controlling the army. A sudden magical bolt streaked toward her, its impact rattling the ground.
Sayaka: “That wasn’t ordinary sorcery… Where did it come from?”
Following the trace, she advanced—but five towering maces rose from the ground, their enchanted armor glinting ominously.
Sayaka: “Move aside.”
Mace: “You shall not pass, mortal.”
Sayaka: “You really don’t know who you’re talking to.”
Mace: “Defeat us first if you wish to face the boss.”
Sayaka: “Fine. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
She lunged forward, trident striking with lightning precision—but the maces’ defenses were overwhelming. Each blow bounced off their reflective armor. Just as she was about to be overwhelmed, Hirauka leapt into the fray, slicing through a mace’s shoulder.
Hirauka: “You alright?”
Sayaka: “Barely. These ones are tougher than they look.”

Hirauka: “Then let’s finish this—together.”
The duo moved as one. Sayaka struck with deadly precision, Hirauka covering her flanks. Their synergy turned the tide, but the maces were relentless.
Hirauka: “If we keep trading blows, they’ll outlast us.”
Sayaka: “Then we end it—now! Invincible Victory!”
Her aura erupted in crimson flames, divine runes encircling her body. Hirauka’s eyes glowed blue as he closed them briefly, whispering under his breath:
Hirauka: “Forging technique… Sword Gauntlet.”
Metal wrapped his arm as a blazing blade ignited from his fist. Together, they charged, their synchronized strikes shattering the maces until none remained.
Sayaka: “That’s over… but the boss is still out there.”
Hirauka: “Then we hunt him next.”
A chilling voice echoed across the battlefield:
“Are you sure you can escape the might of the God of Sorcery?”
Hirauka: “Who’s there? Show yourself!”
From the dark mist emerged a cloaked figure, holding a glowing talisman. His eyes burned violet, and his presence radiated overwhelming power.
Sayaka: “Stay alert. He’s no ordinary demon.”
?? : “I am Majin, Demon Guardian of Dark Magic.”
Hirauka: “I don’t care who you are. You’re just another corpse waiting to fall.”
Majin: “Insolent mortal! Spell of Sickness!”
Pain twisted Hirauka’s body; the world spun around him. He fell to his knees, gasping.
Sayaka: “Hirauka! Are you okay!?”
Hirauka: “N-no… everything’s… spinning…”
Majin: “You cannot escape me. Telekinesis!”
Sayaka was lifted into the air and hurled across the battlefield. She slammed into a stone pillar but struggled to push herself up, blood trickling from her lip.
Sayaka: “You’re not… winning that easily.”
Her trident blazed golden as she charged—but Majin caught her midair and smashed her to the ground.
Majin: “You’re strong… but still beneath me.”
He seized her by the neck, his talisman glowing ominously. Dark energy siphoned her life force.
Sayaka: “N-no… ha…ahhh!”
Hirauka (weakly): “Let… her… go!”
Forcing himself upright, Hirauka dashed forward, slashing blindly. Majin deflected each strike effortlessly.
Majin: “You can’t win, mortal.”
Hirauka (gritting his teeth): “Oh really…? Then watch this.”
His aura exploded, divine power resonating with every word.
Hirauka: “Weapon Manipulation—Forged Fangs, Final Slash!”
He lunged, slicing Majin’s arm and freeing Sayaka. She collapsed unconscious beside him. Majin screamed, clutching his severed limb.
Majin: “You’ll regret that, mortal! Spell of Obliteration!”
The ground quaked, the sky fractured, and black lightning rained down.
Sayaka regained consciousness, dazed and bleeding.
Sayaka: “Hirauka! Get out of here! That spell will consume everything!”
But Hirauka’s eyes glowed faint blue. He whispered softly, almost to himself:
Hirauka: “You think you’re legendary? Then let me show you… what legendary truly means.”
The air crackled with divine thunder.
“INFINITY AXE!”
A colossal, lightning-wrapped blue flame axe materialized in his hands.
Sayaka (shocked): “One of the Three Legendary Weapons…!”
Hirauka hurled it with unstoppable force. Majin conjured a barrier, but the axe absorbed his magic, cleaving through him in a blinding flash of blue fire—beheading the Demon Guardian instantly.
The storm subsided. Silence fell. The raid was over.
Hirauka staggered forward, lifting Sayaka into his arms. With a faint glow, the two disappeared from the battlefield—returning to the quiet hum of the cruise ship.
The ocean waves gently lapped against the hull, oblivious to the battle that had just concluded beyond reality itself.
