  Lucian paled, and then he turned red and ran away. Not the reaction you were expecting. Both you and the clinic boy ran after Lucian. Could it be because he’s used to playing alone?

  “Hey Lucian! Wait up!" You shouted, barely being able to keep up with him.

  Finally, he stopped by the familiar lake, the one he took you to before. Lucian looked behind him and saw the clinic boy.

  “Hello, please don’t run away again. I want to be friends with you.”

  Lucian looked like he wasn’t breathing.

  “My name is Sal, and I know you; you’re Lucian,” he smiled. His light blonde hair looked almost white under the sunlight. His blue eyes twinkled as he smiled at Lucian. Sal extended his hand toward Lucian.

  They shook hands, as if Lucian had finally broken through the water surface. He let out a heavy sigh.
