With a pop, the door opened.

  "Hello," I gawked.

  "Hi... Shady." Her mother talked.

  "Shady!" Zoe squealed, rushing forwards.

Zoe's mother stopped her from running out the doorward.

I nodded and directly at Zoe's mother, softly.

  Zoe pushed past her mother.

I smiled at the young kid, she was very loftly.

"Sorry to bother, ma'am, your daughter became friends with me."

Zoe's mother nodded, her expressions tightening.

  "It's enlightening."

I sat there looking at Zoe's mother, with Zoe in my arms.

  "I wasn't always a shadow."

"Just so you know, I sort of trust you."

  I knew.

Zoe giggled and gripped onto my hat.

"Come in, Shady, I'd like to chat."
