  Ash leads his students towards a Bullhead, as Byzan runs up beside him.

  "Why do we have a mission with you, especially one assigned by Ozpin?" Byzan asks in concern.

  Ash stops and stares down at Byzan. "Well, the st time you and your team we're out in town, Ozpin had a call about a rge fire and a car chase, involving dozens of people dead."

  Maize, Ambré and Rose stare at Byzan with deadpan looks. Byzan gnces at his teammates and raises an eyebrow.

  "Don't look at me like that." Byzan's cat ears fold down.

  Ambré clicks her tongue and crosses her arms. "Maybe if someone wasn't such a-"

  "OKAY!" Rose grabs Ambré and drags her towards the Bullhead. "I think we should get going."

  "I agree." Maize follows after the two.

  Ash gnces at his cousins then to Byzan. "Seems like you got an interesting dynamic."

  Byzan sighs and slightly hunches over. "You could say that."

  Ash chuckles and pats Byzan's back. "Just don't fuck with them, or I'll have to rip your skull out of your head and beat you with it."

  Byzan stares at the Professor. "That's no Physically possible."

  Ash smiles. "That's what the st guy said." He walks towards the Bullhead, leaving a slightly frightened cat behind.

  "HUH?!"

  Byzan follows after the three cousins and Maize.

  A many hours go by and the team and Professor in down in Vale, walking though the streets. The setting sun start to shine onto the,

  "Well, everything just seems to lead to a dead end." Ambré grunts in frustration.

  "You need to be patient, Ambré." Ash calls out. "I know you want to find the White Fang, or something, but we can't rush this. We need to be careful."

  "We have been at this all day though." Rose points out as she rubs her eyes.

  "Let's get a hotel room and have you all get a little rest, while I do a little more digging." Ash stops the group in front of a hotel.

  "Rest, now?" Ambré asks.

  Ash looks at Ambré. "You're all not used to long missions, so I want you all to get some rest before we continue moving on."

  Ambré just crosses her arms and looks away. "Fine."

  Ash takes the team inside and pays for a hotel room as the moon starts to raise in the sky. Half an hour goes by and most of the team is asleep already. Ambré and Rose are sharing a bed, with Ambré loudly snoring and Rose hugging her sister from the side.

  Maize is sleeping on another bed. While Byzan is nowhere to be found. Ash is in another room typing away at a computer with a slightly annoyed look. But that swiftly turns into a smile.

  "Perfect!" Ash whispers as he taps a few times before shutting the ptop and pulling out his scroll.

  Ash walks into the next room, seeing the girls asleep, but grows confused as he doesn't see Byzan. Ash raises an eyebrow and walks over to the window and looks out of it, being on the fourth floor. He then sees Byzan sparring with his clone.

  Ash smirks as he heads out of the room.

  Outside Byzan sshes the throat of his clone and it disappears in purple smoke. Byzan takes a few deep breaths and wipes some sweat from his brow. He then tenses up as he hears cpping. Byzan gnces over to see Ash walk out of the back door to the hotel, unarmed.

  "That was some fancy sword py." Ash smirks and zily points with both hands using his pointer and middle fingers. "You're pretty good."

  Byzan looks Ash up and down as he remains on alert.

  "Why so cautious, Byzan?" Ash starts to walk around Byzan. "I'm unarmed."

  Byzan keeps facing Ash, with his weapon ready. "Even then you're dangerous. I know what you can do."

  Ash stops and chuckles. "I want to see how good you are, Nightshade."

  Ash goes into a CQC stance, making Byzan's eyes narrow as he recognizes it. He aims his weapon at Ash.

  "Come at me, no aura, no sembnce." Ash says. "Just a pin fight."

  "Why?" Byzan asks.

  "Like I said, I want to see how good you are, now... Hit me."

  Byzan and Ash start to circle each other, before Byzan unches himself at Ash. He swings his weapons towards his stomach, but Ash grabs Byzan right arm and twists it hard enough to force the cat to drop his weapon. Then Ash spins Byzan around and kicks the back of his knee, forcing him to the ground.

