Chapter 24: Heart-Shaped

  Kurayami

Enore shaped a piece of wood into a rge vase. She cleaned it out with her own water magic and held it up towards the dark sky. “Perfect!”

Nae stared at the vampire with a tilt of her head. “What are you doing now, mistress? Does this rete to fixing my dress?”

The vampire shook her head. “This will be for storing the succulent energy juice. In the future, this will be very important for my empire of caffeine. I will have a whole storage facility full of bottles just like this one.”

“When will I be able to have another drink, mistress?”

Enore wiggled her finger in front of the wyvern. “No way, taking energy drinks before sleep will start you on a bad habit. Trust me, you don’t want to be like I was before.” The vampire looked at the torn sleeves of Nae’s maid dress. “As for this, you can take it off, and I will fix it while you sleep.”

The wyvern’s face heated, and she clutched her arms to her chest before looking away.

Enore clicked her tongue. “Come on, don’t act so shy now. You were perfectly content to show me your body before. Just cover yourself in scales again.”

Nae shook her head and pointed towards a rge nearby bush. “I will go behind there, mistress. Will that be okay?”

The vampire nodded. She swallowed from the wyvern’s cute expression. Nae’s shyness pulled at her heart strings. Enore turned her attention to the ground instead. She summoned her cauldron from her inventory.

“Good evening, your majesty. I presume all went well inside of that dungeon?”

Enore grinned, showing off her pretty white fangs. “Naturally, it did. Did you see that stone tablet?”

Pot nodded his body up and down. “I did, your majesty. Though, I couldn’t possibly tell you what it meant.”

The vampire’s brow wrinkled. “Were you able to actually read it?”

“Yes, your majesty. I can read it just fine.”

Enore pced a hand under her chin. This cauldron is definitely a strange one. Never learned how to read normally, yet he can do it just fine. Actually, he was talking just fine, too.

  “Your majesty?”

The vampire shook her head and took out the carno’s mana core. She punctured it with her fang, and she allowed the contents to fill up her wooden container. Once it filled to the brim, she put it in her inventory.

Enore looked through the remaining mana cores in her storage, but sadly for her, there were not many left. Most of the pile she’d already used or given away for the purposes of making money. Though, there was a goblin king core she still had in there. If I remember right, this one is supposed to be green apple fvored? I just need to figure out a ratio now.

She poured a drop of caffeine, carno juice, onto her finger, and she licked it. The effect was immediate, and she felt some energy coursing through her body and bubbling up to her head. If I had to guess, this one drop is like 20 milligrams of caffeine.

The drinks she took to arrive here were a total of 150 milligrams of caffeine per can. Maybe I should do 5 drops for every gss?

At that moment, the wyvern came back with her folded maid clothes in her hands. “I am finished, mistress.”

Enore grinned at Nae. “You can pce those on this stump. When I finish with this, I will go about fixing them.”

Nae pced her clothes on the stump but looked at El with a worried expression. “What about you, mistress? Shouldn’t you also get some sleep at night?”

“No, this body doesn’t really need sleep. I can still do it if I want to, but there is little purpose in doing so, other than having pleasant dreams.”

The wyvern sat on the grass next to Enore. “Did you have any pleasant dreams in that human city, mistress?”

“I did. My dreams were wonderful! What about you?”

Nae’s face reddened, and she looked at the ground. “I did. Say, mistress, are you going to wear that new outfit tomorrow?”

“Of course! I think it will be a nice change of pace, and I can’t wait to put enchantments on it. Though, first I need to finish this process.”

The wyvern sat up and looked inside of the cauldron sitting on the ground. “You are going to make a new mixture? Will it be that energy drink again?”

“Yep, though this time, we will have actual fvors. I can’t wait for you to see what it will be like when I have an array of them. You have no idea about the modern energy drinks! There will be so many fvors, it will blow your mind!”

Nae’s mouth opened, and her eyes widened. “The mistress has a lot of strange ideas, after all. I wonder where you came from.”

“Well, it’s not really something I have been hiding. I am not from this world as I have said before, so a lot of my inventions are from the pce I lived prior to this.”

The wyvern id on the ground next to her mistress and yawned. “I will have to ask you all about it ter…”

Enore watched Nae blink several times, and it didn’t take the wyvern long to fall asleep. Sometimes I wish I could fall asleep that easy.

The vampire shook her head, turning back to her more important matters. She poured about 30 drops worth from her little wooden cup into Pot, and then she bit down on the goblin king’s core, sucking it to make sure it was the fvor she expected.

Happy with the resulting taste, she started to pour all of its contents into the bowl. Once it was emptied, she used her sorcerer spell to heat up the new energy soup.

As it started bubbling, she pushed Enerdle inside and began to stir. Within a couple of minutes, her drink was done.

“Yes!” She scooped it up with the dle and pressed it to her lips. The result…

“Amazing!” The vampire shouted before covering her mouth with her hands and checking on her wyvern. Though, luckily for her, the person in question was still snoozing away.

The fvor in her mouth was a jolly green apple explosion, and it made her want to jump high into the sky. However, she calmed her urges, pocketing away the energy fvor into her inventory.

Enore decided against more energy experiments for the time being. Instead, she focused her attention towards the ripped dress. Since she wasn’t a tailor, she only had her [Mending] spell to work with, but thankfully that did the job. Threads of mana weaved into the thing perfectly, fixing it right up.

In the meantime, a certain sleeping wyvern crawled around in her sleep. Nae moved several times, until her head climbed into Enore’s p.

Before the vampire could even realize what was happening, she was giving Nae a p pillow. Enore looked down at the sleeping wyvern, her cheeks flushing. Seriously?

Though it startled her, El made no attempts to remove Nae from her p, nor did she try to wake her. No, that would be even more embarrassing! It would look like I put her here!

El took several deep breaths before returning to her task. She looked at the chest region of the dress. It would be better if I could mend something to it in order to form an enchantment. Without a socket, the enchantments won’t be as strong.

The perfect idea came to mind. It was like a fsh of inspiration. She thought back to the treasure chest and all of the pieces of jewelry inside, and she began to take out neckces and rings one by one.

There were some that were covered in garnets, rubies, or sapphires. The vampire began to take out the gems inside of each jewelry piece until she found what she was looking for.

Most of the gems were useless, but there was one that was perfect. Well, almost perfect…

Inside of a pendant, there was a pink gem. Though, there was only one problem with it. “Why is it in the shape of a heart of all things? [Inspect].”

Lovers...There is no way I can use this!

Once again, the vampire looked down at the sleeping wyvern, and Enore’s cheeks flushed more than they’d ever done in either of her lives. Her heart pounded in her chest, throbbing with a strange affliction.

“It should be okay, right? There is no way Nae will know the difference…”

Enore made up her mind. It wasn’t like she had other gems to use anyways. None of them would match Nae’s pretty pink eyes or her beautiful pink hair...
