Excerpt 2
Being a Paladin was not all grand adventures and mighty battles. His days of helping those in need cross the desert behind him, our young hero found himself endorsed by higher powers.
This new honour saw him board a mighty seafaring vessel and set out for new shores and new quests.
But the ocean is vast and the Paladin soon found himself weary of the journey. His blade sharpened, his armour polished, he sat amongst his followers with naught to do but meditate and practise his techniques.
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
He was grateful for his new mission, proud at the chance to deal with heathens further afield, but those long nights led him to ask many an unnerving question; “Oh God, in your divine wisdom, help me understand a fraction of your plan for us. Why must I take the lives of some in order to save the souls of others?”
Alas, no answer was forthcoming to the Paladin on those long nights far from the desert.