  "Sloppy." Ash lets go of Byzan, and the cat falls face first onto the ground. Ash kicks Byzan's weapon into the air and grabs it.

  Ash takes several steps away as Byzan grunts in frustration and stands up. Byzan looks for his weapon, just to find Ash tossing it off to the side and going back into a CQC stance. Byzan huffs in frustrations and wipes some dirt off his clothes and rubs the purple lipstick off.

  Byzan then goes into a very simir CQC stance to Ash, causing the soldier to smirk as he also recognizes it. Byzan then charges at Ash and goes for a light jab, but Ash just blocks it and grabs the cat's hand. Ash pulls Byzan forward and knees him in the stomach, before flipping him onto his back.

  Ash stares down at Byzan. "Not very good without your weapon or sembnce are you?"

  Byzan rolls himself over and jumps up. "I'm just a simple teen, going against a super soldier!"

  "Just a simple teen, eh?" Ash asks before charging forward, catching Byzan off guard.

  Ash throws a punch at Byzan, and he manages to push it away and slides back as another nearly hits him in the nose. Byzan takes a breath as Ash studies the Faunus up and down.

  "I recognize that stance." Ash stance as he lunges at Byzan again, and the cat moves back and avoids the hit again. "I won't ask you how or why you know, The Big Boss, but you should know." Ash kicks Byzan in the side, causing the cat to fall onto the ground. "You need to be careful around her, she's not as stable as she used to be."

  Byzan stands up, clutching at his side. "Why should I listen to you?"

  Ash shakes his head and walks back towards the hotel back entrance. "You don't have to, but in the end, Wolf is loyal to soldiers, not kids." He enters the building.

  Byzan coughs a couple times and rubs his left side. "...Dick..."

  An hour goes by and the team, plus their Professor, stand in the shadows across a street from a rge apartment building.

  "It looks abandoned." Maize observes.

  "Why are we here?" Ambré asks her older Cousin.

  "Well, I did some digging and this pce was recently bought by someone named Watts." Ash looks at his scroll.

  Byzan snaps towards Ash. 'Watts? ...Pink?' He grunts his teeth in anger. 'If she's here... I'll fucking kill that bitch.'

  "Byzan?" Rose calls out in worry.

  "Hmm, yes?" Byzan calms down and looks at her.

  "Are you okay? You seemed a little angry."

  Byzan smiles at Rose. "I'm fine, trust me."

  "...If you say so."

  Ash takes his ōdachi off his back and changes it into a rge red gun.

  "Let's move quietly and swiftly." Ash runs across the street and the students take their weapons out and follow.

  The group enters the dark empty apartment building. Its only source of light is glowing lights on Ash's gun. He moves on and notices wires coming out of the different sections of the walls, but they all come together and seems to head up some stairs.

  "This is strange." Maize states as the group moves on, keeping their weapons trained on each open doorway they pass.

  "Let's follow these wires and see where they lead." Ash whispers as the group and they all nod.

  Ash and the gang slowly head up four flights of stairs and when they reach the fifth they see the many wires leading into a single room near the end of the hall. They silently make their way over to the room and Ash is the first to enter as he sweeps it.

  The kids enter the room and look around, noticing it's fairly rge. There are many crates around the room, with all the wires leading to one rge cylindrical container.

  Ash gnces at the students. "Search the room."

  "On it." Ambré, Rose and Maize responds, Byzan just nods.

  The team moves around the room, as Ash moves over to the cylindrical container.

  Ambré and Rose open up a rge crate, only to find fire dust.

  "That's a lot of fire dust." Rose says in worry.

  Maize opens up another crate and fines more fire dust. "Why is there so much?"

  Ash starts to try and open up the container.

  Byzan's amber eyes gnce around the room as his cat ears twitch. His eyes come across a rge bulletin board full of pictures. He tilts his head in confusion and walks over to it. Byzan stops a couple steps away from the board and looks it up and down, his eyes then widen.

