(Today, April 4, is Yorktown's actual Birthday. So I was going to get a chapter out sooner about Alicorn and Yorktown, but I saw her birthday was coming up. So I wanted until today.)
(This is a cannon chapter and is apart of the story line.)
Alicorn is sitting in her room at a window. She's looking up to the deep dark blue sky, with a longing look in her eyes. She reaches her hand out the window and up to the sky, she stands up and leans out the window to the sky.
A knock is heard at Alicorn's door and she swiftly backs away from the window and brings her hand to her ft chest. She turns around and goes over to the door and opens it.
"Hello, Alicorn!" Team Destroyers greets.
"Hello, Team Destroyers." Alicorn greets back and she notices the gifts in the four children's hands. "What's with the gifts?"
"OH, you don't know?" Kalk asks as she fps her arms.
"It's Miss Yorktown's birthday!" Belchan informs with a big smile.
"And we're all going and see if you are coming." Echo says.
"Hobby wants you to come!" She says. "Everyone's already gathered in the Chow-hall with Yorktown already!"
Alicorn hums in thought. "I'll be there in a few minutes."
"Right." The four kids nod and Alicorn shuts the door.
Alicorn walks over to her bed and kneels down. Alicorn reaches under the bed and feels around for something and a few seconds ter she pulls out a neatly wrapped gift. It has a yellow bow with a name tag attached.
Alicorn sets the present on her bed and she adjusts her dress and tiara. She then picks up the present and leaves her room and heads down the empty hallways.
'It's been a few weeks since the Arsenal Bird incident. People's moods have mostly returned to normal and everything is back to full operations as it should be. Though people have spotted the Arsenal Bird during patrols and most come back injured after trying to get away from it. Only a few humans have died since the Main incident. Nothing really new has happened at base other than Clevend won't leave me alone anytime she sees me. It's really annoying, I like being alone, but it's like she has a duty to talk to me. ... Even if I sometimes enjoy it.'
"Alicorn!" Clevend calls out.
'As the humans say, "Speak of the Devil."' Alicorn looks to the entrance and sees Clevend, wearing a dress.
"Miss Clevend." Alicorn greets with a small bow.
"Oh, how many times have I told you not to have such formalities with me?" Clevend says.
"56 times." Alicorn states.
Clevend sweats a little. "It was a rhetorical question."
Alicorn reaches the entrance and Clevend. "Then you shouldn't have asked it." She looks Clevend up and down. "What's with the dress."
Clevend blushes a little. "Well, since it's a big day, I thought I'd have an excuse to wear this for once."
"Hmm, I thought you would wear a suit then, since the way you act and all."
Clevend frowns a little. "I don't like wearing suits!"
Alicorn just hums and leaves the building and Clevend follows her.
"But why the nice dress, it's just a birthday." Alicorn states.
"But it's Miss Yorktown's Birthday!" Clevend states. "She's like the mother to practically everyone here, and she was super strong too. You know, till the-"
"Yes, the massive Siren attack on her and the people she was with. I was there."
"Oh, right. But still, Birthday's are to be celebrated. Do you not celebrate your own?"
Alicorn comes to a stop.
The sound of flesh tearing rings in Alicorn's head. "I still love you." Erik's voice rings out in her head.
"Let's burn this world together my, Imouto." Purifier's voice rings out.
"Alicorn?" Clevend calls out and Alicorn snaps out of her daydream and looks at the ship. "You okay?"
Alicorn just walks past the girl. "Don't worry about it."
Clevend gains a look of worry and follows after Alicorn. "If something's wrong you can tell me."
"Nothing's wrong."
"I'm here as your friend Alicorn." Clevend smiles.
"I don't have friends, nor do I have a need for them." Alicorn states with her emotionless frown unmoving.
Clevend frowns a little. "Oh, okay."
It's silent as the two keep walking, heels ccking against the cement ground. Clevend notices that Alicorn is holding a present. "OH, you got a present for Yorktown? That's nice."
"As for all her hard work, I think that she deserves a reward." Alicorn states.
Clevend chuckles to herself. "Just admit it, you see her as a mother and you wanted to give her a nice gift." Alicorn gres at her. Siren yellow eyes boring into Clevend, making the girl swiftly shut up.
"Never assume anything about me."
"U-Uh, S-Sure."
The two reach the chowhall and find it packed with ships girls and a few soldiers. Commander Sicilia is sweating and panicking a little as she moves around the room and checking to see if people are having a good time.
Commander Sicilia then notices the two ships enter and she moves over to them. "Clevend, I'm so g-gd you made it. Oh, and A-Alicorn too. I didn't e-expect y-you here, if I'm being honest."
"This is a one time thing." Alicorn states as she makes her way over to Yorktown.
People take a few steps away from her as she walks past them, giving the Siren Hybrid a gre. Alicorn then reaches where Yorktown is sitting with her siblings.
"Yorktown." Alicorn greets and said girl turns away from her siblings and smiles.
"Oh, Alicorn, it's so nice to see you!" Yorktown greets with a smile.
Hornet just Alicorn a wave. "What's up." She greets the siren girl.
Enterprise just nods to Alicorn.
Alicorn holds out her present to Yorktown. "I made you something."
Yorktown grabs the gift and looks at it. "Oh, that's so nice of you." She looks at the tag and reads it.
To MotherFrom: Alicorn
Yorktown smiles as she reads it. "I can't wait to open it." She sets it to a rge pile of gifts next to her.
"Right." Alicorn then turns around and begins to walk away.
"Alicorn, will you stay and at least have some cake?"
Alicorn stops and doesn't respond right away. "... Fine." She then walks away.
"She kinda creeps me out." Hornet states.
Yorktown gives her youngest sister a small gre. "Hornet!"
"Just saying." Hornet looks at Enterprise. "What about you Enterprise."
"...After working with her these past few weeks, I have no positive nor negative opinion of her." Enterprise says.
"I should've guessed you'd say that."
After everyone sings Happy Birthday and eats their cake, it's finally present time. After opening a few presents Yorktown grabs Alicorn's present. Said girl is watching from a dark corner of the room, nearest to the door.
Yorktown unwraps the gift and comes to a box. She carefully opens the box up and her eyes lighten up and she smiles.
"What is it, Yorktown?" A ship calls out.
Yorktown closes the box. "Oh, don't worry about it. I'm sure the person doesn't want people to see."
"Awww, what if it's better than mine?" A ship says in worry.
Yorktown looks around the room, trying to find Alicorn, only to see her daughter leave the cafeteria.
Later that night.
Yorktown is sitting on her bed and she has the box on her p. She opens it up and pulls out the object within. The present that Alicorn got her was two plushies holding hands together. One plushie is a chibi smiling Yorktown and the other is a chibi Alicorn with an emotionless frown. The two chibi's are holding hands.
Yorktown smiles and hugs the plushies to her chest tightly. "Thank you Alicorn, I love it."
A knock is heard at her door.
"Come in." Yorktown calls out.
The door opens and Alicorn walks in, with a cart of food. "Hello, Yorktown."
Yorktown's eye brighten and she smiles. "Alicorn, thank you for the gift. But what brings you here?"
Alicorn closes the door and brings the cart over to Yorktown and she sits in a chair next to the crippled ship girl's bed. Then Alicorn grabs a pte of food and a fork. She grabs some food and holds it to Yorktown.
"Say nothing of this." Alicorn says as she holds the food up.
Yorktown smiles and opens her mouth and Alicorn feeds her.
"This is just a thank you gift." Alicorn states. "Nothing more and nothing less."
Yorktown just nods and Alicorn keeps feeding her.
