5 minutes later
“I was desperate, please let me go!” Bundled together using thick enchanted rope were the drug dealer and the addict, both captured by Minnie and Adonis respectively.
“You tried stealing from me.” Adonis stared blankly.
“I had an urge, c’mon man try to understand me here.” Randy plead.
“Why do I have to be tied up to HIM?” Dan scoffed at his client.
“You’re the one who got me addicted!” Randy scowled.
“You came to me with your problems, I simply gave you the solu-”
“Both of you are being loud…” Adonis sighed irritably as he studied the fine white powder in the pouch.
“Sorry sir.” They said in unison.
{What a bunch of pussies.} The Devil God said disinterestedly.
‘ I need to get these to a lab so I can study it further.’ Adonis concluded.
“Dan, where’s the money you made for the day?” The boy shifted his attention to one of the pathetic men.
“Y-you didn’t say anything about taking my money!”
“Yours?”
“N-no, I mean… My boss will be really mad if I don’t return with my quota.” The colour in Dan’s face flushed.
“Well, you won’t be returning to your boss.” Adonis shrugged.
“W-what do you mean by that!” Fearing for his life, Dan summoned a large leather pouch containing hundreds of bronze coins.
“That wasn’t a threat, I meant you won’t be drug dealing anymore.” Adonis snatched the pouch before Dan could regret presenting it.
“Then how am I going to make a living?!”
“You’ll work for me, both of you… I’ll pay you two gold coins a week.” Pocketing the drug dealer’s pouch, Adonis summoned two gold coins and flicked them at Dan.
“Where’s my gold?!” Practically drooling, Randy voiced the unfairness.
“First you need to get clean, then I’ll pay you.”
“Y-yes sir.”
“What will we be doing?” Oogling the gold coin in his palm, Dan asked.
“The opposite, we’ll be freeing this city from the clutches of Shed-two.”

3 hours later
Pegasus Hotel, Adonis’s room
“I’m exhausted.” The boy sank himself into the comfort of his blankets.
{Which one are you Oizys?} Eos asked curiously.
“Which what?” Adonis turned onto his back.
{ “Every magic knight that enters an academy are either nobles who see themselves as above everyone else or someone who thinks they are destined for greatness, so for them to fall to this kind of position would mean they are doing whatever they can to survive and have discarded their previous lifestyle and goals.” That’s what you said… So, which one are you?} The Devil God clarified.
“Well, I’m no noble that’s for sure.” Adonis chuckled sourly.
The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.
{So you’re destined for greatness?}
“Would the great Devil God curse someone who wasn’t?” Adonis chuckled teasingly.
{Don’t flatter yourself, I was desperate.} Eos scoffed.
“So was I…”

The next day, inside a dark large hall like room
‘It’s a tower-type dungeon.’ Adonis studied The empty room with stairs at the opposite end.
“Is this floor vacant?” Keeping her guard up, Roxanne summoned her sword.
“Be careful everyone.” Spear in hand, Rocco warned.
“Look!” Hiram pointed her magic staff at the eerie stone stairs at the edge of the room.
Emerging from the small cracks in the room was a pink gooey substance that slowly contorted its form into a humanoid monster.
‘Goop, a Pink rank monster.’ Adonis identified.
{You mortals have such lazy naming skills.}
“It looks like snot.” Rocco chuckled.
“Roxy, when’d you sneeze?” Adonis teased.
“Brat!” She huffed.
“Miss Hiram you stay back and freeze the monster after we immobilize it.” Suppressing his laughter, Rocco spun his spear.
“Got it.” Hiram nodded.
“Stay close!” Leading the assault, Rocco dashed forward as he spun his spear eagerly.
The leader of the party coated his spear’s blade in Earthly Aura and swung it with all his might at the monster’s semi-liquid form.
“TYEWW?”
Before the blade could sever the monster in half, the Goop separated its body into two different halves of mucus.
“It’s fast.” Acknowledging the distracted monster’s incredible speed, Adonis appeared behind it and used his gladius to hack vertically at its head.
Deeming the amateur magic knight’s attack as feeble, the Goop merely let the blade sink into its body; causing no physical damage and just becoming completely stuck.
“You need to use Earthly Aura to be able to damage it, you idiot!” Following her own advice, Roxanne enhanced her sword with Earthly Aura and sliced at the monster’s legs.
As if mocking its adversaries, the Goop separated its body at the would-be point of contact once more and merely looked down at the magic knights.
“If it deems your attack as a threat, it’ll try to evade it…” Sharpening his eyes, the boy focused on his sword stuck in the monster.
“A feint?!” Roxanne gasped.
Coating his lodged blade in Earthly Aura, Adonis increased the force he exerted and severed it into two sides, limiting its mobility before it could realize what was happening.
“It’s up to you Hiram.” Before the monster could reform or even hope to counterattack, the three of them dashed backwards to give the mage her opportunity to shine.
“Ice magic: Frost Flash.”
Summoning two small throwing knives from his spatial ring, Adonis coated them in Earthly Aura and threw them at the frozen halves of the monster. Shattering it and leaving a pink magic crystal to roll along the ground towards him.
“You could have told the rest of us your plan.” Roxanne huffed.
“And what if the monster heard us.” Suppressing the darkness in his eyes, the boy smirked playfully.
“Tsk.”
‘He figured that out before I even launched my first attack?’ Rocco furrowed his brow for a brief second before flashing his signature bright smile.
“Well done, we finished this level rather quickly. Let’s get going.”

The dungeon’s second floor was much larger than the first, with its ceilings approaching 15m. Standing in the floor’s centre, side by side were two powerful pink rank monsters of deferring sizes.
The monster on the left was around 6m tall and had a spherical body with protruding appendages of various functions: claw arms, thick muscular appendages resembling arms and legs and even a few holes that led to a mouth with serrated teeth.
“It’s disgusting.” Adonis and Roxanne said in unison.
The monster on the right wasn’t any prettier, although it was both shorter and leaner than its partner it also carried its own air of power.
It possessed a huge ovoid head with a glowing pink orb protruding towards its nape. Towering above the humans, it featured long limbs with talons at the end of each appendage. While its partner was built for strength and durability, it was made to move quickly and with agility.
“How ugly.” Rocco and Hiram said flatly.
“They’re both around Tier 7 Low Rank strength individually.” Adonis narrowed his eyes.
“Fighting them at the same time will be troublesome, to say the least.” Rocco poured more Earthly Aura into the spear in his right hand.
“We should take care of them individually.” Roxanne suggested.
“I doubt the other one will be willing to wait its turn.” Adonis declined.
“We can fight them two on two.” Rocco concluded.
“I’ll team up with Roxanne, we may be weaker. But our versatility as magic knights will make up for it.” Adonis said.
“Let’s take on fatso.” Roxanne walked towards the monster on the left.
“It’s settled, it’s me and you Hiram.” Rocco smiled.
After briefly nodding, Hiram raised her magic staff and erected a solid thick wall of ice; separating the floor into two halves.
Frost barrier
“You better not hold me back, student.” Roxanne coated her sword in Earthly Aura and lunged at the monster confidently.
“ I don’t plan on it.” Fuelling his movements with Earthly Aura, Adonis followed behind his partner as he evaluated the monster’s physique.
‘I doubt my Inferno magic is going to harm it’s skin, and I need to save my mana for the boss battle. Using the Supreme Devil Arts I should be able to create an opening for Roxanne to deal the finishing blow.’
As the two magic knights approached the monster, it sent forth dozens of its appendages.
