“Holy shit!” With the splitting apart of several other rock spheres, Frank questioned. “What the hell even happened here, Charlotte!?”
“The criminals happened, Frank. That’s what happened,” Leon replied as he focused his gaze on Lilith and her gang. Both him and Nolan had also been protected by rock spheres.
“Well, shit. They really have lost their minds, huh?” Frank remarked with a smile that connected to his right ear. “Treason doesn’t even begin to describe this act.”
“Heh, that reminds me, how’s your boyfriend doing? Still laying around like a pathetic vegetable, I bet” With a smug smile, Ada questioned. “You shouldn’t be angry though, your boyfriend was one of the best to torment–”
“Keep running your mouth, Ada,” Drawing her katana and pointing it at the president, Lilith interjected. “It’s going to feel so much better when I kill you.”
The demeanors of both her and her lackeys drastically soured, as if it was a natural reaction.
“How dare you…you’re getting on my nerves,” Biting her nails in response to Lilith’s words, Ada muttered. “I thought you already knew, but my rage is a thing to behold.”
“I’ve heard enough of your disrespect!” With a sharp and loud tone, Charlotte burst out. She brought her hand to the air, and a bulge slowly sprouted from the ground. “Allow me to put an end to these criminal scum!”
The bulge had morphed into a protruding spike almost immediately, and Lilith’s eyes had widened by the sheer speed of the rock formation elongating towards her.
With a large gust of wind, the sharp end of the spike had exploded in rock fragments. Through the dust, Charles had charged at Charlotte.
“Ha! You’re the strong one!” Charles remarked as he clenched his fist. “Let’s fight!”
He failed to come close as the rock fragments all converged and slammed onto his body, blasting him away.
“...You guys protect the madam with your lives,” Charlotte remarked as she gazed at her allies. The ground near her had behaved like putty, as Charlotte crafted it into a large club. “Have fun with this, Frank. I’ll take on Charles myself.”
Gifting her brother the blunt instrument, Charlotte had hopped to the direction she had launched Charles. With the rumbling of large armored cars, and the whacking sounds of helicopter blades cutting through the air, the criminals were greeted to the sight of the president’s army surrounding the district.
Machine guns of all varieties were drawn – not just limited to the hands of soldiers, but also mounted to the armored vehicles, whether on land or aerial. Amid all this infantry were the white spots of super soldiers.
“Wow, you guys arrived so quickly!” Ada commended as she clapped. “Great job!”
“...Stay near to me, madam,” Nolan remarked. “I’ll protect you.”
“Ooh, you sound like a prince,” Ada teased. “But speaking of prince, I don’t see that parasite. Where is she?”
“You still see her as nothing more than that, huh?” Lilith remarked. “Well, you'll surely regret what you did to her as well.”
She had shifted her view to Zack, who had his own attention shifted elsewhere. As he gazed at the crowded army, he saw someone very familiar.
“That guy is here, huh? Of course,” Zack muttered. “Well, Lilith. Charles has been getting on with it, so it’s our time to act.”
“...Yeah.”
In an instant, Zack had leaped onto the roof of a building that had its structure scarred heavily by the explosion. Like a magnet, everything had turned themselves and their weapons at Zack. That could not disinterest him anymore though, as his gaze focused on one man – Mohawk.
The man who beat him within an inch of his life, of course he’d be fixated on the super soldier, and Mohawk felt the exact same. The two matched each other's gazes, as if this was their destiny. After several moments of gazing, Zack had suddenly taken off running.
Like a serial killer alone with his victim, Mohawk responded to Zack’s dash with a maniacal grin. With a thunderous shockwave that roused the grunts of his unmodified allies, Mohawk had charged in his direction.
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
“Someone’s excited, huh?” Ada remarked. “He’s like a bloodhound.”
“Heh, I wanted to kill Zack myself, but I’ll leave Mohawk to it,” Leon remarked as he smirked and rubbed his chin. “He clearly needs it more than I do.”
“Now, Lilith. What will you–”
Before Ada was allowed to mock her any further, Lilith had run the complete opposite direction.
“Huh?” Ada uttered as she raised her eyebrow. “She’s running away?”
Lilith was running away, but it never proved easy. The moment she ran, a violent boom had split apart the asphalt and slammed violently into vehicles. The unmodified soldiers unfortunate enough to be near Lilith had been caught up in a torrent of dust.
Before the sound had arrived, Lilith was already miles away. No one could react to her speed – none of the unmodified soldiers. Wasting no time, super soldiers had charged in her direction.
“Hmm, so that’s what she’s doing, huh?” Ada remarked as portions of the army had moved in different directions, both on land and air, as they hunted down the criminals. “She realized how stupid it would be to attack me, so she’s trying to split up the forces, huh?”
“She’s got guts, I’ll give her that,” Frank remarked.
“Nah, she’s just retarded,” Leon added. “It’s all hopeless.”
Amused by the situation before her, Ada had let out a giggle.
“Fufu, three criminals and a parasite, huh?” Ada remarked. “I guess they have no clue how large the military of the United States really is.”
“Heh, I’ll let them play around for a bit,” Frank remarked. “I’ll get my fun later.”

