With Charlotte being put out of commission, the last fighter in Charles’s way was the chief of defense. Both fighters were battered and bruised, but Charles’s ear to ear grin had displayed a far greater willingness to fight than his opponent.
This is the third time I am battling this man. Each time my efforts simply amounted to a fun game for this madman. The Queen Deathbringer pondered as they stood off against each other. But all the destruction he has caused just to fulfil his battle lust, and all my comrades who died by his hands…
Riling herself up as she reminisced on her fallen comrades, the Queen Deathbringer had suddenly disappeared. Charles had constantly turned his head, tracking the sudden bangs and sonic booms which repeatedly appeared around the environment.
The super soldier had suddenly appeared next to him with a fist to the jaw, but Charles’s reaction was too great as he leaned his body at an angle backwards. She never laid up as the super soldier tossed out many jabs to which Charles blocked with his hulking biceps and sculpted forearms.
“You hit hard. You remind me of those super soldiers I fought just before the blessed slaughterer,” Charles commended as he blocked. “But it’s not enough!”
He retaliates against the attacking super soldier with a straight jab, its force blowing away nearby debris and ground. His smile grew despite his punch missing its mark, the Queen Deathbringer narrowly ducking underneath it.
Like a snake coiling around its prey, the Queen Deathbringer had hopped onto and wrapped herself around the arm that failed to strike her. His eyes widened as she held onto his arm with all but one hand, and instead stretched her free arm towards his face.
Kssht!
A stinging sensation had pierced Charles’s face as the right side of his field of vision had instantly obscured into black.
“Grugh!” Charles grunted as he lifted his arm – the super soldier still wrapped around his arm – into the air. With a grunt of effort leaving his mouth, Charles had slammed her into the ground. A large shockwave had expanded outward, compressing air and debris as if it were a moving wall.
All that was left was a crater, dozens of meters in diameter, and the Queen Deathbringer barely conscious in the center. Though she attempted to gather strength to stand after laying there for several seconds, the Queen Deathbringer could only manage to roll over, just to violently cough up blood from her mouth.
The super soldier may have been brutalized from that smashing attack, but it's not as though she never got something in return for her efforts. Charles had covered his right eye, and blood had run down like a fountain.
“Ha…haha. You got my eye good!” Charles remarked as he removed his hand from his face, only his left eye remained open. “You’re still coming out swinging, even to the end, huh?”
Placing his hands in his pockets, Charles simply gazed at the downed super soldier.
“Heh, whoops. I accidentally used my full strength,” Charles apologized. “You’re probably down for the–”
With a sudden burst of energy, the Queen Deathbringer had jumped up to her feet and placed herself directly in front of her enemy. With his arms magnetizing to his side, the chief of defense had made another attempt to ensnare Charles.
“Haha! That’s it!” Charles yelled as he flashed his arms to the side and tearing the webs which coiled around his body, before wrapping his arms around the Queen Deathbringer’s back as if hugging her. “Keep fighting!”
“Gah!” The super soldier screamed as Charles applied pressure onto her back with his forearms. Despite her attempts to strike at his arms, Charles never budged as he slowly squeezed her.

M-My back…it hurts! She internally screamed. D-Dammit! I won’t go out like this!
Giving up on attempting to escape, she instead placed her palms on Charles’s body. Instantly, the lines on his body spurted blood.
“Guh, a game…of chicken, huh!?” Charles remarked. “Alright, let’s play then!”
Come on, I need more! Give me more threads! The Queen Deathbringer pondered as she slowly tore through his muscles with the sharp invisible threads which squeezed his body. His body is extremely tough, I need more so I can rip through his muscles!
SNAP, CRACK!
“Bfft, AAAHHHHHHH!!!” With audible cracks and pops, the Queen Deathbringer’s back bent horribly as Charles squeezed. Blood had ejected itself from her mouth, along with her screams, which splashed on Charles’s face.
Returning to consciousness, Charlotte’s eyes had fluttered before fully springing open. Her attention was immediately drawn to the ear piercing screams that left the super soldier’s mouth.
What the…Charles and the super soldier…? Charlotte muttered as she stood up from the rubble. Wait…this is my chance!
D-Don’t…stop! With blood leaking not only from her mouth, but even through her eyes and nose, the Queen Deathbringer continued to motivate herself. E-Even If I die here…even if I’m not the one to kill him…I need…to inflict severe damage on him. Someone else will finish this monster off.
With a loud pop, Charles’s left arm had fallen to his side.
“Guh, you really tore through my arm!” Charles remarked with a grin. “You might not be as strong as him, but your tenacity makes you just as fun as the blessed slaughterer!”
With his compliment, Charles had released the tension on his other arm and the super soldier had dropped to the ground like a puppet with its strings missing.
“Huff, huff…yeah, that was…a great fight,” With nasty gashes visible all over his body, even to the point of his blood constantly spurting out and bones being exposed, Charles staggered. “If only…you could have given me this by yourself…then I’d have been truly…satisfied–”
“RRRAAAHHHHHH!!!” No sooner had he defeated the super soldier than Charlotte had darted towards him. With fragments rotating at ridiculous speeds like a buzzsaw screaming nonstop around her rock hardened fist, Charlotte had slammed a straight punch into Charles’s chest.
With the fragments tearing through his chest, Charles was blasted across the city. He had ended up sprawled in rubble, his beating heart being exposed through his ravaged chest.
“...Huff, urgh…cfft,” With blood escaping from her mouth, her trembling legs had given out as Charlotte fell to her knees. “And…stay down.”
“Cough, eugh…” Charlotte had turned her head to the coughs and soft grunts of the Queen Deathbringer. “Y-You are…alive…”
“Huff, you look…like a mess,” Charlotte remarked as she inched over to the super soldier. “You did well holding him off and giving me a free shot, but you probably won’t make it.”
The Queen Deathbringer had remained silent, only her wheeze-filled breaths were audible.
“It’s unfortunate that you will die, but you shouldn’t feel sad,” Charlotte continued. “You did your best and fought for the president until the end–”
“N-No…n-not, guh…not for the…president. F-For my…comrades,” Having a hard time just to force the words out, the Queen Deathbringer interrupted. “I don’t want…anymore of them…to die.”
Ah…I’m glad. I finally got to avenge my old comrades, while protecting my current ones. The Queen Deathbringer pondered as her expression looked rather fatigued, as if she was about to fall asleep. I’m tired now…Good luck Mohawk, Twintails…and you too, Rebecca.
“...What did you say?” With furrowed eyebrows, Charlotte muttered. Her question wasn’t met with a response, as the Queen Deathbringer’s chest had stopped rising and falling. The light had left from her eyes. “How dare…this damn bitch.”
Tch, I wanted her to die, anyway, so it doesn’t matter. Charlotte remarked. Well, I guess this is killing two birds with one stone.
Mustering her strength, Charlotte had returned to her feet.
“I can’t just sit idly by when the rest of the criminals…are still up and about,” Charlotte muttered as she limped. “I’ll keep…protecting the madam.”
Leaving the now deceased super soldier, Charlotte had slowly limped away. Silence had now filled the area…that was until the sudden laughter washed away the peace.
“Hahaha! Urgh…So good!” Pulling himself out of the rubble was Charles. He may have been alive, but the blood which spewed from his upper body like a fountain and his heart and ribcage being visibly exposed, weren’t exactly indicators of an optimal condition. “Where’d she go? It’s time for round three!”
