Chapter 82

  10/11 2:51 (Autumn, Day, Midrar)

  Luna maintained the momentum of her previous movement, smashing into the Human with her shoulder, adding in both the minor force caused by her mass, a relatively negligible amount when considering the physical strenght of the two involved, and the much greater force caused by her Black Blood and Divine Power working jointly.

  Mark was sent flying back only briefly before Luna grabbed him by the hand, pulling him towards her and striking fast with a merciless knee to his face.

  As the Human retreated, an hand rising to cover his wounded face, the Lunarian continued on her assault, her already extended limb stretching out in a kick that struck the Human between the neck and shoulder, spiking him downwards, the blonde smashing against the ground and bouncing once.

  Luna continued on, slamming on the blue eyed one’s chest with the total amount of force she could bring to bear with her weight and her Black Blood, her left hand rising up high towards the sky above as some of her Black Blood accumulated within it before bursting ablaze, becoming vivid red flames with a much darker core, an Altered Attribute called Blood Flame.

  The fire mixed in within the Lunarian’s Aura, being condensed first in a fireball as a rough imitation of the way that her Amber used fire like an extension of herself, the sphere expanding to form a long spear of flames that she thrusted downwards.

  Mark’s eyes opened wide in alarm, pulling as much Mana as he could with his Spirit’s help before blasting it outward as fast as he possibly could, sending himself away just in time to evade being impaled to the ground.

  Before he could even rise on his feet, he found himself crossing his arms, Luna’s previous spear, now rendered a mostly solid javelin, being immediately thrown at him, piercing his left arm before he forcefully deflected his arm and the spear to the side, saving his head, before concentrating his Aura and Vital Energy together to fight back against the flames that slowly caused his own blood to start boiling from inside his body.

  Joules joined in their own Aura to his efforts, helping to stiffle to blaze from growing even more by devouring his blood, while Mark himself ran forward, meeting Luna’s rush half way there with his own, his Aura condensing in a mostly solid layer around him, an armor that helped him fight back against the Lunarian’s much greater physical might.

  Mark’s wounded arm, precisely held together by the Spirit’s own manual control over the Human’s Vital Energy blurred forward at once, trying to smash into Luna’s forehead in a punch, punch that the Lunarian deflected away from herself with a pale right arm and a brief burst of Vital Mana, continuing on her way to grab the Human’s shoulder.

  Before the blonde could react to her action, Luna forced him down by at the same time pulling herself up, her legs rising from the ground in a flash and violently slamming against the avenger’s chest, one at heart height while the other at the height of his stomach, spinning in mid-air to slam him in the ground violently.

  Luna soon landed on her feet easily, her back to the time traveler currently laying down on the ground, a single one of her red eyes peeking over her shoulder down at him, disappointment clear in her gaze, almost as if she wanted to ask ‘Is this all that your hatred and thirst for revenge amount to? Is this really where your endless hunt for a way to slay me will leave as the place for your grave?’

  The abomination waited no further, content by having stoked his hatred even further, launching over her shoulder a bright scarlet gem and a casual Blood Flame bolt, their trajectory meeting right before his head.

  His blue eyes could barely widen, his death now but a breath away, before a force collided with his body, sending him flying away from certain death even if not saving him from slamming in the ground, being briefly left deprived of breath.

  Mark pulled himself up, observing Luna and more specifically the way she was quite casually studying the pink-covered stones that constantly moved to block her way to himself, being somehow even able to resist a couple of her probing attacks despite they normally being more than enough to destroy the rocks currently harrassing her.

  He concentrated on speeding up his recovery even faster, fighting back against the flames that even now were burning him from the inside out, his and Joules Aura concentrating on extinguishing the Blood Flames currently within his body, forcefully suppressing it.

  With an heavy breath, he turned his full attention back towards the Lunarian, just in time for her to use her Innate Skill “Presence: Charm”, causing the rocks to tremble in mid-air before falling back on the ground, Rose’s “Magic Eyes of Psychic Might” being overwhelmed at once without even a fight.

  Thing that didn’t surprise Mark at all as he himself warned her, maybe even excessively to be honest, to never actively fight back against the Lunarian, and as he warned her, she did not fight her nor use her Magic Eyes on her body.

