“The 26th floor, finally!”

  Notification.

  Refrain from attacking the doppelgangers for 10 minutes.

  “Wha—”

  Slap! The sound of a palm cutting Hilda's face sounds out through her living room as she touches her face a bit, still processing what just happened.

  “What just…”

  Hilda looks in front of her, seeing her mother's boyfriend standing there as he tries to slap her again, resulting in her grabbing his arm in time.

  “You little brat! Let go of me now or else!”

  He starts trying to pull away as Hilda slowly tightens her grip.

  “Hilda, stop that or you'll break his arm. Remember, it said to refrain no matter how much you want to hit him.” Shila reminds as Hilda lets go of his arm reluctantly, walking away while ignoring the remarks being made from behind her.

  “Annoying bastard.” Hilda thinks while carrying Jamine and Shila onto her lap, confusing them both.

  “Mom, what are you doing?”

  “What? Don't like it?”

  “No, I didn't say I didn't!” Jamine quickly shakes her head.

  “Hilda, she might be fine without an explanation but I'm not.”

  “Either this or I may just go kill somebody.”

  Hilda says, causing Shila to sigh, lying on her body as she sits on the couch.

  “Hilda just don't.. don't kill anybody, their probably all doppelgangers seeing as the quest was simply not to attack and it even said doppelgangerS, meaning plural.”

  “Yes got it—”

  Suddenly another slap sounds out from another room as Hilda sighs.

  “Screw it, it's probably mom dearest along with mom dearest’s boyfriend fighting again.”

  Hilda suddenly notices Shila look backwards before looking back forwards nervously.

  “What are you doing?”

  “What am I doing? What are you doing?” Shila replies a bit too quickly as Hilda looks backwards, finding ‘Mother dearest.”

  “Wait…” Hilda looks over, teleporting over to where her mom's boyfriend went, finding Lela on the ground in front of him.

  Shila and Jamine starts pulling her arms, trying to get her back as she teleport back to the couch surprising Shila with Jamine not caring due to simply pulling Hilda because Shila said to do so.

  “Hilda, your surprisingly… calm?” Shila tilts her head curiously.

  “It's just for 10 minutes… then I'll blow up another damn city to piss the damn guide off for doing this.” Hilda answers, forcing a smile on her smile while looking at Shila.

  “I… can't be bothered..” Shila what's for the 10 minutes to pass before teleporting then to the 27th floor without waiting for Hilda to confirm.

  “Hilda, ignore the notification, just fight. You can take your anger out here.”

  Hilda looks around, finding herself in her home, this time completely devoid of anybody except a clone of her, Shila and Jamine there.

  “Fight huh? Sure.” Hilda immediately uses mental attacks on them along with sword qi and mana and conversion magic, her clone doing the same.”

  They keep exchanging hits, Shila and Jamine both doing the same with their clones.

  After an hour, they get completely nowhere due to the clones and the originals attacking exactly the same, resulting in no hits being landed and their leech being too slow to kill anybody fast enough.

  “Hilda, how about we come back later? We have multiple tries.”

  “Fine, but only because I want to sleep on a comfortable bed after so long of being stuck with the bastard.”

  “Sure.”

  Hilda flips her clone off as Shila teleports them to the tenth floor.

  As Shila teleports them, they get sent to the tenth floor before a glowing symbol appears on their hands, sending them back to the room with Evan.

  “What the hell.” Hilda sends a wave of mana and sword qi at him angrily.

  “No running away.”

  “Stop pestering me. You may not know this but I absolutely hate people who force me and hurt the people I care about. Hilda sends another wave angrily.

  “Relax okay? I said I would introduce you to someone else in the future right? Don't you wanna know who that is?”

  “Fine. Who?”

  “Me.”

  “...”

  “But seriously, I can teach you. But right now we have a bigger problem.”

  “Which is what exactly?”

  “people are here to attack.”

  Hilda turns her attention to the staircase where people swarm in as Evan starts attacking them, killing each of them easily with a single slash of his sword.

  More starts to come in, some stronger than the others as he slowly gets injured and Hilda passes him a healing potion she bought from the shop.

  “See? I knew you didn't hate me.”

  He keeps attacking, eventually clearing everybody up as he turns to face Hilda who is smiling at him.

  “What, you're finally grateful for teaching and helping you?”

  Suddenly, he starts to feel something at his nose as he wipes it off, seeing blood there.

  “What?”

  Hilda walks up closer to him. “I told you before. I hate when people force me, and yea, you did help me but it wasn't enough for me to forget the fact that disconnecting me from the system hurt Shila too.” Hilda says, watching as he coughs up a bit of blood, waving goodbye and teleporting to the 1st floor as he tries to attack her.

  “Hilda, you're a cruel person. Instead of a healing potion you gave poison, if it had activated earlier, you would have been screwed by the people coming in.”

  “But it didn't. Stop thinking so much about it. Right now, the first floor is pretty peaceful so why not enjoy it for a bit for the time being?”

  “... No, I'm going into the territory with Jamine.”

  Shila teleports into the territory with Jamine without hearing Hilda out, quickly hugging Jamine.

  “Jamine, did you hear that? Your mom does care enough about me afterall!”

  “Yea, mom nice!”

  “Yea!”

  Suddenly, Shila gets picked up as she looks behind, finding Hilda.

  “I can manually enter the territory, forgot?” Hilda says, making Shila visibly embarrassed as she tries to hide it.

  “Shut up, you're overreacting.” She turns away, avoiding Hilda's gaze.

  Hilda suddenly feels a tug at the hem of her shirt, looking there and finding Jamine.

  “Oh, Jamine, you want to be carried too?”

  “Yea but wanna tell something. What if for the other mes, we attack one other me at once?”

  “Other mes? Oh, the doppelgangers?”

  “Yea.” Jamine nods, trying to pull Shila out of Hilda's hold while Shila also struggles with Hilda not letting go.

  Hilda turns to Shila who nods while still struggling.

  “Ok, I guess that works. You're smarter than you look.” Hilda says, making Jamine cross her arms.

  “Ok, ok my fault. Don't pout please, it's always a pain when you do.” Hilda picks up with one hand.

  “I'll kill you.” Hilda says, looking at Jamine who gets annoyed.

  “Not funny!”

  “Wait, calm down… I mean your doppelganger… wait, a doppelganger of a doppelganger, so weird.”

  “Fine, kill fake me.”

  Shila quickly takes this chance to interpret it as confirmation to teleport them and does so, taking the chance to escape out of Hilda's hand.
