Dear Risa,
We made it to Innsnose! We kinda own the inn here for the next two weeks. There are thirteen days left before the planet explodes. This is where we need to be when that happens, sooo we’re stuck here! Yay us!
And no, no one knows where the town got its name. It just came into existence with this name, I guess. Maybe they saw a baby stick a finger in its nose and went “yep! That right there! Great name for a town!”.
Who knows.
Ok.
So.
Luke is panicking because he’s supposed to stop a tsunami, and he failed to stop a mini baby wave today.
Cali is panicking because all the animals from the mountains have moved down here, and the animals who already lived here are getting very territorial and killing them, and she has to stop that.
Echo is very worried about something but won't tell me what yet.
Maki is low-key freaking out because Echo isn't happy and he suspects it’s his fault.
And I’m here not acting stressed about anything because someone in this group has to have all their marbles, and no one else does.
I am being a good girlfriend, sister, cousin, and friend for everyone. I listen and encourage and tell them all it’s going to be ok. That’s what they all need, and I am on their side no matter what.

Risa. I’m about to explode.
Everyone just needs to calm down and unwind, and I don't see that happening any time soon. With good reason! I can't deny they all have good reasons for being stressed out!
But I’d like them all to just…
Hmm.
I have a very bad idea. One you’d approve of, but might cause problems.
Different problems from the ones we’re facing right now, though, which would be a plus. It would definitely distract everyone from their current issues, which is my main goal right now…
The owner of the inn is a very relaxed, kind woman. I’m sure she’ll understand and help. Or at least, won't stop us.
I’ll let you know how it goes.
Regards,
Maeve Zee

Luke stared out the bedroom window at the dark ocean. He could feel the crashing of the waves in his soul. They were as constant as they were inevitable.
And he had to stop them.
No, not them. He just had to stop one wave. One giant, enormous wave that could probably kill everyone on the whole coast.
His claws dug into the window frame as his tail thrashed. This was a stupid plan. He hated this plan. He didn't want any part of this plan. Why did he have to be the one to stop the tsunami? Why couldn't it have been someone with actual experience stopping waves?
A knock, and the door opened. Maeve walked in, her face grim. He looked grimly back.
She held out a glass. “Here. Drink.”
Luke took the cup. “What is it?”
“About three-fourths chocolate milk, and the rest is vodka.”
His mind blanked. He looked into the glass. “Alcohol?”
“Yes.”
He wasn't too sure about it, but he trusted her. Luke sat down and took a drink.
