A knock came from the door suddenly, Firal ignoring it with Xania doing the same after a few seconds of confusion.
Anise stared at the door before pointing at it, “Shouldn't you get that?”
“No need.”
“You sure?”
“Yeah, it's just someone coming here to inform me of the results of my brother's trial.” She said without giving any care about it.
“Brother?” Anise asked, remembering how she has many siblings.
“The mutual one that we all know.”
“Dragrove?” Xania being the one to ask this time.
“Yeah, being a demonic dragon is a shame and he's the chief's son and not just a normal dragon as this matter is honestly much bigger than usual.”
Xania paused, not knowing why being the chief's son would grant him a harsher punishment “What'll happen to him?”
“Probably imprisonment or death,” She said, continuing to speak in a non-caring tone.
“Don't you care?”
“Not really, him being alive or dying doesn't really affect me.”
“Well, bye, I do still have to help him since I forced him into a contract before.” Xania stood up and stretched before waving to Firal and walking out with Anise following, closing the door for her again.
“Let’s get going,” Xania said, using the connection they have due to their contract to find Dragrove, finding him in the island itself.
“There's space left in this island?”
“They probably used spatial magic,” Anise teleported them into the island where they began to fall before catching themselves with their wings.
Xania looked around the area, finding luxurious mansions along with an upside down volcano in the center of the space, “Nice.”
“Hey, we have a kingdom too so why does our kingdom have the least aesthetics?”
“Because, the houses all look random,” Anise said, remembering how each house is suited to different species or different demons, requiring them all to have different colours, shapes and appearance to suit their requirements and preferences.
“Dammit.”
Xania sighed before pointing at a building with many pillars around its entrance and shields where Dragrove’s presence was strongest, “There. Dragrove is there.” She said before teleporting the both of them in front of it.
“Wait, my lord. How do you intend to save him without making our relationship worse? It would be more beneficial to let him die wouldn't it?”
“Anise, even though I did force the contract, I'm still responsible for this, I'm not going to let him die for this.”
Xania walked up to the building, 2 guards attempting to stop her but being subdued with ease from Xania by being choked.

“...”
Anise sighed, following Xania “Screw it, if you're gonna do this regardless then I'll just help you.”
“Thanks,” Xania said, breaking the shields blocking the entrance as alarms started to sound and a thick metal wall closing the entrance up.
“Annoying,” Xania prepared to destroy the wall before being stopped by Anise.
“My lord, that's mana proof.”
“Oh? Well, in that case…” Xania dispersed her attack, preparing another imbued with divinity, sending the wall flying, knocking the massive doors down at the same time.
“Done.”
Xania continued through as attacks were suddenly sent at her, being blocked with shields made by Anise.
Xania attacked the dragons who attacked her before turning to Anise “They wouldn't hurt me, there's no need for you to do that.”
“Protecting you is my current priority so I'll do it to be safe.”
Xania stared at her for a few more moments before continuing on, finding herself in a hallway stretching from her left to right with another 5 massive doors, each leading to their own room.
“Which is Dragrove in?” Anise asked, preparing a couple of attacks as shields appeared around each door.
“This,” Xania said, walking to the center door, placing her hand on it as she poured mana into it, causing it to blow up before kicking the door, sending it flying in.
Xania entered as she glanced about, ignoring the guards and the judge who had prepared attacks before smirking “There you are.”
“Are you crazy?!” Dragrove shouted, his hands cuffed with mana proof cuffs.
“Came to retrieve a slave.”
An attack was sent at Xania as Anise blocked it, “what are you all doing?! Attack!” The judge shouted as Xania was barraged by attacks from all sides.
“Pest…” she muttered, taking her scythe as she held her scythe facing her back before swinging it 360 degrees, sending a wave of mana all around, breaking the guards and judge’s shields, injuring the guards severely but only giving the judge minor injuries.
Panicked footsteps were heard from the entrance as everybody turned around, finding Firal there.
“Are you crazy?!” She shouted.
“Wow, they are indeed siblings.” Xania joked slightly, earning her a look of disapproval from Anise.
Firal ran up to Xania, “What the hell are you doing here?!”
“Helping him? I already told you, didn't I?”
“I thought you were joking!”
“Relax, didn't you say that it was a winner's right or whatever if I beat them?”
Firal stared at Xania in disbelief before taking a deep breath.
“That's only if you're a dragon! Since you're obviously not one, this is an attack! A goddamn declaration of war! And he's a criminal. You're not earning anything here!”
Xania turned to Anise who confirmed it with a nod.
“Why didn't you tell me?”
“Would you have listened?”
“Well…”
“Then it would just be a waste of my effort.”
More footsteps were heard from the entrance where the chief and his guards were standing, the chief looking like he was about to explode.
“Guards, capture her!” He shouted, attacking Xania and Anise immediately.
“Shame,” Xania attacked back with Anise protecting her before the chief transformed into his dragon form, sending a beam at Anise’s shield while slowly approaching, his guards still attacking from the sides.
“My lord, I can't maintain this for long!”
“Tsk… take your shield down, I'll deal with this.
“You sure?”
“Yea.”
Xania immediately sent a beam of dark mana at the chief as the. Shield went down.
“Anise, sorry for this.”
“Huh?”
Xania teleported Anise into her bracelet.
She brought the bracelet to her face before whispering into it, “Just deal with it for a few minutes, Kay?”
“Silence means consent,” Xania stared at the bracelet for a few seconds while defending herself with a shield and stopping her attack.
“Thanks for your consent.”
Xania stomped her foot with as much strength as possible, imbuing her body with mana and divinity, sending a shockwave around, causing the guards to stop their attacks and forcing the chief to temporarily stop his attack before he prepared another beam.
Xania prepared another beam in response, imbuing it with divinity, pushing his attack back as he started being pushed back into the entrance, causing the wall to break and fall onto him, stopping his attack.
“Demon lord! This will be the start of war between our nations!”
The two began to prepare another attack as Firal watched helplessly.
“Stop!” Dragrove ran in between them.
“What are you doing?” Xania asked, her attack and the chief's both prepared.
“I challenge the chief to a duel for his position!” Dragrove shouted. Surprise gasps coming from everybody in the room as the chief dispersed his attack and flared at him for a moment before speaking.
“Are you sure?” He asked in a stern tone.
“Yes,” Dragrove responded.
“Very well,” he reverted into his usual humanoid form before walking out, the guards all following, softly whispering to each other.
“Crazy!” Firal hot Dragrove on the back of his head.
