New Year Update - 2026

  Hey everyone,

Happy New Year and welcome to 2026!

Last year wrapped up Arc 1 completely and finished the full run of Arc 2, and I’ve got a bunch of plans and updates lined up for this year. So let’s dive in.

First up, Minus One Arc 3 drops tomorrow,January 2nd

As I mentioned in the anniversary post, the first four chapters will be released 12 hours apart. Most of the illustrations are done now, and honestly, I’m glad I cut down the number of them; doing more would’ve been rough. It’s also wild to think it’s been a year since I first started adding illustrations. They’re still AI for now, but hopefully that changes in the future.

Next, remember that mini arc I teased? I can confidently say it’s coming in November 2026

  It’ll be Interlude 1

Now onto Arc 4. It officially has a name: Festival Arc

I mentioned before that Minus One would be going on break after Arc 3, and Arc 4 is the reason why. Since it covers the cultural festival that’s been hinted at since Arc 1, I really want to take my time with it and do it properly. The current plan is still a 2027 release window

Part of the reason Arc 4 is on hold is because of the other projects I’ve been working on, so here’s an update there:

Unauthorized usage: this narrative is on Amazon without the author's consent. Report any sightings.

One of the books I talked about earlier, the smaller, faster-release one, is officially cancelled. I wasn’t fully attached to the story, even though I loved the world and especially one character (she was honestly the whole reason I wanted to write it). On top of that, writing two big projects already takes a lot of time, so adding another just wasn’t realistic. Maybe someday I’ll revisit it or bring that character into another story.

Now for the big one: Project DawnThis is the main reason Minus One is paused. I started writing it in May and originally planned to stop after Arc 1 but here I am now writing Arc 4 instead. After thinking about it, Arc 4 just felt like the best stopping point before coming back to Minus One.

Project Dawn mixes fantasy, sci-fi, action, and adventure. It takes place on The Great Continent and follows Aria Greystone as she tries to uncover the mystery behind a strange weapon and how it’s connected to her.

In terms of worldbuilding, this is probably the deepest and most detailed thing I’ve ever worked on. I’m still only on the first draft, and I’m planning four drafts total. Right now, it’s not set to release in 2026. I’m loosely aiming for 2027, but with over 150 chapters across the first four arcs, that may still shift.

Before I wrap up, I’m also a lot more active online now.

I’ve started posting more regularly on Instagram, Twitter, Bluesky and Pinterest, and I now also have a TikTok page for updates, teasers and fun extras. If you want to follow along or support there, too, I’d really appreciate it!

So yeah, lots going on. Here’s a quick recap:

  • January 2nd, 2026
  • November 2026
  • 2027?
  • 2027?

That’s everything for now. Thanks so much for sticking with me. I really appreciate all the support. Time for me to crawl back into the writing cave.

Have an awesome new year and see you soon!
