[Before the Assembly began]

  A new day started, a day which will mark as the start for many, some were excited like Yota, some argued with eachother like Ren and Jeff, while some prepared themselves for the Assembly like Jim. The assembly is an important day for all the students, regardless of which year they are in, for freshmen: their exact rankings will be shown, a hierarchy will be formed, for the upperclassmen: a race to acquire talents for their clubs will begin, and for the teachers… well they can teach new students.

  Yota, wakes up, excited as ever, he hastily went to the washroom and freshened up, “Man, I am so excited!” he exclaimed as he ran across his room, and slammed the door open with style and said.

  “Look out! The greatest demon hunter is coming!”

  As he was excited in the corridor, making a scene, he hears a reply from Jim next door

  “Shut your mouth I say,

  You’re just an A rank nay?

  Greatest demon hunter, you are not,

  Yelling in the morning, you shall abort.”

  Yota got annoyed and exclaimed

  “Oh come on Jim! This is the starting of our journey, Come out!”

  Yota started banging on Jim’s door,

  “Hey, let’s go get Ren and the others, come!”

  Jim comes out, all sleepy and drowsy and starts to speak

  “ You shall-“

  But he is interrupted by Yota, “Forget your poems, Lets go!” he grabs Jim’s hand and started running, forcefully dragging him along.

  While everyone is excited, joyous, nervous, and even scared, Ric sleeps on his bed, an uninterrupted deep sleep, it looks like he is sleeping peacefully…or is he?

  “Where am i?” He thought, surrounded by complete darkness, as if the void has engulfed him, he can feel, but there was nothing, he could touch, but there was nothing to touch but himself, he could hear, but there was no sound, just emptiness, “What is this place?” as he drifted in the abyss of loneliness, confused, and clueless.

  Suddenly a storm erupted, out of nowhere, a tsunami of blood manifested, filling up the place, drowning Ric in the raging waves, “What the heck?!” he held his breath as he was drowning, and tried to swim to the surface, flailing his hands, moving his legs, he pushed himself upwards, struggling to breathe, “What the heck is happening?!”

  Ric didn’t know why, but he instinctively swam like his life depended on it, and after a minute, he was on the surface. he gasped heavily, and as he opened his eyes he saw nothing but blood, waves of it raging, pushing Ric around. In that state where there was nothing, he saw someone… standing on the ocean of blood, a black figure drenched in red, Ric reached out his hand towards him and yelled out “Hey! Save me! “ but the waves splashed on him, pushing him away, trying to drown him again.

  Ric struggled, and barely managed to keep himself above the surface of blood, amidst this struggle, he saw the figure walking towards him, with an eerie smile on his pitch black face, it raised his hand out towards Ric.

  It sent chills down Ric’s spine, he felt fear, fear that even Reinhardt’s blood lust couldn’t incur, fear that even an 8th circle mage couldn’t intice, but this supposedly black entity, made him feel true fear. But even though his legs were shaking, he didn’t lose his cool, “I-I don’t what the heck that is, but i-its definitely not friendly!” he swam, panic starting to engulfing him, he swam away, trying to save himself, scared for his life.

  But he couldn’t, no matter how hard he tried, he was stuck in the same place, while the entity slowly walked towards him, every single step of it echoed in the raging ocean,”If I cant escape, then atleast i should try talking.” “Hey! Who are you!” Ric yelled, but to no avail, the black figure slowly kept coming closer as Ric’s panic grew, ”W-what is this place?! Why am I here?! What the heck are you!”, A wave splashed him, briefly sending him below the surface as “Ugh” he spat out the blood which entered his mouth and swam back up, “Is this really it? Is this how I di-“ as he was thinking, his mind despairing, and his body giving up, it spoke.

  “Did… you… forget…?”

  A voice so deep and loud that made the sound of waves feel silent, a voice of pure malice, hate, and rage. Which would give anyone goose bumps, and Ric was just a teen, just a little bit more mature, his instincts screamed at him, he started to lose his cool, his mind was on the verge of breaking, then… just as he blinked for fraction of a second, the black figure stood before him, his red eyes staring at Ric, and it said

  “I… am…”

  Suddenly a bright light shone from beneath, a light so bright, that everything disintegrated, shining brightly like the sun, as Ric jolted out from his sleep.
