Senior Lu Zheng

With the help of the Ocean’s Heart Qi technique, Lu Zheng kept his mind in a calm state, letting him think while trying to control his acting.

He said, “About that, we are already informed. They immediately left and began their search, while Senior Fu Bai tasked me to remain here as that despicable member of the Azure Tide Clan might possibly come here.”

Lu Zheng was aware of almost all the identity of the internal members of the Scorching Blade Clan.

After all, he studied them, believing it might come handy.

Of course, his primary reason was to understand their battle style, their power levels, as he believed he might fight them in a tournament in the Ebonshade City in the future.

However, who would have thought it would come handy in such an unexpected situation?

Out of the five internal members and five external members, only three of them Lu Zheng recognized—they were all internal members, too.

Especially Fu Bai, who was obviously their leader, and has already gained quite a reputation for his power, not only in the Scorching Blade Clan but in the entire Ebonshade City.

Hence, without hesitation, the external members did not doubt him anymore.

After all, Xing Da also informed him of the leader of the group, who was tasked to bait the members of the Azure Tide Clan.

The leader of the external members nodded and cupped his fists, being followed by his fellow members.

He said, “Thank you, Senior. May I inquire about the Senior's name?”

Lu Zheng was a bit stunned.

Suddenly, he smiled and said, “I’m Lu Zheng. I just came out of seclusion. In fact, I was still in the middle of cultivating when the clan suddenly issued a must-kill on the Azure Tide Clan, so I did not have a choice.”

The leader of the external member furrowed his eyebrows. He thought. I have not heard that name, though.

He then scrutinized Lu Zheng and thought. He’s also a bit young. Someone like him becoming an internal member early should be famous already.

Aside from wearing the t-shirt of the internal members, Lu Zheng also wore the robe of the internal members. Furthermore, it appeared it was quite big for him.

They could not help but feel suspicious.

Suddenly, Lu Zheng said, “You might not know about me since I have only become an internal member through… well, you know. Elder Lu Bao secretly helped me to become an internal member. Of course, I have proven my capabilities.

Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.

Only that, he wanted it to keep it a secret since I have become the youngest internal member in the clan. He was planning the Clan Head once everything settled down.”

Lu Zheng smiled at them and winked, saying, “Now, you five are into this secret. You better keep it, or else, you will endure Elder Lu Bao’s wrath.”

They trembled immediately. Elder Lu Bao was the most feared elder in the Scorching Blade Clan.

If words of his secret spread, quick death would be merciful of him.

The leader of the external members nodded hurriedly as he said in a trembling voice, “I-I will keep it a secret. Is it only us who knows about this?”

Lu Zheng shook his head and said, “Yes, I guess. When I met Senior Fu Bai, they thought I was a fraud, since this robe is also a bit bigger than me. Well, I simply proved myself by fighting them.

  They were instantly convinced.”

Lu Zheng grinned and asked in a teasing voice, “Are you not?”

The leader of the external members hurriedly shook his head and hastily said, “I am. I-I mean, we are!”

He turned to his fellow external members left to right and saw them nodding their heads frantically.

Lu Zheng chuckled and said, “That’s good.”

He turned to the tables, where many members of the Scorching Blade Clan were seen to be sleeping.

The leader of the external members looked to where he was looking and was surprised. Most of them were external members while the rest were simply civilians of Ebonshade City.

He turned to Lu Zheng and before he was able to say anything, Lu Zheng beat him into it.

Lu Zheng said, “You better wake them up. We can’t afford a mad demon on the loose to take advantage of it and massacre them.”

Not only the leader of the external members, but the rest of them trembled in fear.

Just recalling the brutality of the mad demon on the loose, as their Senior Lu Zheng described him, towards their deceased seniors and fellow external members made their heart quivered.

Obviously, the mad demon on the loose left a massive impact on them.

The leader of the external members nodded and said, “W-We will wake them up immediately.”

He turned to his fellow members, who hastily executed the task after cupping their fists towards Lu Zheng.

Before the leader of the external members, the last to make a move, turned around, he heard Lu Zheng’s voice, stopping him for a moment.

“Also, if better, gather them together and quickly search for that mad demon. I alone am enough to take care of him if he ever appears here.”

The leader of the external members was in awe. His eyes sparkled in admiration as he cupped his fists and enthusiastically shouted, “Yes, Senior Lu Zheng!”

“Mhm. Good.” Lu Zheng smiled at them ambiguously.

It did not take less than ten minutes to wake all the external members. They were quickly sobered up enough after hearing what happened to their fellow external and internal members.

They hastily gathered around in a group to search for the mad demon on the loose, with, at least, tens of them in one group.

As soon as their preparations were finished, they lined up in front of Lu Zheng, as they cupped their fists, bidding farewell.

They turned around and left, leaving behind the leader of the external members in front of Lu Zheng, together with the previous four of his fellows.

He cupped his fists and said, “Remember me, Senior Lu Zheng. I-I mean… please remember me. I am Huo Peng, the ninth rank in the top ten ranking list in the external members. Once I become an internal member, I’ll treat you to a drink soon.”

Lu Zheng grinned and said, “Go ahead. I’ll be waiting for that.”
