77 - Field Trip Fiasco Mascot Mayhem and Movie Mystery

  Spring was in full bloom.

The schools in Riverdale, following the Education Department's field trip program, began their outings.

Today, it was Riverdale Elementary School's turn to visit Starlight Amusement Park.

A dozen buses slowly made their way down the road, filled with excited students.

The kids were rowdy, some yelling from their seats, their shrill voices piercingly loud.

Others ran up and down the aisles of the buses.

The teachers were at their wits' end, their voices hoarse from shouting.

"Okay, kids, Starlight Amusement Park is here! Line up and get off the bus!"

The buses stopped outside the Starlight Amusement Park, and the teachers began to organize the students as they disembarked.

Jake had prepared everything in advance.

He'd even hired actors to dress up as mascots to interact with the kids at the entrance.

But the mascots were generic – tigers, lions, that kind of thing.

It wasn’t that Jake didn't want famous characters; he just didn’t want to get sued for copyright infringement!

The children looked confused by the mascots.

  They started to complain.

"Teacher, where's Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck?"

"I don't want these, I want Big Bear and Second Bear!"

  "This isn't fun!"

The teachers, sweating, knelt down and tried to explain.

"Kids, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Big Bear, and Second Bear are from Steiny Amusement Park and Kidtopia. Starlight Amusement Park doesn't have them!"

  "Teacher, why not?"

"If you don't have it, can’t you just buy it?"

"Yeah, yeah, I want Big Bear and Second Bear! I don't want these mascots!"

"We don't have them, that's why!" The teachers were swamped with questions.

The children didn't understand copyright, and one was crying for Big Bear and Second Bear.

Unauthorized content usage: if you discover this narrative on Amazon, report the violation.

It took a huge effort to calm them down.

  The teachers grumbled to themselves.

What were those people on the evaluation team thinking?

Why choose Starlight Amusement Park, which nobody has heard of, out of all the amusement parks?!

If they'd chosen Steiny Amusement Park or Kidtopia, none of this would have happened!

It would be less work, and the kids would be happy!

  *Click!*

Just then, two people pretending to be tourists suddenly appeared. One was taking pictures with a camera, and the other was filming with a smartphone.

"Heh, I knew it! There must be something shady going on!"

"Yeah, look at these kids. They clearly want to go to Steiny Amusement Park and play with Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. We have the popular vote!"

"After we finish filming here, we'll go check out the rides in this park and find some faults. Then we can go home, compile the footage, write an article, and send it to the news!"

The two young men laughed as they filmed.

"Okay, everyone, enter the 6D theater by class! Those who are waiting can take out the snacks you brought from home and have a picnic!" The head teacher shouted through a megaphone.

Starlight Amusement Park's 6D theater could only accommodate 3-4 classes at a time.

There were 15 classes on the field trip, so they had to go in batches.

The other rides in Starlight Amusement Park weren't suitable for children, so they let the kids have a picnic nearby.

Fortunately, Starlight Amusement Park had plenty of open space for the kids to play!

After the teachers passed on the school's instructions, the kids went wild again!

A girl with pigtails cried, "Teacher, I don't want to watch a movie! I want to ride the carousel!"

"Teacher, can I ride the roller coaster?"

"Why is this the only thing we can do?"

The kids started to get restless.

The teachers were covered in sweat, their resentment towards the evaluation team growing deeper with each complaint.

In the end, the teachers used their authority to suppress the discontent.

  The kids pouted, clearly unhappy.

  "What great material!"

"I agree, I feel like we could change careers and become reporters."

"Hurry up, they're going into the theater, let's follow them and get some pictures of the kids making noise during the movie!"

The first group of children entered the Wonderland 6D theater.

The two undercover workers sneaked in.

Stepping into the theater, they were taken by surprise.

Instead of a movie screen and various equipment, there were only egg-shaped seats.

  "What is this?"

"Are you sure this is a theater?"

  They were both confused.

Steiny Amusement Park also had a 6D theater. As staff members, they had been inside countless times.

They knew the layout of the 6D theater very well.

But this was the first time they had seen a 6D theater with this layout.

The children and teachers were also confused.

"Aren't we supposed to be watching a movie? How are we supposed to watch a movie?"

  "Can someone explain this?"

If the sign next to them hadn't clearly said "6D Theater," they would have thought they were in the wrong place.

Mike walked to a platform in the middle of the theater and shouted through a megaphone.

"Everyone, just find a seat and sit down. It doesn't matter where you sit, everyone will have the same experience after the equipment starts."

The teachers began to guide the children to sit in the egg-shaped seats.

After everyone was seated, the teachers found some empty seats for themselves.

  "Let's sit down too!"

The two sneaky guys quickly followed and sat in empty chairs in the corner.

"Okay, we're about to start the machines, everyone please stay still!" Mike instructed, then activated all the egg-shaped seats.

Even then, the children didn't calm down and continued to make noise!

"Teacher, can we watch 'The Bears are Coming' instead of this 'Hero Versus Dragon'?"

"Yeah, I'm eight years old! I'm too old for the hero versus dragon!"

"Ultraman, I want to see Tiga!"

  The children's voices faded.

Not only because the closed seats had a bit of soundproofing, but also because some of the children had already entered the fairytale world.