Charlotte had caught up to Charles who had been knocked across the entire district. She displayed no act of kindness to the criminal as she greeted him with several lengthy spanning ground spikes.
“Nice!” Accepting the unique greeting with a grin on his face, Charles had leaped towards the worm like rock formations beamed at him. There was no fear in his eyes as Charles struck each of the sharpened edges of the spikes, blasting through them as he went.
He kept his flow as he set his sights for the creator of the spikes. Just like Charles, Charlotte’s facial expression remained unshaken as the criminal closed in. The fragments of the spikes which Charles destroyed had rushed in the way of the two fighters, shielding Charlotte from Charles’s fist.
“Ha…haha, my instincts were correct,” Charles remarked as he jumped back. “This’ll be fun.”
“Huh?”
“I remember when you saved Ada from Nathan back then. Your spikes were quite tough!” Charles explained. “I know you’ve got more in you.”
“...Charles Warner, the man who killed the blessed slaughterer. I hear your punches are comparable to low yield nuclear bombs,” Charlotte remarked. “All that power, and you’re still going to die here.”
“Hah! That’s the spirit.”

Zack had traversed countless blocks, shattering both glass and concrete of roads and infrastructure as he ran.
I’ve done some coke before this, so I’m completely focused now. Zack pondered as he ran. Thanks to Rose, I feel free now!
Zack had looked behind him as he ran, and he witnessed Mohawk chasing close behind.
Even though I got the super soldier serum from the director, he’s still gaining on me, huh. Zack pondered. Well, I figured he’d still be faster than me.
Zack had decreased in speed before he came to a full stop. Mohawk had responded in kind.
“Did you finally realize how pointless running was? You were faster than before, I’ll give you that,” Mohawk remarked as he walked closer to Zack. “I’ve been waiting for this day, so I’d prefer it if you don’t do all that running shit.”
“Shut your dumbass up,” Gesturing at Mohawk with the middle finger, Zack retorted. “I don’t give a shit about your obsession.”
“Piece of shit…” With scrunched eyebrows and a forced smile, Mohawk remarked.
The moron took the bait and immediately followed me here. I’m sure more will catch up. Zack pondered. I’ll do my best to take some burden off of you, Lilith.

Though the army had been split up, it never meant Lilith was out of the waters. She still had her own portion to deal with.
“So this is Nathan’s girlfriend, huh?” Before Lilith stood dozens of super soldiers, and one had taken the opportunity to mock her. “What a shame. You could have been something good with those looks of yours.”
She never entertained the soldier with an answer, as Lilith coldly gazed at them, katana in hand.
“Well, whatever. You’re screwed!” The super soldier yelled as he charged at her. He had telegraphed a straight punch, and Lilith stooped low to avoid it.
Shhk!
With a hiss that sliced through the air, Lilith’s sword had torn through the soldier’s chest with a wet rip. With a diagonal line of red drawn across the soldier’s upper body, he fell to the ground.
The soldiers around him had widened their eyes several moments after the thud of his body on the ground.
The blade of her katana was now stained with red, and it now shook violently in her trembling hand. Lilith’s rate of breathing had spiked, and sweat seeped from the pores of her face.
No! Stop your damn shaking! Lilith internally demanded as she grabbed her own shaking arm. You've got to kill that part of you.
Her abnormal breathing and trembling limbs lasted several seconds, decreasing in its intensity before returning to its calmed state.
“...Good.”