  All the pictures are of Byzan with hearts drawn around him, and when any of the girls from his team are in the picture, their eyes have X's drawn on them. Byzan takes a step back as his fur stands on end. He then finds a picture with a rge heart drawn over it. It's a photo of a happy Byzan and Pink eating a sundae together.

  Byzan starts to back away from it. "Pink, she was here..."

  Byzan's cat ears start to twitch as he hears tiny beeping around the room.

  Ash manages to pry the cylindrical container and looks down at what's inside. All he sees is a rge red box with a timer on top it of, reading.

  Ash turns to the team. "GET DOWN!"

  "Huh?" The girls question.

  A bright light shines as everyone is thrown out of the room by several rge explosions. Byzan yelps in pain as his back sms against a wall as his purple aura covers him, his weapon goes flying and nds near Ambré

  Fire pours out from the room that the team was in as several other explosions go off under them, causing the building to shake and the hall to catch on fire. Byzan grunts in pain as he looks to the side, Maize is pushing herself off the ground, Rose walks out from another apartment room and Ambré is further down the hall.

  Byzan pushes himself up as the building shakes again as an explosion goes off behind him. Byzan nearly stumbles over from the force and coughs a couple times as his puts a hand over his right side. His aura covers him as smoke starts to fill the hall.

  "Ash!" Ambré shouts and tries to run into the room where they all were, but a rge wooden beam falls from the ceiling, blocking her path.

  Ambré grunts as she is forced to step back from the burning beam.

  Byzan looks over to Maize and notices a beam becoming lose above her. "Maize!"

  Byzan starts to run towards her, but the floor gives out beneath him. But he grabs onto the edge of the floor before he fully falls through.

  Maize rubs her head and looks up as the burning beam falls towards her. Maize yelps in surprise and catches the beam right before it hits her head, but she's now stuck, trying to hold it up.

  Rose gets her bearings as she coughs and her ice blue aura covers her. She looks around, noticing each of her teammates in trouble.

  "Rose, help them!" Ambré calls out to her as she uses her weapon and starts to hack at the burning beam, her aura covering her.

  Rose looks to her left seeing Maize and Byzan in trouble. With Maize just a couple meters away and Byzan further down the hall.

  "Rose..." Maize grunts. "Help me."

  Byzan tries to pull himself up, but the floor underneath his hands crack more. He's prioritizing having more aura over using his sembnce.

  Rose fully gets her bearings and makes her choice... She sprints past Maize, who's eyes widen in shock. Rose reaches Byzan and holds out her hand, a few burning pieces of wood his her back, but shes protected with her aura.

  "Byzz, grabs my hand!" Rose shouts.

  Byzan grunts and goes to grab her hand, but the floor underneath his hands gives away just as their finger brush together. Byzan stares up with wide eyes as he falls to the burning floor below him with a loud.

  Byzan grunts in pain and frustration.

  "Byzan!" Rose shouts in fear.

  Byzan grunts and props himself up and looks up at Rose. "Help the others, I'll be fine!"

  "But-!"

  "Rosie, trust me." Byzan gives her a smile.

  Rose stares at him for a few seconds as the building shakes again, before disappearing. Byzan starts to stand up, but an explosion goes off beside him, throwing him to the ground. Byzan coughs a couple times and freezes as the ground below him cracks.

  "Fuck..."

  The floor gives way and Byzan falls down onto the second floor and onto the top of a burning beam.

  "FUUCK!"

  Byzan yelps as he rolls off it and onto the ground. He grunts a couple times and holds onto his right side.

  "Today is just not your day, Byzantine..."

  Byzan rolls onto his back as his aura starts to fsh. His ears flicker a few times as his eyes move up above him and he sighs. A massive loose metal pipe falls out of the ceiling and Byzan brings up his hands and catches it.

  Byzan grunts as the pipe sms onto his hands, causing his aura to shatter. He bites his lip as his hands start to burn. He also starts to cough as some smoke starts to enter his lungs.

  Byzan lets out an angry yell and pushes the pipe off to the side and starts to stand up as he coughs. He looks down at his hands as the palms of his hands start to bleed. He clenches his burned hands and looks around in the smoke covered hallway as he covers his face with his arm.

