Prologue

  Someone's POV

  Hopes...

  Dreams...

  Goals...

These were but a few things that drove mankind and their desires. They were also the reason for their divisions. Picture this: intelligent life forms that roamed the earth, causing mischief and mayhem no matter who you were and what you were.

But what if there was no conflict? No judgement?

If it applied to one's wish or goal, then nothing was impossible—no fight, no war, no conflict, not even bloodshed.

But the human mind was dangerous.

For example, you could take the weakling and then drive them to do whatever you wanted as long as it was beneficial.

  However,

Such benefits were close to nonexistent. In the end, the one who gave the order to the weak gained more.

Such a hollow and twisted thing to think about. Using your own kind for your deepest pleasure or even desire. As if that was not enough, the human race was so divided that if something bigger or stronger came up, they ran with their tails between their legs.

They were nothing more than cowards who listened and obeyed those who had power.

Such a sight really sickened me.

All that knowledge, yet their own twisted ideals wasted it.

  Very well then.

If that was how it was going to be, then let's py it by your rules...

  Clink!

I pced my teacup on a table.

I was in a pce where one could rex. This pce I was in was a restaurant where you could grab a cup of tea and enjoy the view. Well, I couldn't really say anything more since it was a new pce that had just opened, but I digressed. A pce where I could get a view of the new age.

And for the sight of seeing the judgment begin.

I flicked open a portable device, dispying what would unfold to the world.

  A new world...

A new era was about to begin....

  Narrator's POV

The person watching the monitor on their device saw a small anthill near the exit of the city.

Naturally, you would think it was full of ants. Nothing strange or particur about that at all.

But that was far from the truth.

Not long after, something small came out of it.

  But it was strange.

It wasn't an ant or any kind of small insect that you expected to come out.

Indeed, it was much worse than that.

Something weird and strange came out of the hole. An unknown creature that no man could believe if they saw it in person.

With the body of a roach, sharp horns like a rhino, a face of a bat, and a mixture of eyes of a snake. Not to mention, it also had the nose of a mouse and human-like teeth.

The wings fpped. The sound of the wings would give anyone who was afraid of roaches anxiety. It seemed like a monster that came out of a horror movie or even a video game that was rated M for Mature.

With that being said, it grinned in a sinister way as drool started to spill from its mouth and onto the ground. The spit was most likely toxic since part of the dirt was melting while having these bubble-like sounds when dissolving.

The creature flew toward the city. The city that was called Saigo no Shudan. A neighboring city of Tokyo.

Why Saigo no Shudan, you ask?

All of that would be expined in due time.

While the creature was flying toward the city, the anthill started to make some cracking sounds. As the cracks from the anthill became bigger—

  Boom!

The anthill exploded, and it created a massive manhole.

  It was wet and soaked.

The sounds that it made—the sounds that came from the hole—were moans and groans from the unknown. The unknown that would reveal itself to the world... starting with the city nearby.

  A cw slowly reached out.

A cw that resembled an owl's talon. It had slime and sticky substance that you could only see in body fluids...

  Saigo no Shudan

Saigo no Shudan was a pce where foreigners could rex more easily and not worry about disturbing the peace of the fellow residents of Tokyo.

Of course, there were some Japanese people who worked there to provide guidance and spread kindness to those who decided to visit this city as a way to rex and have a vacation.

And frankly, it was a pce where you could earn the most as a fellow Japanese citizen, but it was mostly a way to keep peace and have the foreigners have their fun while respecting their history and their culture.

Meaning that if anyone acted up or tried to disturb the peace, by w, that was spoken with the president of the United States, Japan, and many other countries, if anyone disrespected a fellow country and their culture, they would be held accountable and would be driven out of that said country and might NEVER come back until otherwise.

  But leaving that for now,

A couple of foreigners—a caucasian woman with a curvy body. She had blonde hair, blue eyes, a pin green T-shirt, short dark blue jeans, and white sports shoes. And a dusky man who was bald and had a built body. He also had brown eyes, a big nose, a dark green shirt that showed his biceps and abs in detail, dark blue shorts, and white shoes.

They were enjoying the starry night sky. It was their honeymoon, and they were getting ready to head back to their hotel.

"Phew! Boy, that meal really hits the spot." The boyfriend said to his girlfriend while hitting his six-pack abs under his dark green shirt.

"I know, right? I'm so gd that we get the chance to experience this! They allow us to stay over in Tokyo, too, but due to the st group of tourists that disrespected their ways and caused trouble in that city, I want them to be as comfortable as possible and stick to the pce that's more common to us foreigners, you know? It's the main reason why they built it in the first pce," the girlfriend expined while scratching the side of her face.

"Well," the boyfriend wrapped his hand around his girlfriend's, grinning. "I heard that the governments of all nations were calling a meeting to increase the harmony of all the races, so there is a chance that the chaos which the foreigners bring will settle down soon. And no one from the states or even the isnds would feel bad, you know? We'll just have to keep having faith in humanity!"

"Yeah, right! The day the human race can get along is when hell freezes over, and we can put our differences behind us!" the girlfriend joked while swinging both of hers and her boyfriend's arms.

  "Haha, well, you never know—"

The boyfriend's smile disappeared with curiosity. Moments ter, his face turned full of despair. His movement stopped, shivering in fear.

His girlfriend noticed and frowned in confusion. "Babe?" She tilted her head. She then went in front of her boyfriend and waved her left hand at him. "Sweetie, what is wrong—?"

  "AAAHHH!!!!!"

A man's scream suddenly pierced the air.

"H-huh?! What was that?! A scream?!" The girlfriend panicked.

She looked in the direction of that scream.