  After all, he knew very well that an active use of her Magic Eyes upon an enemy would entail a contest of will between the two of them and thanks to the memories of his previous Times, he knew well that said contest would end terribly for his pink-haired friend.

  Mark was barely able to rise his guard as the Lunarian’s moved towards him, body currently enveloped in a thin layer of her Skill, a thin layer that chaotically expanded before contracting back, ensuring that her way would be free of any telekinetically-controlled obstacle.

  Luna’s right punch was deflected away from Mark’s body by his left arm while his own fist was easily parried away as well, their legs meeting between the two as their kicks connected with each other mid-kick, their hands blurring between the two in an instant as punch after punch was launched.

  Quickly the Lunarian, even without using her Aura to her fullest, was able to gain the advantage, landing punch after punch on the Human’s chest and arms while constantly pulsing her Presence Skill all around both of them, assuring that the psychic one would not interfere in their fight without entering in a contest of will with herself.

  Bruise after bruise formed upon the Human’s body before healing, until finally his Cooldown was done, activating immediately his “Time Walker”, the World graying and slowing down to a crawl.

  He breathed in deeply, immediately noting his inability to move caused by thin tendrils of Black Blood that locked all of his limbs in place, without allowing him to move at all in any direction, incredibly thin, to the point that he was incapable of seeing them without actually serching for them, strings of Black Blood a centimeters from his body that he could break without even noticing them.

  Strings that because of his own Unique Skill, now served as both an impenetrable barrier to keep him in place even during his absent time and as an alert system to identify when he used his Unique Skill in the first place.

  Immediately he shut off his Unique Skill’s effects before it reached the two seconds mark as otherwise he would have wasted even more time, especially considering that his Cooldown would be derived from the time it was actually active and so better waste a single second than two.

  Before he could even confirm that he shut off the Skill in time, a punch crashed into his face, sending him flying back into a briefly created panel of Vital Mana and in so doing Mark found himself open for Luna’s following attack, a pair of chops that fell right on his shoulders and bringing him down to his knees.

  Mark could not even begin to deal with the previous strike that the following blow homed in on him, a spin kick that sent his face crashing down on the ground, immediately turning around to cross his arms before his body, rolling with the punch to make distance between the two before forcefully jumping to his feet.

  In so doing, the Human thankfully was able to dodge the low kick sent by the Lunarian, landing fully on his feet before turning around and launching a great lightning bolt with Joules support towards his hated enemy, trying to either injure her or force her back.

  Neither of his intention worked as Luna not only didn’t hesitate but also accelerated until she was a breath away from his attack, only to pulse, the Spell unraveling before her, leaving her way completely free for the Lunarian to cross.

  Luna’s whole body pulsed once more, her “Counterspell” using her “Presence” Skill to function as an enhancement towards the influence of the first of the two, as she rapidly closed the distance towards the blonde, her right hand lenghtened in a spear, trying to pierce her opponent’s heart.

  Just before she could end the fight right here and now, however, a great boulder created entirely out of solidified Earth-Attribute Mana enveloped in a light pink glow shadowed her form, falling upon her from on-high; Without any hesitation her Counterspell ripped the glow and the boulder itself back into harmless ambient Mana, leaving behind only the magmatic core hidden deep within, magmatic core that unlike the boulder was actually a physical material and not a fabbricated one.

  Luna’s eyes opened slightly more in surprise as a wave of rapidly cooling magma fell upon her.

  A superior existence alien to the world of Gaea, a fleeting dream made real by the blessing of the Blood Moon and her own nature as a natural Singularity.

  The owner has no need for breathing and this body will not be affected by time, finding it easy to use their Vital Energy, that will regenerate automaticaly.

  The owner can see in the dark perfectly, will never forget anything they experienced personally, with the addition of the knowledge obtained from the Moon’s database; at this Rank this knowledge while mostly subconscious, can be accessed actively.

  The owner will have increased Resistance to all Attributes and a natural Resistance to Status Effects.

  The owner is able to store up to 300 leters of blood in their shadows and the ability to convert it in Vital Energy and Mana and the conversion of it in Magicules.

  The owner will also, normally, have a large increase to their Affinity to both Dark and Curse Attributes but because of “Singularity” the increase is redirected towards No Attribute Affinity.

