Yu Sui's eyes widened in surprise at what Mo Yan had suddenly done. He asked:
"Mo Yan! What have you done? It's so cold outside! We need the fire, or how will your body warm up?"
He sat down like a pouting child and began trying to light the fire again. He gently chided Mo Yan with soft words:
"There’s no hope for you, Mo. You take out your anger on the wrong things. Do you know how hard I worked to light that fire? And you extinguished it in one go."
But Mo Yan watched him with soft eyes. Then he sat beside him. Looking at him with his intimate gaze, he said:
"Yu. Whether a river flows from a mountain or a plain. Whether the river is big or small. Its destination is always one. And that is the ocean."
Yu Sui listened to his words; his eyes also became calm and gentle. He understood Mo Yan's meaning. He knew the depth of the emotions hidden in his words. Yu Sui looked at Mo Yan with a smile. And then, the atmosphere between them filled with an intimate energy. A warmth was felt. Their eyes became impatient to dissolve into each other.
Just then, Mo Yan leaned slightly forward. With a delicate push, Yu Sui fell backward. Mo Yan's eyes continuously watched Yu Sui's shining eyes, in which he saw himself reflected. Then he leaned down. Their lips met, like ice meeting fire. Their breaths grew heavy, like wind turning into a storm. Their souls could feel each other even with closed eyes.
Slowly, Mo Yan interlaced his fingers with Yu Sui's. They were not just close to each other; they had become a part of each other. Yu Sui couldn't help but cry, because Mo Yan's body told him that he didn't have much spiritual energy left. And this had happened because of him.
Then Yu Sui said softly, with tear-filled eyes:
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.
"Forgive me, Mo. If anything bad had happened to you, then Black Heaven would have won again. Because of me... only because of me this happened to you, Mo. If anything bad had happened today, I would never forgive myself."
Mo Yan gave him no reply, simply surrendering himself to him.
Apart from the two of them, everywhere was silence. The nearby embers slowly glowed. The nearby river flowed gently. And delicate flowers, bathed in the moonlight, were falling onto the soft surface of the water.
The next morning...
The morning was very calm and captivating. Birds chirped in their nests as usual. Golden sun rays were streaming in, like the relief after a great disaster, like the peace felt after a war.
Mo Yan woke up with a slight movement. He slowly got up, but his eyes opened completely when he saw that Yu Sui was not next to him. The spot beside him was empty. He quickly got up, stumbling and almost falling. He didn't even properly secure his robes. He forgot everything in his panic. He ran outside. His breathing and eyes, wide with shock, searched everywhere. But Yu Sui was nowhere to be seen.
His heart pounded loudly. He started sweating.
Just then, Yu Sui's voice came:
"What is it, Mo Yan? Did someone get lost?"
Mo Yan was startled by the sudden voice and looked around. Then Yu Sui called out again:
"Mo Yan. Over here. Look up. On the tree."
And when Mo Yan looked up at the tree, Yu Sui, the Patriarch of Black Heaven, was sitting on a tall guava tree, eating a guava.
Seeing him, Mo Yan took a long breath and calmly sat down on a nearby stone.
Yu Sui, with his familiar mischievous eyes, looked down at Mo Yan. He gently jumped down and landed right in front of him. Mo Yan watched him silently. Then Yu Sui, in a playful manner, gently lifted Mo Yan and said. He chuckled lightly:
"Mo Yan. Look at yourself. Did you forget to wear clothes?"
Yu Sui calmly adjusted his robes and gave him a guava to eat. Mo Yan, who had been watching only him the entire time, took the guava and sat back down to eat.
But the moment of peace did not last long. Suddenly, a red aura emerged, and Wuzu materialized from it. She bowed gracefully, first to Yu Sui, then to Mo Yan.
As Wuzu took one step forward, Mo Yan instantly cast a Mantra Seal and threw it directly at her. Wuzu immediately countered the attack. She stopped the blow with her protective shield. Seeing all this, Yu Sui was stunned; his guava fell from his hand.
Just as Mo Yan moved forward, preparing another spell seal, Yu Sui intervened. He blocked Mo Yan and said:
"Aaa..aa!! Mo Yan!! What are you doing? She is not an enemy. Calm down."
But Mo Yan looked at Yu Sui with red, burning eyes.