  He stops a window at the other end of the hall, which causes him to roll his eyes. He makes his way down the hall as the building shakes and a couple explosions go off in the rooms next to him, causing him to fall over.

  Byzan coughs hard and tries to stand up, but his vision starts to blur. He shakes his head and stands up again as he can barely see and stand, but keeps moving towards the window. Only to step back as the floor above him crumbles down in front of him, blocking his path.

  Byzan falls to a knee as he coughs and as he can't breathe. But suddenly he falls someone grab him from behind and throw him back.

  The next thing Byzan knows is that he's staring up to the sky with the sun slowly starting to rise. He takes a few deep breaths and coughs several times.

  "Huh?" Byzan questions as he looks around in confusion as he props himself up with his elbows. "What... How?"

  Byzan gnces to the side and sees a red portal close with a woman standing in front of it.

  The woman's outfit consists of a V neck bck and red kimono top with a bck pleated skirt that has bck shorts underneath, with series of beaded neckces. She also wears a red obi sash around her waist alongside a red tasset wrapped around her waist that carries her weapon's sheath. Attached to it is a long bck object that is either fur or feathers, with a red and white bandana material like hanging from behind her.

  Her forearms bear red armored gauntlets that protrude outwards and bck fingerless gloves. She wore bck mid-thigh high boots, that had armor pting with red sptter patterns and bck heels.

  "Raven?" Byzan questions.

  Raven turns around and takes off her mask as her red eyes bore into Byzan's amber. "You're always getting into trouble, aren't you?"

  Byzan shrugs as he coughs a couple times. "What can I say, trouble loves me."

  Raven walks over to Byzan and kneels down to him, grabbing one of his bleeding hands. "Yeah, it sure does."

  Byzan pulls a hand back. "Woah, hey, take me out to dinner first!"

  Raven stands up and gres at Byzan. "Can you do nothing but flirt?"

  Byzan chuckles. "What can I say, I love complimenting and stuff."

  Raven turns away before sighing. "Byzz, you should come back. I can guarantee you a pce back at my camp, everyone will welcome you again."

  "You just want someone to keep your bed warm, and look all pretty for you, like a trophy"

  Raven grunts in frustration. "Will you take this seriously for once! You nearly just died and your still making jokes, I give you a chance to have a real home for once, but you just blow it off!"

  Byzan sighs as he sits up. "Raven, I can't leave this pce. I have too many friends to take care of. You have to understand."

  Raven grows a look of sadness. "Yeah... I guess I do." She then returns a neutral look and turns to Byzan. "Then you better also take care of yourself, and-" She points her katana at Byzan's neck. "Stay away from my daughter, or I'll kill you."

  "Kill me?" Byzan questions. "Heh, you said the same thing when I had you bent over your table and taking you from be-" He shuts up as Raven's katana touches his neck. "Okay, okay."

  Raven grows a small tint of red on her cheeks. Before she swings her katana to the side and a red portal appears. "We won't meet for a while, Byzz, so you better be safe."

  Byzan goes to speak but a loud explosion goes off on the south end of Vale, making him snap over to it. He grows confused as he sees smoke raise up from the explosion sighs, he looks over to where Raven was only to find her gone.

  Byzan sighs and suddenly he's hit with a wave of fatigue. He falls backwards and looks off to the morning sun. "I think... I'll take a small nap."

  Byzan's eyes slowly close and darkness takes up.

  Byzan's eyes open and he finds himself at the entrance of a snowy town. Byzan's eyes widen in recognition.

  "Gefroren?" Byzan questions as he starts to walk into the town.

  Byzan looks around as snow falls around him, but he doesn't feel cold. Everything is quiet and dark, no lights, no sound, nothing.

  "What's going on?"

  Byzan's eyes then see a light on in the window of a house. Then a female singing reaches his ears.

  "The Valian bridge is falling down~"

  "Pink?" Byzan questions as he walks towards the house.

  "The Valian bridge is falling down~ Falling down."

  Byzan reaches the house and looks at it. It's a simple two story house with grey siding.