  Finally if the sucking of Blood kills or the victim has died shortly before, the Soul of the victim is stored within the owner of this Skill’s, adding their knowledge to the Moon’s database.

  At D-Rank the owner can now either create Familiars out of the stored Souls or, given enought Mana and Vital Energy, can resurrect them.

  The Familiars created are derived by one of the non-Racial Skill of the original Souls, but with one lower Rank than its highest Ranked Skill.

  Also at D-Rank the owner can use Vital Energy to control and shape their Blood and Mana to Shape shadows and thanks to “Singularity”, the owner is able to Shape Black Blood instead.

  Unique:

  Singularity C

  A Skill that denotes the nature of the owner’s Soul being a black hole in which nothing will ever escape.

  The owner of such a Soul cannot use any Attribute Magic of any type; however Magic that doesn’t depend on any Attribute will be vastly enhanced and so will be the ease in the control of Mana and Energy in general and the efficiency and speed of any Energetic conversion and transfer.

  Additionally Limits on Magical Affinities, Energy Control and Conversion Efficiency will be nullified.

  The final effect at E-Rank will be that the increases in an Attribute Affinity will, instead, increases No Attribute Affinity.

  At D-Rank, all Sustain Costs are negated and the Stability of any construct made of Energy is brought to the maximum.

  At C-Rank, the User’s Energy is too dense for other’s to interfere with it, upgrading’s the owner’s Status Resistance to Nullification.

  At C-Rank, the owner can also start the process of [Annihilating Conversion] but is not able to properly brought it to completion, releasing instead a beam of Energy influenced by all the Skills of the owner by consuming all the Matter and Energy in the area, activated at no cost but with a Cooldown of 30 days {20 days}.

  Soul Harmony B

  This Skill denotes that the owner’s Soul is moving towards harmony guided by their Unique Skill, their Soul being strenghtened by this process and increased ease of use of the owner’s Energy and their Potential.

  Finally, every day, the owner will receive Magicules equal to the total Rank of all their other Skills times 7.

  At D-Rank the owner’s Vital Energy and Mana Quantity are further increased.

  At C-Rank, the owner’s Soul is further in harmony with itself reducing sharply Cooldowns while enhancing their Essence and Existence.

  At B-Rank, the owner’s Vital Energy Quality and Recovery and Mana Quality and Recovery are increased.

  Unique Arma: Sorcerous Armor of the Singularity C

  A person could be considered such if they have an Unique Skill, whether Active or not.

  This is nothing but the use of Orichalcum to manifest it in a physical form able to be wielded only by its owner.

  This particular Unique Arma is derived by the Unique Skill “Singularity” and, as such, is extremely efficient at Converting, Transfering and Amplifying Energy.

  Additionally, this Skill increases the Quantity and the Recovery of Energy of the owner, depending on this and the Unique Skill “Singularity”’s Rank.

  Manifested State:

  _At E-Rank this Skill increases the Existence of the owner and their Spells, Techniques, Arts and Creation are Casted as if with extra Energy depending on this Skill’s Rank.

  _At D-Rank the owner’s Damage Resistance is increased and so is the Quality of all Energy of the owner.

  _At C-Rank it will be able to awaken by using the command “Awaken!”.

  _This Skill manifests for the moment as two armored gloves covering a little beyond the owner’s forearm and armor that covers the owner’s feet and a little beyond their foreleg; principally made of a black scale-like material, had a circle made of Orichalcum on the center of it, both in the palm and the back of the hand with details in platinum around them connecting with a bracelet made of the same material around her wrist.

  Awaken State:

  _While in the Awakened State, all incoming damage is reduced while the Existence of the owner is increased.

  _The Cooldown is equal to one hour plus the Activation Duration {60 minutes + Activation Duration/1,7}.

  _While it is Awakened, it constantly absorbs Vital Mana from the owner.

  Finally, every day, the owner will receive Magicules depending on this and the corresponding’s Unique Skill Ranks.

  Devouring Evolution D

  This Skill denotes the ability of the owner to devour other Beings and take in their power to expand the owner’s own Skills and increases their Potential at the cost of any potential Familiar or 100% of the Magicules to be absorbed.

  Finally, every day, the owner will receive Magicules equal to this Skills Grade times 100.