When she saw what the boyfriend saw, all words left her mouth as she stood there, in shock, fear, and horror.

"Gasp!" The girlfriend covered her mouth.

  Crunch! Crunch!

  Crush! Chomp!

That sound. On this beautiful night that was supposed to be full of joy and ughter, why did it sound so disturbing and familiar?

  Crunch!

  Crunch!

  Crouch!

Ah, now they understood as they stared at it in fright. That was the sound of eating. Something was eating someone.

  Crunch!

  Crunch!

As spit spilled on the floor, mixed with blood pouring out of a body, a sight that seemed to come out of a horror movie had come to life.

  Chow! Chow!

A man's head was getting chowed as tears fell. It seemed like another tourist, but only his head was crushed by a creature that seemed to be a mixture of a wolf with snake skin and tail. As that creature dug its teeth into the head of its victim, the man reached out to the couple in agony.

"Save me! Someone help me— ARRGGGHHH!!!!"

  TEEAAARRR!!!!

  SMASH!

The wolf-like creature tore the head open, and the brain was revealed. A couple of wolf-like creatures appeared next to the first one. With blood in their mouths, they started to break apart the man's body into pieces.

More screams were heard in the background. It seemed like the other people were getting attacked as well.

The man's eyes were unched out of his head, and blood poured out like crazy as the group of wolf-like monsters dug in. As one tore a leg apart, another one opened the man's guts, and they spilled like noodles.

Another one tore a leg while another wolf-like creature tore an arm off. The creature slurped the guts intensely, as if you were eating some noodles out of a fresh bowl after heating it up for three minutes.

To make matters worse, the man's head got crushed by the first creature's sharp teeth. The creature savored the taste of fresh blood as it poured out of its mouth. As it licked its lips, enjoying every bit of the taste of a human being.

Nothing tasted better than a human who was in fear. Nothing was sweeter than your prey pying hard to get. And then finally, you tore them apart while letting them scream for their dear life, crying for mercy, eating them alive along with their sweet screams.

The lust from sinking your teeth inside their skulls—creaking it—breaking it so hard that you could get to that juicy part—the brain. The brain kept humans alive.

The heart was second best; letting it pump for a few seconds allowed humans to suffer as they wished they had never been born. You might think it was terrifying, but humans were just like this, too—just like eating chicken for lunch or dinner. It was tasty and sweet with sauce added to it, and had that texture of juicy meat as it touched your tongue—the way meat sank in your teeth while sparkles surrounded your face.

This was one of the mindsets of these horrible monsters from underground. Where did they come from? Why were they here?

A lot of those questions would have been made in one's sanity...

  "What the fuck?! Those things...!"

The boyfriend slowly stepped back and held on to his girlfriend's hand for warmth—

  CHOMP!

Only to feel something wet spsh on his body. The boyfriend slowly looked in fear, as his body stuttered as if you were trying to start an engine of a car. What he saw was his girlfriend's bottom half, while the top half was only the face of the wolf-like monster that just wickedly smiled at him. As he sat on his butt on the floor, a piece of his girlfriend's arm was torn by the force of his pulling. The boyfriend lifted it up and slowly shook his head in denial. But after seeing the swinging arm moving a bit, he came to his senses and started to sprint away from the scene.

  "AAAAHHHH!!!!!"

The boyfriend screamed at the top of his lungs.

  Step! Step! Step!

He ran, and he ran, and he ran, and he ran.

As the heavy footsteps were heard in the streets—no. More like getting drowned out thanks to the many screams of the humans getting sughtered left to right.

As the whole city was starting to be painted red, the man continued to run away. It was the only logical thing to do at a time like this. If he had just stayed there, he would have died as well. After a swift turn to the left and then the right, the man slid inside an almost-closed building. The door was closed with wood that was supposed to keep people out.

Once he was inside, he shoved whatever was inside the building and barricaded the door shut.

He then finally pced a TV on top of the pile of stuff and then panted very loudly. Once that was done, he slowly sat on the floor, trying to process what was going on. The young man held his head as he seemed to be calming down now, knowing that he was safe for now. With one st pant, he wiped his brow and looked at the sweat dripping on the floor.

  "Wait..."

  The man whispered in fear.

That is not my sweat... he thought. The man slowly looked behind his back and then—

  "Grrrr...."

A sound like a growl came from behind him. It revealed itself to be a monster with a human head, six eyes, about 100 teeth, and the body of a worm, staring at the man with drool falling from its mouth.

  "Ah...ah...AAAHHH!!!!"

  CHOMP! CHOMP! CHOMP!

As his scream echoed inside the building, more creatures started to crawl toward it with sinister smiles on their faces.

Some big and some small, one thing was on their mind: to consume the sinners that were called humanity...

  Meanwhile...

  Someone's POV

  The purge was happening.

  Everything was going as pnned.

The scream of mankind as their sins crawled over their backs with horrible creatures attacking them. That was a great sight to see.

Ashamed that a couple of innocents had to die, but that was what it took to make a new world order.

The human race had this coming for a very long time.

  This was justice.

I looked to my left, and I saw one of those wolf creatures sitting next to me with its tongue out. I patted it and then looked back at the screen—huh?

  What was this?

  A boy?

  Wait...

There was more to it than that. That monster... it was speaking with him.

A monster that had a dark cloak over it.

I stroked my chin in curiosity.

A monster that was not killing a human being? I had never seen this turn of events...

Yet, here I was, watching it unfold.

Had I been blind? Were these humans worth saving?

  Interesting.

  Interesting, indeed.

  I wondered...

I suddenly smirked, excited to see where this unforeseeable future would take us.
