Chapter 81. Annoying.

“Shila, you know what they say? When in doubt… run!” Hilda ran away immediately, leaving Shila behind.

“You piece of crap! Wait for me!” Shila chased behind as the slime chased after with its minions.

“You piece of—” Shila shouted before Hilda teleported her into her arms.

  “Better,” she muttered in annoyance.

“Shila, buff me! Your field magic, I didn't agree to let you upgrade it for nothing!” Hilda shouted, glancing back to find the slime and its minions quickly gaining speed on them.

“Trait! Trait! Up my agility as much as you can!”

Shila immediately used Hilda's trait to speed them up while using her field magic to speed them up.

“Run there!” Shila shouted, unable to point due to being held backwards.

  “Where?!”

  “The lake!”

“Lake?” Hilda looked around, finding a lake of lava.

  “That's not a lake…”

“Just go!” Shila shouted, panicking as the minions attempted to bite her, nearly getting her hair.

“Easier said than done,” Hilda started teleporting as the slime kept getting closer.

  “I'm here! What now?!”

“No clue, try to push it in?”

“Push that thing in?” Hilda stared upwards as the slime prepared to crush her before teleporting away in time.

“Oh wait, you can teleport back into the system, right?” Hilda asked, confusing Shila.

  “Yea?”

  “Right, nice.”

Hilda held Shila above her head, attracting their attention before throwing her into the lake, causing the slime and its minions to follow before Shila teleported back into the system then to Hilda.

Hilda watched as the slime kept regenerating but the lava burned it faster than they could handle, “Guess they weren't that intelligent afterall.” She muttered before being hit on the head.

“I deserved that,” She turned around, rubbing her head as Shila stood there, crossing her arms.

“Hmph!” Shila pouted, teleporting back into the territory.

  “...”

  “My bad…”

Hilda watched as the slime kept slowly dying helplessly before going back to Litah and knocking on her shield.

  “No sound?”

“Litah! Litah!!!!” She shouted, annoying Litah as she removed the shield, allowing Hilda in.

She looked around Hilda before turning to her, “Where's the blue girl?”

  “Busy,” Hilda lied.

  “Why are you back here?”

“Why are you in a hurry to chase me out? Aren't we frien… friends somewhat?” Hilda hesitated, not knowing what to call their relationship.

“... Sure, now answer my question.”

  “I killed the slime!”

  “Huh? How?”

“I sent it into lava, it was so easy—”

“What the hell did you do?!” Litah grabbed Hilda’s shoulders and shook her with as much strength as she could muster.

  “hey!! I'm getting dizzy!”

“That slime can adapt to its environment!”

“What?” Hilda suddenly felt the ground trembling again as she turned around, finding a massive orange blob covering the shield as lava dipped from it, destroying the shield within seconds.

“Oh… I'm sorry. At least it can't get in?” Hilda said optimistically, turning back as she notices Litah's glare, finding the slime compressing itself before sending minions made of slime and lava at her.

“Really?” Hilda asked herself, contemplating her luck before getting snapped out of it as Litah made many layers of shields, delaying them.

“Don't even think about fighting and think of a way for us to run!”

“Alright, alright, chill a bit,” Hilda said, trying to communicate with Shila and getting a glare from Litah.

“Shila, Shila! I know you can hear me! Get out here right now!”

“No…” Shila's annoyed voice sounded out from the back of her head. “Just open up the territory and let Litah enter…. “

  “Oh yea, my bad.”

Hilda plunged her sword into the ground, opening up a small rift to the territory as she pulled Litah through, taking her sword with her as the rift closed, confusing the minions who just broke through the shields as they tried to find the two of them.

“Where is this?” Litah asked in confusion, laying down comfortably on the soft grass.

“My territory, get up, we have to look for Shila,” Hilda extended her hand to support Litha but got ignored as Litah kept enjoying herself on the grass.

“Seriously? It's not even that comfortable.”

“Hey! Compared to hard rocks in a cave, this is a massive upgrade.”

Hilda thought for a while before shifting, “guess so, let's get going.”

Hilda eventually found Shila laying down on the couch in their mansion as Litah tried to jump onto the couch but got stopped by Shila.

“No lying down until you shower,” she pointed to the toilet, “go.”

  “What?”

  “Go!”

Litah went away in confusion before Shila turned to Hilda.

“What? You look like you wanna ask me things?”

“Yeah, we're allowed to leave halfway in the middle of a floor?”

“Yeah, obviously, unless the floor specified that we couldn't. The cultist guy might have to wait a while but… who cares?”

“Oh and, you might wanna help her,” Shila pointed at the toilet's door which was wide open along with the sounds of things dropping as Hilda sighed and entered, finding Litah fooling around.

  “What are you doing?”

“Playing, what's this?” Litah grabbed a handful of water, splashing Hilda.

  “Water?”

“Water?” Litah copied Hilda in saying it.

  “Yea?”

“Oh, the territory I was in before didn't have any of this thing!”

“You don't know how to shower, do you?”

  “What's that?”

Hilda sighed again and sat Litah on a small plastic stool.

“Strip,” Hilda said monotonously as Litah quickly turned her head around.

  “What?”

  “Strip,” Hilda repeated.

  “Why?!”

“To shower, we gotta clean you up, god knows how dirty you are.”

Litah stared at Hilda for a moment before realising she was serious.

“Fine, but don't you try any funny business!”

  “I’m not into other women.”

  “So you're into guys?”

  “...”

“Hmm… wait… I have no clue…” Hilda fell into deep contemplation as Litah watched before Hilda gave up.

“Dammit! I don't care! If I like somebody then I like somebody, it doesn't matter! Now strip!”

Litah reluctantly complied, stripping herself as she hugged her legs close to her body, still uncomfortable with being naked for Hilda.

“I'll clean your back and you clean your front.” Hilda pumped out some soap and rubbed it on Litah's back.

“Now do the same for every part of your body and use this…” She took out some shampoo. “For your hair. The red container is for body, the yellow is for hair, got it?” Litah nodded quickly, splashing water on Hilda.

  “...”

  “Annoying.”