  At D-Rank, this Skill will Activate automatically once enough “blood” is drinked by the owner while their control over this process is increased.

  Core Implosion E

  This Skill demonstrates the ability of the owner to temporary crush down someone’s Essence Points into Power, using in this case a combination of “Authority: Black Blood”, “Authority: Vital Mana”, “Unleash Aura” and “Singularity” to temporarily increase all of the owner’s other Skills’ Rank by one.

  In addition, this act passively increases the owner’s Potential, Essence, Essence Recovery, Existence, Vital Mana, Vital Mana Control, Vital Mana Quality and Vital Mana Recovery and grants an amount of Magicules depending on the total amount of Magicules absorbed by the owner.

  Core Implosion State:

  _Cost: Max EP x 0,5; Vital Mana x 0,5; Cannot Recover EP while in this state;

  _Increase the Rank of all other Skills of the owner.

  Innate:

  Regeneration C

  This Skill denotes that the owner is able to Heal themselves using Vital Mana alone.

  In this particular case, however, the Skill function as an Enhancement towards the Healing caused by the nature of the owner as a Lunarian.

  At D-Rank this Skill also further increases the well of Vital Energy and Mana of the owner.

  At C-Rank, the owner is more resilient to Status Alteration and can Heal even more efficiently.

  _Devouring Evolution: The owner now passively heals without the use of Energy.

  Authority: Vital Mana D

  This Skill denotes the Authority of the owner over the use and creation of Vital Mana.

  It automatically fuses together Vital Energy and Mana within the owner and thanks to Unique Skill “Singularity”, the Efficiency of said fusion is set to a minimum of 100% while the process itself is instantaneos and passive.

  It allows the owner to feel Vital Energy, Mana and Vital Mana around them in a Range equal to the Grade twice multiplied depending on Rank .

  This Skill can be used to boost an object with Vital Mana to Shape an existing Spell within it, power depending on the Rank of this Skill and the Rank of the Sorcery Skill in question.

  This Skill can be used to make independent Shapes out of Vital Mana, depending on this Skill, Control and the Affinity of the owner towards the chosen Attribute; they are transparent except for their outline and can be manipulated freely.

  At D-Rank, the Quality of Vital Energy and Mana is increased further.

  _Devouring Evolution: The owner can make a maximum number of Self equal to the owner’s Grade, each one of them has all the Skill of the owner at E-Rank; Additionally, all other Shapes made from this Skill inherit one Skill of the owner at E-Rank;

  _Devouring Evolution: The owner’s Vital Energy and Mana Quality, Quantity and Recovery is increased even further and she can now manifest her highest Affinity, the No Attribute one in this case, in the area around her.

  Familiar Summoning C

  This Skill denotes the ability of the owner to fight with Summoned Familiars, made with Mana or otherwise.

  In this case, the number of Maximum Familiar is negated because of the owner being a Lunarian, so long as all Familiars are made by the Lunarian Skill, even if they still require Vital Energy and Mana to be Summoned.

  Additionally the growth of all Familiars is increased.

  At D-Rank, the Familiars can increase in Rank when it comes to Skills, up to the Rank of this Skill [C-Rank].

  At C-Rank, the Familiars can increase in its own Rank, up to 1 Rank lower than this Skill’s [D-Rank].

  _Devouring Evolution: The owner of this Skill has the Effect of the Skill “Coordination” D when it comes to the owner’s Familiar.

  _Coordination D:

  __The owner is Linked to the “Coordination Link”.

  __All those in the Coordination Link no longer interfere with each other while Casting.

  __All those in the Coordination Link have their Existence Amped by x 1,03 [EV].

  This Skill denotes the authority of the owner over the use of Black Blood.

  It automatically fuses the Blood and Shadow of the user, rising the quality further and vastly strenghtening the owner’s EP and EV and their Energy Quantity.

  Said Black Blood can transfer all kind of Energies from and to the owner or be turned into Energy, with the additional ability to boost an object or a Spell to beyond its limits by mixing in Black Blood.

  It also allows the owner to absorb the blood of others into themselves to convert it into Energy or, if the process is fatal or done on a corpse freshly killed, Magicules.

  This Skill can also store objects and non-living beings within the owner’s Black Blood.

  It allows the owner to Sense Blood, Shadow and Black Blood around them in a Range equal to the Grade twice multiplied depending on Rank.

