  I woke up extremely early, knowing that today was going to be a long day of meditation and focus. I quickly meditated to regain my mystical abilities, and then jumped into making the next Field Provision Box for the shelter. Rex didn’t seem to like it, but I needed to get a major rush today, considering that eight hours were going to be busy with the Ley Line meditation. I rushed to get to the Shelter before sunrise, and was a bit brusque with the employee, apologizing as I left, saying that I was still dealing with the after effects of getting pummeled yesterday. It’s a bit of an exaggeration, but I still had a bit of recovery left, so it wasn’t a full lie.

  I made my way back to the Storage Unit and texted Jonathan that I would be recovering from the fight today, but that if there was an emergency, he should not hesitate to call me. Jonathan told me that he’d keep it in mind, and thanked me for the help I provided yesterday. I got to work getting aligned for the meditation to align myself with the Ley Line energy. It was going to be a grueling eight hour meditation, but it was going to be worth it. Rex volunteered to protect me and maintain contact with the outside world and only disturb me if I was truly needed.

  Saturday July 07, 2018, 7:30 PM Norfolk, VA

  Over the span of eight hours, I spent a large amount of focus and intent meditating on attuning myself and the Ley Line to match each other enough to allow me to utilize its energy to to supplement my own. The first hour was spent noting my own magical resonance, and how I currently had it as a part of me. After that first hour, I found that I had made some decent degree of progress. My knowledge of my own Arcanic field worked especially well for a starting point. I knew that I would need to work hard to get this whole attunement completed, even with this good starting point.

  Then I expanded my senses to the current of mystical energy running through this area, getting an understanding of this orange current linking this place to others. I spent an hour on it, and got an even better understanding of this energy flow than the one on Tahiti. Thinking back on Tahiti, I spent the next hour tracing my mind over the Ley Line’s path through the world, and where it heads on both sides, as well as the other Ley Lines coming into nearby areas. My knowledge of the geography of this world was not as vast as it could be, but it seemed sufficient for keeping the process going. I felt like I was doing well, but that I couldn’t get any more out of exploring the mental geography of these Ley Lines at the moment.

  Part of me thought that I had gotten more than half of the way done, and that I might be able to actually do this, even though this was a fairly intense Ley Line to attempt to converge energies with. I figured that I could try and adjust the Ley Line like I did with the magical items that I enchanted, which was an error. I grit my teeth as I felt almost pure electricity run through my body from the energy of the Ley Line. I knew that I couldn’t stop yet, and just powered through it. I refocused my mind to continue with the task.

  I spent the next hour working on subtly shifting my resonance with the resonance of my magic aura to align it more with the Ley Line’s energy. I must have recovered well from the lightning, or it must have spurred me on, because I was very successful in getting my own resonance in line with the Ley Line’s resonance. I readied myself for the next portion of my attunement, the sealing of the additional resonance in my own mystical aura. This time, I managed to get a better handle on the process, and seal the change into my aura, allowing me to enhance my spells with the power of this Ley Line. As I felt the energy course through me, I felt my wounds heal and I regained the magical potential that I had started the day with, just before passing out.

  I woke up after about two hours to realize that I had been revitalized by the experience and noting that something else had changed as well. I had gained even more mystical energy, and felt the siren call of the Void Bound Mistress, the Black Butterfly, accepting me into her service as her Evangelist on this world. I realized that I would have to spend more time meditating on her requirements for an Evangelist, even if I wouldn’t spend a lot of time actually proselytizing. I decided to spend a spell casting Page-Bound Epiphany to get as much of her tenets as I could, and copy it into a book. I was intrigued that I had access to even more spells than I had had before, and chalked it up to a combination of all of the things that had just been done and accomplished.

  I finished off the day with casting all of the Unseen Crafters I could. They were all empowered beyond what I would even expect, which I assume is due to the power of the Ley Line that I am tapping into. Other spells that I could cast were also improved by the same amount, and the amount of spells that I could cast were improved as well. I also figured out that I had crossed a new threshold in what kinds of spells I could cast, somewhat influenced by the Lady of the Silent Void, that I could quiet my weapons, which means that I now had less reason to use lighter weapons. From what I learned from studying the lore of my patron is that she requires her followers to commit random acts of charity to people whom they never know or learn of, just to promote the idea that random acts of goodness and hope can happen.

  If I was to ever learn who was the recipient of the charity, I’d have to meditate blindfolded in the dark and then tithe to a good faith. Aside from that, I am supposed to study the stars and their patterns, notice moments of silence in the world, and perform anonymous acts of kindness. I’m banned from disrupting another's meditation, interrupting others' tranquil moments, or playing noisy or discordant music, not exactly the most difficult prohibitions to accomplish. I figure that I can accomplish all of that without being pushy about the faith. Mainly being an example and answering questions kind of Evangelist. I decided to spend the first night meditating in the dark, with a blindfold on, even though I was already donating to charity, as I felt that one shouldn’t preclude the other.