  "It's her house..." Byzan mutters as he opens the door and finds the source of the singing, as it's coming from upstairs.

  "The Valian bridge is falling down."

  Byzan slowly heads up the stairs and comes to a door with light shining from under it.

  "My. Fair. Lady."

  Byzan pushes the door opens and finds Pink kneeling on the ground with her back towards him. Byzan grows extremely confused before he narrows his eyes at the girl.

  "Pink?"

  Pink freezes and the light nearby flickers for a few seconds, before going dark. Then it turns back on and Pink is gone. Byzan enters the room and looks around for her, only for the light to turn off again, his night vision isn't working.

  The light turns back on and Pink is lunging at him.

  "BYZAN!"

  ---

  Byzan shoots up and takes several deep breaths. He was ying on some seats with an IV drip hooked up to him, and his hands and chest are bandaged as he's not wearing a shirt.

  "Byzan!" Rose runs over, a red hand mark on her left cheek, and small bandages on her arms and hands.

  Byzan looks around and sees that he's in a Bullhead, with Ambré standing at the entrance of the cockpit, Maize is in the back of the Bullhead wit her arms crossed and a very unhappy look on her face. Her hands are all wrapped up.

  "Where... Where am I?" Byzan asks as Rose helps him sit up.

  "Where in a Bullhead on our way back to Beacon." Rose informs. "We found you a little while after we got out, tracked your scroll to the rooftop of a building. How did you get there?"

  Byzan smiles at Rose, slightly in pain. "Secret. But what's with the mark on your cheek."

  Rose just gnces over to Maize, who grits her teeth in anger. "Not important." A few tears prick at the corner of her eyes. "I'm so happy your okay."

  Byzan chuckles and pats Rose on the head. "I'm very hard to kill, Rosie." He gnces around again. "Where's Professor Ash?"

  Ambré looks back at him. "He's not dead if you're wondering. A rescue team found him and helped him out. After we had to help RWBY clean up their mess."

  "So he got out in one piece."

  "Not... persay."

  "Huh?"

  A couple hours go by and Byzan's ying in a hospital bed at the Beacon Infirmary. He watches as Glynda chews Ash, who's missing his entire left arm, in another room.

  Byzan leans back and takes a deep breath as he looks down at his bloody bandaged hands. He stares at them in disgust.

  "My perfect hands..."

  He hears a knock on the door and looks over to see Bke entering the room. Which makes Byzan confused.

  "Bke?" Byzan questions.

  Bke makes her way over to Byzan and stares down at him with a gre, before suddenly hugging him.

  "You idiot..." Bke mutters as she hugs her brother tightly.

  "Bke, what-?"

  "Just shut up..." Bke whispers and Byzan smirks and wraps an arm around her.

  The two remain in silence for several minutes.

  In the other room Glynda stomps out of it as Ash rubs his head. He looks down at his missing left arm.

  "Well, this will be a little annoying." Ash mutters and his scroll vibrates and he grabs it off a nearby table and reads the message. "Ironwood has Roman? ...And he's now in control of security..."

  Ash lets out a breath in frustration as he leans back on his bed.

  "Can this day get any worse?"

  On a roof top in Vale Cinder, Mercury, Emerald and Pink meet and stare up at Ironwood airship. Pink looks rather unhappy as she stares at her scroll.

  "All in all, I call today a success." Cinder smiles.

  "I didn't kill anyone in that fire, I only injured Ash." Pink whines. "And Byzan is still not mine!"

  "Those stupid kids really made a mess of things." Emerald compins.

  "Yeah." Mercury agrees with Emerald. "A lot of Faunus didn't make it out of the tunnels. You still think the White Fang's gonna listen to us?"

  A new voice speaks up. "No, but they'll listen to me."

  They all look over to see Adam Tarus and Lisa Leslie.

  Lisa is looks near Identical to Wolf, just younger looking. Her long red hair is tied into a pony tail, her green eyes burn with determination. She holds onto an assault rifle in her hands as she smirks up at the airship looming in the sky.

  "I'm coming for you, Byzan." Lisa gnces at Beacon.