  At D-Rank, the Quality of Black Blood as a Material is increased even further.

  Lunar Resistance C

  This Skill denoted the ability of the owner to comfortably live in an actively hostile territory with no effort.

  This Skill also increases the owner’s Damage Resistance and Status Alteration Resistance.

  At D-Rank, the owner can decide on up to two Damage Types to increase their Resistance to, for up to 12 Hours and with a Cooldown of 12 Hours.

  At C-Rank, the first time every day that the owner of this Skill would die, they are instead completely healed, any Status Alteration on the owner and any Cooldown on them is immediately negated.

  {Cooldown 12 Hours [7 Hours].}

  _Devouring Evolution: The owner is even more Resistant to Physical, Lightning-, Water-, Curse-Attribute Damage and Status Alterations.

  _Devouring Evolution: If the owner recieves no Damage from an attack, their Existence increases with a Buff.

  Unleash Aura C

  This Skill shows the ability and degree of the owner to Unleash their Aura.

  At D-Rank the owner can imbue their Aura in every single one of their Melee attacks when the Aura is not Unleashed at the cost of some Energy.

  At C-Rank the owner can imbue their Aura in every single one of their Arts, Technique and Spells attacks when the Aura is not Unleashed at the cost of some Energy, being considered as Melee Hits when it comes to additional effects from this Skill.

  Unleashed Aura:

  _The owner’s Existence Value is greatly Amped.

  _Every single Melee Hits from the owner will inflict extra True Damage and Knockback.

  _At D-Rank the owner’s Spells and Arts are considered as Melee Hits when it comes to additional effects from this Skill.

  _At C-Rank the owner’s Aura is vastly easier to manipulate, generate and sustain.

  _At any time the owner can deactivate this Aura to inflict Damage to all Enemies in a Range.

  _It is further altered depending on the owner’s other Skills and, in this case, the owner’s Familiars.

  Presence: Charm D

  This Skill shows the natural ability of the owner to use Vital Mana to cause the Status Effect “Charmed” in everything within a Range equal to the owner’s Grade multiplied depending on Rank [6 * 3m = 18m].

  At D-Rank, the owner’s Curse-Attribute Affinity is increased.

  Enhancement: Senses E

  Increases the Potency and Range of every single one of the owner’s Senses by 10%.

  Enhancement: Status Alteration D

  Increase the Potency of all Status Alteration Casted by the owner by 30%.

  At D-Rank, the owner’s Curse-Attribute Affinity is increased.

  _Devouring Evolution: At the cost of Vital Mana, the owner can sent a wave of Energy that will Increase the Status Alteration of any nearby (30 meters) Enemy, Cooldown: 60 seconds.

  Ability:

  No-Attribute Sorcery C

  This Skill denotes the ease and ability with which the owner can uses No Attribute Sorcery, it also increases the owner’s No Attribute Affinity and the Power of No Attribute Sorceries.

  No Attribute Sorcery is based upon the use of Mana untainted by any attribute within the owner’s body and without any chant, magical circle or other similar ways based entirely on the owner’s willpower.

  At D-Rank this Skill increases the ease with which the owner can manipolate Mana.

  At C-Rank this Skill increases the owner’s No Attribute Affinity again.

  Artifact Mastery D

  The power of all Artifacts Attuned to the owner is increased slightly.

  At D-Rank, the owner’s “Unique Arma” and Shapes made by the owner are both considered as Artifacts Attuned to the owner.

  Meditation B

  This Skill normally lowers the time needed to sleep however a Lunarian has no need for that and, as such, this Skill instead increases the Recovery of all Energy of the owner.

  At D-Rank, the owner can now enter in Deep Meditation.

  At C-Rank, this Skill increases the owner’s control over their Energy and Boosts the effects of Deep Meditation.

  At B-Rank, this Skill increases Essence, Vital Energy and Mana and Boosts the effects of [Deep Meditation] once again.

  Deep Meditation:

  _While in Active Meditation, the user becomes more Resistant to Status Alterations.

  _While in Active Meditation, the user’s Energy and Essence Recovery increases.

  _To activate it, 1000 seconds of Meditation is the base Activation Time required and thanks to “High-Speed Processing” C, it is divided by 1,5. {667 seconds}

  _Thanks to “High-Speed Processing” C, [Deep Meditation]’s Activation Time is 1,5 times faster.

  _Because of “Parallel Processing” C and “High-Speed Processing” C, it is possible to mantain a permament [Deep Meditation] without the use of any Process.

  Presence Suppression C

  This Skill shows the degree of the owner’s ability to hide one’s own presence.

  Thanks to Singularity, all form of Energy within the owner is passively hidden.

  At D-Rank, the owner’s Presence Suppression is spread also to their Weapons and Familiars.

  At C-Rank, the owner’s Hidden Attacks (Spells and Arts included) deal more Damage. {x1,5}

  _Devouring Evolution: While outside of Combat, the owner is even harder to Sense.

  High-Speed Processing C

  This Skill speeds up the perception of the owner.

  At D-Rank, this Skill is applied also to the owner’s Familiars and other Processing-Type Skills.

  At C-Rank, this Skill increases the Potency of the owner’s Processing. {x1,5}

  Parallel Processing C

  This Skill shows the ability of the owner to process information through multiple thoughts at once.

  At this Rank, it allows 5 extra Processing.

  At D-Rank, this Skill increases the Control of the owner on Energy.

  At C-Rank, this Skill increases the Potency of the owner’s Processing. {x1,5}

  No-Attribute Magecraft E

  This Skill denotes the ease and ability with which the owner can uses No Attribute Magecraft, it also increases the owner’s No Attribute Affinity and the Power of No Attribute Magecraft.

  No Attribute Magecraft is based upon the use of Magic Circles or Chants to, through Mana, Manifest a phenomenon upon the World.

  Formalcraft E

  A Skill that denotes the ability to modify the price and result of Magecraft, depending on Mana Control.

  This Skill additionally increases the owner Mana Well and Mana Control.

  Crafting C

  A Skill that increases the Quality of every single Item Crafted by the owner.

  Thanks to “Authority: Black Blood” and “Authority: Vital Mana”, Spells and Shapes Casted using either Black Blood or Vital Mana are influenced by all relevant Crafting-Type Skills as if they are a Crafted Item while the Quality of the Black Blood and Vital Mana themselves are passively increased.

  At D-Rank, the Items, Spells and Shapes Created from the owner require less Energy and Materials to be made.

  At C-Rank, the Artifacts made by the owner obtain an additional, compatible effect.

  True Calamity Eternal Mastery D

  The ability to manifest the owner’s true nature, in that case it being a perpetual disaster in humanoid shape, in a superior fighting style Unique to them thanks to their mastery over all forms of combat, creating and allowing full access to Arts based on Unique Skills and increasing the Potency of all Arts of the owner.

  This Skill absorbs all other Ability Skills related to weapons and non-Magical combat in general in itself, being strenghtened for each.

  This Skill greatly increases the owner’s Vital Energy and Mana Quantity and Recovery, the Potency of Arts, Spells and Crafts related to Weapons and the Existence and Essence of the owner, while decreasing the Cost of all Arts of the owner.

  Finally the owner of this Skill will find themselves able to fight at full power, independently of their situation and any Status Alteration on them, positive or negative.

  At D-Rank the owner’s Grade increases the base EP, EP multi and EP Recovery of the owner.

  Bladesmithing E

  This Skill denotes the ability of the owner to make Weapons in general, increasing their Potency by 1%.

  Blacksmithing E

  This Skill denotes the ability of the owner to make Armors in general, increasing their Potency by 1%.

  Oath Making D

  Increase the Potency of all Oaths on the owner by 30%.

  Expands all of the owner’s Oaths once.

  Divine Power E

  Allows Authority-based Manipulation of things the owner can feel.

  Additionally also enhances the owner’s base EP and EV.

  Counterspell E

  The Ability of the owner to not only disrupt a Spell but also to incite a backlash on its Caster, so long as this last one can be Sensed, by spending Vital Mana.

  Additionally because of the Innate Skill “Authority: Black Blood” the efficiency is further enhanced to 107%.

  The final gain of Magicules is 100 plus the Magicules absorbed by the victim, all of it increased to 107% or 100 plus the Magicules absorbed by the victim lowered to 7% if “Devouring Evolution” is Activated.
